Too glam to give a damn!

 Hello everyone,

It's Tuesday again and that means another project for AALL & Create from me. I love Miss Dee as you know so I used the, what to me is, the original Miss Dee and by far my favourite!

I think she is totally fabulous !

Here is how I made this card:

I used this stencil to make the background. I used the biggest circle in the stencil. To make sure I only used that circle I taped it off with masking tape. I then just used a blending tool and Distress Inks to make the circles on the paper, making sure to overlap them here and there. I used Mustard Sees, Salty Ocean and Picked Raspberry inks.

Next I stamped the background using the same inks to get a tone on tone effect and some black. I then toned it down with white paint and a brayer, see next photo.

I added some black ink around the edges of the paper and placed some washi tape for her to stand on and in the top right corner for balance.

I then stamped Miss Dee on my project and on a piece of card. I also stamped the sentiment I wanted to use.

And here she is in all her glory!

I have used :
Stencil:
#87 - Totally Dotty by Autour de Mwa

Stamps:
#704 - Miss Dee by Janet Klein
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#523 - Flower Pops by Janet Klein

Washi tape:
#17 - Mix & Match by Janet Klein

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's project for Vera Lane Studio I have made a 6" x 6" journal page. I have used and older image from the set 'Wanderlust'.

First I coloured the girl with my Copic Markers and cut her out. I then made the background using an AALL & Create stencil and alcohol inks on the gelli plate. When it was done I thought it was so nice that I didn't really want to add anything to it. So I left it as it was. I cut a circle from vellum with a die to make her stand out a little more, added a stamp and a clippings sticker.
Lastly I added the sentiment and used a marker to add some shading here and there.

You'll find this fabulous travelling girl HERE

Be unique

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have done another art journal page. This time there is a VIDEO about how I made the background. I didn't film the colouring of the images because it makes the video so long..

I do have some photos too:

First I stamped the images I wanted to use as focals.

As soon as I colour the flowers this bright orange I knew I wanted the background to be turquoise blue.

Started with texture paste...

Then washi tape.

I forgot to take more photos after this, BUT there is a video where you can see me make this background, colour and all ! lol

Sweet Sounds

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create GDT post I have made an art journal page. I have used one of Bipasha's fabulous music inspired stamps for this.

Here's how:

I made a gelli print with this stencil and 2 shades of yellow paint. I also put the stencil back on and added a little white paint to the stars.

I stamped one of the flower stamps of this set along the edges with VersaMark ink and heat embossing them with Ochre coloured embossing powder by WOW.

Next I stamped the image I wanted to use for my focal point and coloured it with Copic Markers and a touch of pencils here and there.

I also stamped the image on my page so I had all the little details that are impossible to cut out.

Next I added some stamping and splatters. I used blue because of the blue flowers on the focal image.

I then cut out the image and glued it over the top and added the sentiment and some more blue paint splatters.

I have used:
Stencil #126 - Lotza Stars by Autour de Mwa
Stamps:
#682 - Call The Tune by Bipasha Bk
#457 - Background Voices by Bipasha Bk
#625 - Vine by Tracy Evans

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a mini journal page with Miss Dee. I love Miss Dee and have done for years even before she was popular and lurking in the depths of Vera Lane Studio! lol

I printed Miss Dee, the shoe boxes and the sentiment and coloured them. I then made the background by smooshing Distress Oxide Inks over AALL & Create's heart stencil, spritzed it with water and then printed it onto the page. This is a mini Moleskine journal that has watercolour paper.
After it was dry I rolled some white paint over it and added a few pieces of designer paper. I then added Miss Dee, the shoe boxes and the sentiment. Lastly I added shading under the words and the images.

You'll find Shoe lover Dee HERE.

Sizzling hot

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog ! For today's AALL & Create project I have made a postcard with one of the fabulous Miss Dee stamps.

Here's how:

First I stamped Cougar Dee and coloured her with Copics and a touch of pencil here and there.

Next I made the background with Distress Oxide inks and this stencil.

Next I stamped the background; it is very subtle..

I then put some washi tape on the background, at the bottom for her to stand on.

I decided then it needed some black stamping so I used the sentiment stamp and stamped that randomly around the edges. I also went around the card with the black ink pad.

I then glued Miss Dee down and added the sentiment.

I have used the following AALL & Create materials:

Stencil:
#134 - Heapza Hearts by Autour de Mwa
Stamps:
#60 - Lacy Graffiti by Olga Heldwein
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#703 - Cougar Dee by Janet Klein
Washi tape:
#23 - Vivre by Janet Klein
#27 - Joyful Words by Autour de Mwa
