Choose to shine

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I have another post for AALL & Create. I have made a card with Bipasha's newest designs. I tried to do something different today but I don't know if I did them justice. I sort of like how it turned out though.

Here's how I made it:

I stamped the flower stamp once at the bottom and once partly in the top left corner.

I then added some washi tape to add more interest.

I added some stencilling too, using graphite paste. It has a very subtle glitter in it.

Next I added white paint here and there using my fingers to tone down the black washi tape, I then stamped over the top of that and in a few other places.

I used watercolour markers to colour the flowers.

Lastly I used this stamp set to make a sentiment for the card.

and there is it.. oh, almost forgot, I did add some white and pink paint splatters.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil #147 - Coffee Stains by Bipasha Bk
Washi #24 - Power Words by Bipasha Bk
Stamps:

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a mini journal page. It is a very simple one because I used design paper for the background. Let's be honest we all have heaps of the stuff, might as well use it....

I started by gluing the design paper down. I then printed, coloured and cut out the images, adhered them to the page. I added the sentiment and that was that !

You'll find these lovebirds called "Cute Couple" HERE

Zen!

 Hello everyone,

It is Tuesday so that means another project for AALL & Create. As you might know I love the Miss Dee stamps and today I used another one to make a tag.

Here's how:

I started with a stencil print with Distress Oxide inks. I used Broken China, Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint inkpads and smooshed them onto the stencil. I then spritzed with water and printed on my tag.

Next as always, some stamping to make the background a little more interesting. I used a mix of old and new stamps.

Adding some washi tape too. I was not happy with it yet but put is aside to have another look later while I coloured miss Dee.

She looks very Zen indeed.

So, I added some white paint to the tag with a brayer and thought it looked better. I then added some more washi tape to sit Miss Dee on but also at the top left corner to balance it a little more.

Here is is all finished. I glued Miss Dee in place, after cutting her out of course ! I added a sentiment from the same set and cut it into strips which I underlined with a black marker. I also added some doodle lines along some of the edges.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil #139 - Snow Pines by Janet Klein
Washi Tape:
#3 - Ponder by Autour de Mwa
#17 - Mix And Match by Janet Klein

Happy birthday

 Hello everyone,

Today's project is the second inspiration piece for the August Challenge over at Country View Challenges. The theme is 'birthday card/gift' so I made another card. I used Katzelkraft stamps this time.

Here's how I made it:

First I watercoloured the rabbit.

He is by Katzelkraft.

Next I coloured a piece of watercolour paper with Distress Oxides by dunking the card into the ink that I spritzed with water.

Next I toned it down with white paint and a brayer.

Stamped the background here and there. I used the same Distress Oxides and a Versafine Clair stamp pad in Nocturne.

I then stamped the sentiment. I needed to be where the rabbit could 'write it' so I had him on the card before stamping so I could guess where to place the stamp.
I also added a few bits of washi tape for him to stand on.

And here it is. I added some doodling lines along the edges to finish it of..

There is still time to play along with our challenge. Made sure to read the RULES though!
Thank you for stopping by today.

Inspire

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made an art journal spread in one of my smaller journals. It measures about 15 x 11 cm and is by Hahnemühle. It turned out a little busy but I think I quite like it.

Here's how I made this:

I made the background with oil pastels; adding vertical stripes of colour in rainbow order. Of course it turned out way to bright to my liking so I used a brayer and white paint to tone it down. I then heat embossed this stamp over the top.

Next I added some stencilling using inks and this Dahlia stencil. I tried to keep to the rainbow again using the same - ish colours as the background.

Next I stamped the background randomly using grey and black Versafine clair.

If it wasn't busy enough.... lol I added some washi tape.

I used this butterfly as a focal and coloured it with Copic Markers.

Next I stamped some of the words of this stamp to use as a sentiment.

And that finished it off.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil #89 - Dahlias by Autour de Mwa

Washi tape: Cut, Tear, Layer by Tracy Evans
Stamps: (all by Tracy Evans)
#304 - Heartfelt
#543 - Reckoner Digits
#734 - Glide
#754 - Power Of The Word

#755 - Round Digits

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a tag that I made with 'Spa day' which was released this week.

I used a stencil print that I had in my stash. I cut it into a tag shape. The stencil is by AALL & Create.
I printed, coloured and cut out the little girl, added washi tape to the paper and glued the image on top. I added the sentiment and ribbon and that finished off the tag.

You'll find this adorable girl HERE.

A time of wonders

 Hello everyone,

It's Tuesday so that means another project for AALL & Create. This time I have made a mini album. I have used Eileen Hull's passport die by Sissix to cut out the book.

Here's how I made this:

After die cutting the pieces for the book I stamped this image by Dominic on the front cover. This was a little more difficult than what I normally do because this image is impossible to cut out so I had to work with it straight on my project.

Next, I used watercolours, watercolour markers and coloured pencils to colour in the image.

I then used watercolours and Distress Ink to colour the background. When that all had dried, I added some stencilling and stamping. I added more later...

I did the same with the spine of the book and the back cover. I just didn't add a focal image.

Next I added some more stamping, some doodling lines and pieces of pattern paper for something different.. The sentiment is a clippings sticker and I added two double pages inside, attaching them to the book with sari ribbon. That finished the book.

The back...

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil #39 - Lotza Dotz by Autour de Mwa
Stamp # 757 - Tickets  by Tracy Evans
Stamp #776 - Funghi Flowers by Dominic Phillips
