Keep calm..

Hello everyone,

Welcome to today's Katzelkraft project. I seem to be addicted to the combination of watercolours and coloured pencils these days. I have used them again today:

This is almost a one layer card. I just glued the clouds on. First I did all the stamping on watercolour paper. I then watercoloured everything and when it was dry I added some coloured pencil accents and shadows. Lastly I drew the clouds, cut them out and glued them on the card.
I have used the following stamp sets:

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

and happy Thursday to you ! For today I have two little projects with Vera Lane Studio Images to show you; I have used collage sheets for both and just made the backgrounds. So easy when you don't have an awful lot of time.

This is from the this week released "back to back" collage sheet. She is already available in the uncoloured version. I just made the background using acrylic paint and a brayer starting with the yellow. I then took a stencil, rubbed a Distress Oxide Ink pad over it, spritzed it with water and used it to print on the page. I like this effect. I then used a white pen to outline some of the flowers. Next I used a pink Distress Oxide and a brayer and added it along the edges mainly. I then took most of it off again with a baby wipe. Lastly I added some stencilling with black paint and doodled a line around the pages. The pages were then ready for the image and the sentiment.

You will find the collage sheet 'Back to back' HERE
There is also a 'Back to Back' sentiment sheet HERE

The second project is a tag:

To a tag cut out of watercolour paper I added Distress Oxide inks with the dunking method, drying in between the colours. I then added stamping in the same colours. These little guys are from the "top of my head' collage sheet and these are also already available in an uncoloured version. I then added some shading around them with a coloured pencil and found this great sticker that really applied to me that day ! lol

You will find the "Top of my head" collage sheet HERE.

XO XO XO

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create Guest Design Team post I have made a 6 x 6 journal page. I have used two of the new stamp sets for this. Isn't the new release fabulous ?

How cute is he? lol

Here's how I made it :

I painted my piece of paper with a light lime/yellow colour and when it was dry I went over it with a turquoise. I used a brayer for this. Next I placed the stencil on the top and wiped away the top layer of paint through it. I love this effect.

Next I toned it down with white paint, again using a brayer.

I then used this new stamp set by Aida Domisiewicz and randomly stamped the background and I used one of the stamps to stamp on the blank edge of book paper.. I am going to use these as clouds.

Next I stamped my little monster and decided where I wanted him and the clouds. I also added some more stamping in the background. I also stamped one of the sentiments but in the end I didn't' use this one. I also added a black line around the paper.

Next I coloured the monster and the sentiment using my Copic markers.

here he is, I then cut him out.

In the end I decided to go for the XO XO XO sentiment and stamped the Roaaar! in orange ink along the edges for a pop of colour. I also decided the monster didn't stand out enough so I die cut a circle out of vellum and placed it on a roughly torn circle of book text. I added some washi tape and placed the monster on top. Much better... Lastly I coloured a new sentiment, matted it on black card stock and adhered it.

I have used :

Stamp set #211 - Count on you by Aida Domisiewicz
Stamp set #216 - Monsterous by Olga Heldwein
Stencil #29 by Autour de Maw

Curious

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blogpost for Katzelkraft. For today I have made a postcard.

I have used one of the Meerkats and the 'Champ de blé' in the background. The grass was stamped more than once with Distress Oxides that I lightly sprayed with water. Of course I stamped the meerkat first and masked him. I coloured him with watercolours. A little word sticker finished it off.

This week at Vera Lane Studio.

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday to you all. For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a couple of postcards. It's so funny how I have made both projects with the same colours without realising.

This card is made with a gel print. I coloured the cat from the newly released 'Love of a cat' set and cut her out. I placed here together with a sun from the 'Sunshine' collage sheet and a sentiment from the 'Farm Animals 2' on the card.

You'll find 'Love of a cat' HERE
You'll find 'Sunshine' HERE
You'll find 'Farm Animals 2' HERE

This postcard is made with a piece of paper that I dunked into Distress Oxide inks that were left over on my works space. The images are from the 'Fun collage sheet' that came out this week as well. I made the sentiment with my computer using the 'Babypowder' font.

Make art not war

Hello everyone,

welcome to the my blog where today I have an art journal page for VivaLasVegaStamps! to share.

I don't think this is my best work, I am just not very inspired at the moment but these things happen and usually they pass ! Anyway here's how I did it :

First I painted the pages roughly with pink, yellow and orange acrylic paints by Amsterdam.

I then knocked it back by brayering white paint over the top.

I then stencilled over the top with the same three colours of paint.

Again knocking it back with white.

I then added some stamping...

...some more stencilling with white paint, doodling and splatters with Posca paint pens also in yellow, pink, orange and white.

I stamped the man on book pages and cut him out, the sentiment was also stamped on book paper but on the unprinted edge. I adhered everything to the page and added some washi tape here and there. As an afterthought I added some more black stamping with the 'x's'.

I have used the following stamps :

Other materials;

Amsterdam paints :
Azo Orange - Nickel Titan Yellow - Quinacridone Rose - Titanium White

Posca Paint pens:

Orange, yellow, pink and white

Bookpaper
Washitape
Black fineliner
Stencil

Good time

Hello everyone,

Welcome to today's blogpost for Katzelkraft. I have made a postcard:

The base is a gel print on which I did some background stamping and embossing. The Jazz musician was stamped on book paper, cut out and adhered. I stamped the sentiment on the unprinted edge of the same book paper and cut it out. I then also glued this to the card. A doodle line along the edges finished it off.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

and Happy Thursday !

For today's Vera Lane Studio DT post I have made a trio of ATC's,  a postcard and an Art Journal page. The ATC's have been made with this week's release called 'Top of my Head'. Aren't they fun?

I had fun making these. I printed and coloured them and cut them out. I spend quite some time to find words that would go with them and used an old novel for this. I think it turned out quite well. The background are pieces of gel printed paper.

You'll find 'Top of my head' HERE

For the postcard I used the girl facing forward from last week's release 'Back to Back'. I added a flower to her hair and the background is made out of watercolour paper that was coloured with Distress Oxide Inks. I stencilled the flower over the top with white acrylic paint. I also added some stamping.

You'll find the 'Back to back' digi's HERE

And last but not least:

I made a quick gel print and added some stamping. I coloured the houses first so I just used similar colours in the print. I added some Washi, placed the houses on top and added one of the sentiments of the set.

You'll find 'Amsterdam' HERE

Journal

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have a mini book to share. I love making mini books and this time it is a Zine book. Not my idea, it has been done many times and I got the idea from the internet.

Here's how, scroll all the way down for the VIDEO

I folded and glued the book, then added two layers of gesso on each page. I then added acrylic paint and stencilled over the top.

I stamped the flower on the front using a stamping tool.

I heat embossed the flower and coloured it with watercolour markers. Next I stamped the text randomly.

I added stencilling on the inside, this time with Distress Oxide ink and water, using the stencil as a stamp.

I also added lines to write on and numbers on the pages.

And here it is..

VIDEO:

I have used the following stamps:
#67 - Vintage Assorted
#107 - Date it
#146 - Kings and Queens
#183 - Bouquet Small
Stencil: #45

Hello everyone,

For today's Katzelkraft post I have made a card.

I started with stamping the flowers and white embossing them. I used watercolour paper. I then dunked the paper into Distress Oxide Inks that I smooshed on my workspace. When dry I added some stamping and doodling. I stamped the dog and the sentiment and coloured the dog. I used Copic Markers and pencils. I glued the sentiment on a piece of fabric and then onto the card panel. I placed the dog on the top.

I used the following stamps:
