Make art not war

Hello everyone,

welcome to the my blog where today I have an art journal page for VivaLasVegaStamps! to share.

I don't think this is my best work, I am just not very inspired at the moment but these things happen and usually they pass ! Anyway here's how I did it :

First I painted the pages roughly with pink, yellow and orange acrylic paints by Amsterdam.

I then knocked it back by brayering white paint over the top.

I then stencilled over the top with the same three colours of paint.

Again knocking it back with white.

I then added some stamping...

...some more stencilling with white paint, doodling and splatters with Posca paint pens also in yellow, pink, orange and white.

I stamped the man on book pages and cut him out, the sentiment was also stamped on book paper but on the unprinted edge. I adhered everything to the page and added some washi tape here and there. As an afterthought I added some more black stamping with the 'x's'.

I have used the following stamps :

Other materials;

Amsterdam paints :
Azo Orange - Nickel Titan Yellow - Quinacridone Rose - Titanium White

Posca Paint pens:

Orange, yellow, pink and white

Bookpaper
Washitape
Black fineliner
Stencil

On cloud 9

Hello everyone,

and happy Thursday ! Today's post for Vera Lane Studio consists of an ATC with the new release from this week called "Cloud 9" and an art journal spread with "Princess".  Both these sets come with already coloured images and blank ones. I used a ready coloured Cloud 9 girl for my ATC and the Princess was coloured by me with Copic Markers.

The background was made with Distress Oxide Inks.

You'll find Cloud 9 HERE

This AJ spread was made in my gelli printed book. I added stencilling and doodling. Princess is standing on a piece of washi tape.

Fa, La, La, La, La

Hello everyone,

and happy Friday to you all !

For Vera Lane Studio I have made a postcard with one of the latests releases: The Carolers.

Aren't they cute !
I found this background paper in my stash. It is one of those free samples you get in the Stampington magazines and I thought is was great !
The girls were sizes and printed and coloured with Copic Markers, cut out and adhered. I then added the sentiment which is from the same set. A bit of doodling and voila !

I have used this set :

And so the adventure begins..

Hello everyone,

I have made a tag for my DT post for Katzelkraft today !

I painted the tag with my fingers using PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylics. Next I stamped the background and the cat and rat too. I used similar colours to the background and black for the animals.
I then stamped the cat and the rat on separate paper and coloured them with Copic Markers. They were cut out and adhered to the tag on top of where I stamped them before. This way you don't have to cut out the hairs and whiskers. I added some shading under the rat and drew a line around the tag. Lastly I added a Small Talk sticker from Tim Holtz.

I have used the following stamp(sets)

KTZ179 Les rats de villes

September

Hi everyone,

I have another instalment  for the 100 Proof Press 2017 calendar and I am quickly running out of pages as the year is flying by !
Here is what I came up with for September :

She looks like I feel about Summer almost being over... I do NOT like winter.
So I took one of my gelli printed papers and added some background stamping and some doodling around the edges.
I stamped her on the page and on some book paper, cut her out and coloured in her face a little. I then adhered her to herself on the page. I did make her dress a little longer to make the image bigger. It fits the page a bit better like this.
The saying was found on internet and typed and adhered. I will be back next month with another page.

I have used the following stamps:
