Happy birthday

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a birthday card. We all need them don't we. This will be my last project for AALL & Create for a while at least. I have been on DT's for more years than I can remember and want to have some time off to do other things. This doesn't mean that I will stop paper crafting..

Here's how:

First I cut out one of the cards from this die set #26 - Frayed Frames.

I used a blending tool and Distress Oxide Inks Spiced Marmalade and Kitsch Flamingo to colour the card. I then spritzed water on stencil #171 and put it wet side down on the card. I put a piece of kitchen paper on it to mop up the water and this is the result after drying. They water 'bleaches' the ink. Cool isn't it?

Next, stamping. I used set #963 with white embossing powder and then stamped the x and o stamp from set #494 with Versafine Clair in Morning Mist.

I couldn't resist to add some rub-ons. I used sets #5 and #10.

I then stamped the images I wanted to use. I was going to use the bows on her hair but they are slightly to big, especially on the right. It ends up in front of her eye. She wouldn't be able to see !
I ended up not using the bows. I coloured all the images with Copic Markers.

To finish the card I drew some lines as strings for the balloons and used a coloured pencil to add some shading under het feet. Lastly I added the sentiment and mounted the card on a white card base.

You light up the room

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a journal spread. It's a little steampunky!

Here's how I made these pages:

FIrst, I coloured the pages with Distress Oxide inks in Broken China, Speckled Egg and Antique Linen. I then used a blending tool with Ground Espresso and stencilled the coffee rings from #147 here and there. I also went around the pages with the same colour to frame the pages.
Next I smooshed some of the Ground Espresso on my craft mat and added water for splatters.

Nest I did some stamping with sets #443 and #457 with the same Broken China Distress Oxide and some Versafine Clair Nocturne.

Adding some pieces of washi tape. This is #106 Bolted Borders.

The image I used got stamped, coloured and cut out. I didn't bother with the text around it.

Adding some ephemera from set #65.

The sentiment from set #47,

Lastly I used a graphite pencil and a blending stump to add some shading around the images and the areas where the washi tape and the ephemera are. It all looks a little 'dirty' now.

I have used the following AALL & Create materials :

Washi tape #106 - Bolted Borders by Bipasha Bk
Ephemera #65 - Halo Haze by Bipasha Bk

Making others happy

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create post I have made a Memory Dex card with a stamp set from the Circus Collection. These are two of my favourite products by AALL & Create!

Here's how:

Starting off with cutting a card from Die set #50. I really like these Memory Dex cards.

Next I coloured the card with a blending tool and Distress Oxide inks Dusty Concord, Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron. Next I used stencil #171 with the same inks rubbed on it and spritzed with water, to print on the card.

As always a little stamping too, this time with Versafine Clair Morning Mist and Nocturne.

I also added some rub-ons from sets #8 and #12.

I wanted to use the little Pierrot, so I stamped him, then coloured him with Copic Markers. I tried to keep him very light.

Here is the whole card. I forgot I also used a few pieces of Washi tape #58, one piece for him to stand on and two other bits for more interest.

A new era of imagination

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a postcard. I cut it by hand this time.

Here is how I made this:

First I coloured the card stock with Distress Oxide inks - Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Kitsch Flamingo. I used a blending tool for this. I then rolled over some white acrylic paint with a brayer.
After this dried I added some stamping with set #568 and heat embossed it with white powder.

Next more stamping with set #457 and Distress Oxide in Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin.

Next I added some stencilling with stencil #110 and Black Soot Distress Oxide.

I chose this camera from set #1225 by Bipasha as my focal point. I stamped it with Copic Friendly ink.

And because the card wasn't busy enough :o) I added some rub-ons from set #10 too. Only a few tiny bits though...

Next washi tape. I used #96 Sugar Roll by Bipasha which is a layering washi. I just tore some pieces of and used it as an 'ordinary' washi tape ie. to ground things on and to add more interest.

Here is the card, all put together. These images easily used on a vintage card but I thought it would be nice with bright colours too. I think it worked !

I have used:

Washi tape #96 - Sugar Roll by Bipasha Bk
Stencil #110 - Digits Checked by Bipasha Bk
Rub-ons #10 - Red Red Wine by Autour De Mwa & Co

Stamps:
#568 - ABCs by Bipasha Bk
#457 - Background Voices by Bipasha Bk
#1225 - Lens & Lines by Bipasha Bk

Other materials:
Versafine Clair Nocturne
Memento Tuxedo Black (for Copic Colouring)
Copic Markers
Distress Oxide Inks - Black Soot, Mustard Seed, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumkin
White gel pen
White acrylic paint

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday and Happy Boxing Day. I hope you all had a nice Christmas! For my last post this year I have made a Memory Dex card. It features Miss Dee in her party frock, ready for the New Year's Eve party!

I am stepping down from the VLS team at the end of the year, at least for a little while....

I cut the card out of a gelli print I made with a star stencil and some acrylic paint. The stars were white after printing so I coloured them with paint markers.
I added a tiny bit of stamping and then printed Miss Dee. This Miss Dee came out sometime this year and she is officially called Barb-Dee.
I coloured her with my Copics and decided to pair her with a stamped sentiment of one of the Miss Dee stamps by AALL & Create #761 - Bobby Dee. The happy came from a set with just sentiments #666 - Everyday Sentiments and the 2025 came from #1247 - Bits of Alpha.

Well, I am out for my New Year's Eve Party and will say Happy New Year to all of you ! Thanks for following me !

You'll find Barb-Dee HERE
