This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made an ATC and a postcard.

I used a background from my stash. It is a gelli print. I added some white heat embossing with one of Janet's stamps sets for AALL & Create called 'Flower Pops' #523.
After printing and colouring this little girl from an older set called 'Good Reader' I glued her onto the card. A sticker by Tim Holtz finished it off.
You can get her still on request via Janet.

This postcard was really quick to make because I used a collage sheet. These are great for quick projects. All I did was make the background with an AALL & Create stencil (Heapza Hearts #134)  and Distress Oxide ink.  I placed the mermaids on top and added a clippings sticker.
You'll find the collage sheet full of mermaids HERE

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a card and an ATC.

Another ready made background from my stash for this lovely lady from the new set 'Little Miss.' She comes with a hat too! I printed and coloured her and cut her out. I added some stamping and inking to my background. I placed the lady on a piece of Janet's washi tape.

You'll find the set 'Little Lady' HERE

This ATC was made with a collage image from a set that was released a few weeks ago called 'Smile'. She comes uncoloured as well. I added some white embossing on my card that I got from my stash of ATC cards.  I put down some washi tape and pencil lines and placed her on it. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Clipping sticker.

You'll find the set Smile HERE

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's DT post for Vera Lane Studio I made a postcard and an ATC. I used older sets for both projects.

This postcard was made with a background from my stash. I can't even remember how I made it. I can see there is gesso or white paint over the top. I added some stamping and stencilling to make it more interesting. The dog was printed, coloured and cut out. I put him on a piece of Janet's washi tape to ground him. I added some lines and made the sentiment with some clippings stickers by Tim Holtz.

The dog is from the set "Favourite Breeds" and you wil find them HERE

This ATC was also made with a background from my stash. It looks like a mop up from the gelli plate.. lol I used another Flowergirl; I love these. I added some stamping to the background and again used clippings stickers for the sentiment.

You'll find the Flowergirls HERE

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made an ATC with the newly released "Create" set.

He was coloured with Copic Markers and cut out. I placed him on an ATC background from my stash. I have decided to try and use these backgrounds up because some of them have been in that box for years.. lol. Anyway this is a piece of a menu from a fish restaurant. I gelli printed it. The sentiment I used is from the same set.
You'll find this cute little guy HERE

The second project is this postcard made with yet another background from my stash. I glued it onto my postcard base and cut off the right hand edge. I then added a piece of Janet's fab washi tape by AALL & Create and put one of the flower girls on the circle. The sentiment is a stamp by AALL & Create too.

You'll find the collage sheet flower girls HERE

This AJ page was made with a gelliprint from my stash. I added white embossing with an AALL & Create background stamp and then put this nerdy girl on the top. I added some of Janet's new washi tape (AALL & Create) and a small talk sticker.
You'll find this girl in the set called 'Specs Appeal' HERE

This postcard was made with one of the Flowergirls from the 'Flower girls' collage set. I made the background by dunking a piece of paper into Distress Oxide ink and water. I used Spices Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon. I then brayer-ed over white paint. I added some of Janet's new washi tape (AALL & Create) and some small talk stickers.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my post for Vera Lane Studio. This week I have made two cards:

I used a background from my stash for this card. It is made with Pan Pastels and a stencil on the gelliplate.

I printed the monkey and coloured him with my Copic Markers, cut him out and adhered him to the panel. I put down some AALL & Create washitape for him to stand on. The hat and the sentiment are from the 'It's a party' collage sheet.

You find the monkey HERE
The 'It's a party' collage sheet is still available on request.

This card was made with one of the flower girls from the 'Flower Girls' collage sheet. I can't get enough of them, they are so cute. I made the background with Distress Oxide inks in Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo. I used these inks for stamping too; I used Janet's 'Background Noise' stamp set for this.

You'll find the Flower Girls HERE

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For this weeks Vera Lane Studio project I have made a book mark and two ATC's.

The bookmark was made with the this week released set 'Coffee, tea, books'. It is all one layer except for the sentiment. I resized and printed the images, piling them on top of each other, then coloured everything including the background with my Copic Markers.
You'll find this set HERE.

These two ATC's were made with the Collage sheet 'Flower Girls'. I accidentally cut the second one too small but only noticed after I finished them. So I decided to leave it.
The backgrounds were made with alcohol inks on the gelli plate. The Sentiments are Tim Holtz small talk stickers.
You'll find the collage sheet HERE

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday, today I have made 2 postcards with the new 'Flowergirls Collage Sheet' for Vera Lane Studio. One is happy and one is sad...

This was a mop up background from another project. I used this piece of card to put a stencil on after spraying ink through it. I added some white paint with a brayer and then stamped it here and there (#338 - Background Noise by AALL & Create).
The clouds are stamped (#301 - Flowers & Sunshine, AALL & Create) on dictionary paper. I also tore the word cloud from the same dictionary and stuck it at the bottom for her to stand on. The sentiment is a think Bob Ross used to say and I thought it was funny !

This one isn't so happy, she is dreaming of her old life before this horrible time descended on her and she is a bit like me.. The sentiment is cut out of a book, the background was made with a large background stamp that I heat embossed with white powder and then dunked it into Distress Oxide inks.

You'll find the Flowergirls Collage Sheet HERE.

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's project I have made 3 ATC's :

This one was made with 'Bit'; I added some stencilling (Stencil #96 - Dandilion Field by AALL & Create) on a piece of green card and embossed it with glittery holographic powder. Difficult to see in the picture. I added some stamping (Stamp #338 Background Noise by AALL & Create). I added a few pieces of washi tape and a clippings sticker before gluing her on top. You'll find Bit HERE

These were made with 2 pieces of MM paper on which I printed stencil #118 'Saturday Morning' by AALL & Create. I used Distress Oxide inks for this. I added some washi tape and then places two of the girls from the Off Vera Lane Collage sheet on them. I stamped some of the same paper with a text stamp from set #338 Background Noise by AALL & Create and then stamped the crowns on top. This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio projects I have made a card and a postcard.

This clean and simple card was made by printing one of Janet's stencils on the front and then adding this sad girl from the newly released collage sheet. The 'washi tape' is from the same collage set. The sentiment is a snarky sticker by Tim Holtz.

You'll find this collage set HERE

This postcard was made with the 'Big Game' set. I printed, coloured and cut the hippo out. The background is a print with an AALL & Create stencil and Distress Oxide ink. The washi tape is by AALL & Create also. I stamped the background here and there with Janet's 'Visual Ingredients' stamp set by AALL & Create and placed the hippo on the card. The sentiment is from another set called 'Hat Drama'.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday !
For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made 2 postcards. Postcards are great ! Small area so not too intimidating. Here they are :

The first one is made with the new collage sheet called "Mermaid Collage". I made a background for her with Distress Oxide Inks in similar colours to her. I put the ink on my craft sheet and dunked the paper in it, drying after each 'dunking'. I then stamped the background a little with Janet's "Colour Theory" set and added the little mermaid, a postage stamp and a sentiment sticker.

You'll find her and her sisters HERE

This one was made with a mop up page to which I added some stencilling with Janet's stencil 'Sunrise' and white paint. I also added some white splatters. I printed the girl and the chair, putting them together on the computer first and coloured her and cut her out. I actually used three sets for this card: 'Fragile' (the girl), '50s Chair from 'Mid Century Modern'  and 'Strong woman' for the sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a card and a postcard.

This card was made with a piece of gelli printed paper. I added some stencilling and stamping using Janet's 'Background Noise' stamp set by AALL & Create. The girl was printed, coloured and cut out. I adhered some washi tape and placed the girl on top. The sentiment finished the card off.
This girl is from the 'Warm Wishes' set and you'll find it HERE.

This postcard was made with a mop up page from the gelli plate. I added the pink with a brayer later. I added a little bit of stamping and used images from the collage set 'It's a Party' to create this scene. The banner is made from the party hats on this sheet.

You'll find this fab collage sheet HERE.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday and welcome to my weekly blogpost for Vera Lane Studio. For today I have made a card and a postcard.

This postcard was made with a gel printed background, I just added some polkadots through a stencil with white paint. Cate was coloured and cut out; I used my Copics with a tiny bit of pencil for shading. I stood her on a piece of washi tape and added a clippings sticker as a sentiment.

You'll find Cat and her Canine HERE

The second project is a card:

This little birdie is from the "For the birds" collage sheet. I simply made a print with a stencil (you rub Distress Oxide Ink on the stencil, spritz with water and print) and added a piece of pattern paper and some washi tape for him to stand on. I then added the sentiment which is from an older set.

You'll find the collage sheet HERE.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday and welcome to my weekly blogpost for Vera Lane Studio. I can't believe it is October already ! Where did the Summer go. When you read this I have just got back from holiday and as I always work ahead these projects (a postcard and 2 Artist Trading Coins) were made in August !

The background of this postcard was made with a brayer. I used Distress Oxide inks and rolled them over the card, blue on one side, green on the other. I then toned it all down with white acrylic paint. Next I printed the newly release 'Catgirl' and coloured her with Copics, I then cut her out and put her aside. I thought the card needed something more. So in my stash I found these fish. They are from the Collage sheet Fisher Woman. She is still available upon request. I think they go great together. The sentiment is from the Catgirl set.

You'll find Cat girl HERE

These coins were cut from pattern paper and inked around the edges. The girls are from the 'Kokeshi Dolls' set. I printed them on watercolour paper and watercolored them. I then cut them out and adhered them onto the coins. I added 2 Chit Chat sticker by Tim Holtz.

You'll find the Kokeshi Dolls HERE

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

and Happy Thursday ! When you read this I will be on the last day of my UK holiday. This post was written in June so you see I always work way ahead; not even only for holidays. I just like to stay ahead ! Anyway, here are my Vera Lane Studio postcards for this week:

I love making postcards because they are not too large, so not too intimidating. I started off with a piece of white card stock on which I pressed a stencil which was 'smeared' with Distress Oxide ink and sprayed with water. I love this technique. Gives really fast, interesting backgrounds. Next I added the washi tape and the striped paper. The little girl was printed, coloured, cut out and adhered on the card and I wanted a funny saying to go with her so I chose this snarky sticker by Tim Holtz.

You will find this set called 'Just adorable' HERE

Next is this card with I made by dragging a light blue ink pad over the paper. Next I added pieces of a paper doily and drew a line along the edges. The images are all from Vera Lane Studio collage sheets, I simply cut them out and adhered them. These really are fabulous for quick cards !

The sun is from the "Fun" Collage sheet
The girl is from the "Back to back" Collage sheet
The sentiment is from the 'Back to back sentiments" Collage sheet

Thank you so much for stopping by today !
