To become an artist

 Hello everyone,

Happy New Year ! For this year's very first AALL & Create project I have made a duo of cards.

Here's how:

First I die cut 2 white and 2 black cards with this fabulous set. I will use the black cards as a mat for the white ones.

Next I coloured the white cards with a blending tool and Distress Oxide inks, I then sprayed the stencil with water and put it on the cards. The idea is to bleach out the stencil. It worked by not very well, might have been the card stock I used. I fixed this by putting the stencil back on and using a blending tool and some ink to define the shape of the stencil. Of course after I did this I toned it down with white paint and a brayer. You can see this in the next photo.

Next I stated the eyes on the cards. I used a gelli plate to reverse the image. The print of the one via the gelli plate is always lighter and not quite so sharp but on the whole it's a good way of doing this.

Next, more stamping, this time on white card ready for colouring. Again I reversed the image.

Here they are all coloured up and cut out. I will glue them on the stamped images on the card. I did add a tiny bit of green to the iris later..

This stamp set is fabulous so I used just this one for the background stamping.

I also added some washitapes which I later toned down slightly with white paint and my fingers. I chose the washi tape based on the colours I wanted not the design.

Stamping the sentiment.

I glued the finished cards onto the black die cuts. There is just a small black border left. I think that looks fabulous!

Capture each moment

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create GDT project I have made a 6 x 6 card/journal page. I have used all products by Tracy.

Here's how:

First, I made a gelli print with acrylic paint and a stencil. I then toned it down with a brayer and white paint.

Next, I stamped this stamp here and there using Distress Oxide Walnut Stain.

Next  used this stamp with black VersaFine Clair.

Next, I cut a tag and gave it some colour with Distress Oxide in Antique Linen. I then stamped the flower stem from this set with VersaFine Clair.

I added some washi tape.

Coloured the flower stem with watercolour markers and inked up the edges. I also stamped the background a little with the same ink as the background.

The sentiment.

And here it is all put together. I also inked up the edges of the card and added some string around the tag. I adhered the tag on the page with dimensial adhesive tape. Lastly I added the sentiment. I also inked the edges of the words.

I have used the following products:
All by Tracy Evans

Stencil # 175 - Reptilian Petals
Stamps:
#1007 - It's Acer, Officer
#993 - Vertical Stems

Tag: wishing you all the best for AALL & Create

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a tag I made for AALL & Create.

Here's how I made this

This is a piece of gelli printed (mop-up) paper that I cut smaller and made into a tag.

I stamped the image on it to colour straight on the tag.

I added a little bit of background stamping

Added some stencilling

I then coloured the image with a mixture of watercolour markers and coloured pencils. It was not easy and colouring a separately stamped image is much easier.

I added a few pieces of washi tape

Stamped the sentiment

Here it is, all put together, I added some black lines and white splatters too.

I have used the following products:

Stencil #110 Digits Checked by Bipasha Bl

Washi tape #60 - Melon Seeds by Janet Klein

Stamps: (All by Bipasha)

#552 - Scripted Cross
#443 - Scripted Circles
#630 - Basic Sentiments
#916 - Exodus Dreams

Beauty abounds

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a journal page. This week I have used mainly products by Bipasha Bk. Her flower and bird drawings are superb!

Here's how I made this page:

First I made a 'mop up' page with the gelli plate. I just put on different colours of acrylic paint, usually light colours, making sure I keep complementary colours separate so I don't make mud.
Next I added a stencil print with Distress Oxide ink.

Next I stamped part of the top left flower on my page in three places and heat embossed them with white powder. I know you can't see them yet but you will....

I then used watercolour markers to cooler them. I used the paint pen for the hearts of the flowers adding little dots.

Next I stamped randomly with Versafine Clair. I usually use a light colour for the bigger stamps and grey and black for the smaller ones.

This is the bird I was going to use. I coloured him in pink and didn't like it so stamped him again and coloured him blue the second time. Much better !

How lovely is he?

Then I got carried away and forgot to take more pictures. I only added a piece of washi tape and glued the bird down. The sentiment is a piece of washi tape that I mounted on a piece of paper. I also added white splatters using a paint pen.

I used the following products:

Washi tape:
#31 - Take Risks by Autour de Mwa
#24 - Power Words by Bipasha Bk

Stencil:
#127 - Bloomed Roses by Bipasha Bk

Stamps:
#443 - Scripted Circles by Bipasha Bk
#568 - ABC's by Bipasha Bk
#710 - Perched Among Petals by Bipasha Bk
#745 - Visiting The Flowers by Bipasha Bk
#748 - Add A Motto by Bipasha Bk

Sending Smiles

 Hello everyone,

Today's project is for AALL & Create! I grabbed back to an older stamp simply because I like it so much. I combined it with some stencilling and stamping and made a card:

Here's how:

First I painted the card white using acrylic paint and a brayer. I then stencilled part of this flower motif on the card using 2 shades of pink and 2 shades of green acrylic paint.

After toning it down with white paint, I stamped the chicken on the card and on a separate piece of watercolour card stock.

Next, I stamped the card randomly. I used similar colours to the flowers and leaves and added grey and black.

I added a piece of washi tape for the chicken to stand on.

Next I coloured the chicken using watercolour markers and coloured pencils.

The sentiment.

Here is the card put together. I like it !

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil:
#138 - Rosy Posy by Bipasha BK
