 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday! For the last post of March for Vera Lane Studio I have made a journal page that is a little personal. I am going on a cruise soon and Janet kindly drew a ship and accessories for me! Thank you Janet. Anyway, I made this of it:

I had fun making this. The background is a very simple gel print, I could actually just done that with a brush and some paint... lol 

I printed the images, then coloured them and cut them out. I used Copic Markers for colouring. 

I added some waves in the 'sea' and then arranged the images on the page. I didn't use any stamps or stencils this time.

 Hello everyone, 

For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard with the newly released set called 'Brazil'. 

The background was made with pieces of coloured paper to which I added ink, splattering and stamping. It is a representation of a Brazilian flag. It was cut out with AALL & Create die #26. I glued all the pieces on top of each other and then matted it on a piece of white card stock. 

The images were printed, coloured with Copic Markers and cut out. I added them to the card and that was that!

 Hello everyone, 

Happy Thursday! For today's VLS post I have made a journal spread with Miss Dee's Dogs.

First I printed and coloured Miss Dee and then cut her out. I used Copic Markers to colour her. The background was made with Distress Oxide ink which I smooshed on one of Janet's stencils and then printed in my book. I did each page separately. I added some stamping and washi tape for a bit more interest and then placed the image and the sentiment on the pages.

Happy Thursday! Today I have made a tag with the newly release set "Blueberry". 

I printed her, then coloured her with Copic Markers and cut her out. I created a background with Distress Oxide inks and added some stamping and washi tape. 

I then adhered the girl with the sentiment on the tag.

I printed and coloured Miss Dee and the other images, then cut them out. 

The background was made with acrylic paint and a brayer. I added some stamping and washitape before placing the images and the sentiment on the pages.

Happy Thursday! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a trio of ATC's. 

I have used the newly released 'The Buzz'; I printed them and coloured them with Copic Markers. I then cut them out.  I then cut some ATC's from watercolour paper and used Distress Oxide inks to make the backgrounds. I used the smoosh, spritz and dunk method. I then added some stamping and added the images and the sentiment.

Happy Thursday! For today's project for Vera Lane Studio I have made a postcard with the set 'February's heart'. She is so cute! 

I printed the images and coloured them with Copic Markers; I then cut them out. For the background I smooshed Distress Oxide ink on my craft sheet, spritzed with water and dunked my card into it. I used Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmelade. I added some stencilling and stamping and washi tape. All by Janet for AALL & Create. I then placed the images on the washi tape and added the sentiment from the set.

 Hello everyone, 

Happy Thursday! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made another postcard. I love the size of postcards, not too small, not too big ! 

I have used the this week released digital image called 'Airén'. Airén is the name of a Spanish white wine but I gave her a glass of red ! 

The background was made with Distress Oxide and white paint and a stencil. I stamped here and there with red ink and then placed the girl with her glass of red on a piece of washitape. She was coloured with Copic Markers.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone, 

Happy Thursday and welcome to February; hopefully it won't be as long as January!! 

For today's post for Vera Lane Studio I have made a journal page in my 8 x 8 Dylusions Journal.

I printed and coloured the images and cut them out. I used Copic Markers for the colouring. The background was made with Distress Oxide inks and a blending tool. I put some washitape around the page to create a border and then just blended the colours together. I used Salvaged Patina, Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmelade. I then put a stencil on top that I spritzed with water, it will bleach out where the stencil sits on the paper. I then added some stamping. Next I used a brayer and white paint to tone it down, I also used the same stencil again and just stencilled with white paint in a few places. 

I place a small piece of washi tape for the little girl to stand on and then glued the images and the sentiment on the page. I black line around it finished it off.

Happy birthday

 Hello everyone, 

For today's AALL & Create Guest DT post I have made a 6 x 6 card (or journal page). 

This is going to be my last post for at least 6 months as I have decided I want to reduce my workload and concentrate on some other things besides paper crafting. I might be back later in the year, I might not be.... 

Here's how:

I coloured this piece of paper with Distress Oxide ink (Salty Ocean) and then used the stencil over the top with white acrylic paint. 

I did some background stamping...

The focal point ! I totally love Miss Dee ! I coloured her with Copic Markers.

Instead of a sentiment I decided to use washi tape saying Happy Birthday. It also serves as a place for Miss Dee to stand. 

I placed her in the middle which I normally don't do but this time I wanted to surround her with balloons. 

The balloons came from this ephemera pack. 

Here she is enjoying her birthday !

 Hello everyone, 

for this week's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a postcard with the newly released 'Celeste'. She is looking at the stars with her cute dog. 

I made this card by colouring it with Distress Oxide ink and Distress Ink. I swiped the ink pads over the paper until I was happy. I then added some white paint with a brayer and glued a piece of patterned paper over the bottom. I then printed and coloured the images, cut them out and placed them on the card together with the sentiment.

After the rain

 Hi everyone, 

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a journal page with products by Bipasha Bk. 

Here's how:

This fab washi tape by Bipasha is perfect for making your own ephemera. I just stick it on tissue paper and cut around it. 

I made a stencil print with this stencil and Distress Oxide ink. 

Next I stamped the background with the same pink in and some yellow and black. 

The focal image was then stamped, coloured and cut out. I used a combination of watercolours and pencils. 

I also stamped it onto the page. I now can glue the mushrooms over the top.

Mushrooms in place, I then added pieces of my 'ephemera'. 

I used some of Tim Holtz' clippings stickers for the sentiment. Lastly I matted the page on black card stock.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone, 

For this week's Vera Lane Studio I have made a postcard with mini-me. This is a personalised image that Janet can draw on request. She'll also include any personality traits that you have. My mini-me is holding Copic Markers but for today I decided to tuck a dog under the arm because it went better with the sentiment I chose. 

I used a background from my stash which was made with a gelli print. I used acrylic paints and a stencil by Janet for AALL & Create called 'Olives & Ivy' (#172).

I stamped the background randomly with stamps by Janet and placed some washi tape for me to stand on. I then printed and coloured the image; I used Copic Markers. I printed one of the dogs of Miss Dee's dogs to tuck under my arm. The sentiment is from AALL & Create stamp set #771 called Dee Quips. 

Miss Dee and me have a lot in common!!!

Plant a garden, plant happiness

 Hello everyone, 

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a set of three ATC's made with products by Tracy Evans for AALL & Create. 

Here's how:

I dunked the cards in Distress Oxide inks and when dry added some stenciling.

Next, stamping. Not too much.

The image and sentiment I stamped to use. 

I decided to keep the flowers light. I added yellow, white and orange dots to the hearts as they are almost black when stamped. I used Posca Paint pens for this. The petals are a very pale blue to suggest that the flowers are white. 

Added a few pieces of washi tape. 

Lastly I matted the cards on black card stock.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For this week's project for Vera Lane Studio I have made a page in one of my small journals. It measures approx. 12 x 12 cm. It is by Talens and it's called a sketch book. I find the quality not very good so I wouldn't recommend it for Mixed Media as the paper tends to warp. Probably perfectly fine for the intended use of sketching.. 

I used a mop up page from my gelli plate for the background. I love all those crusty bits that come off when you take that final print. 

Miss Sauvignon Blanc was printed, coloured and cut out. I coloured her with Copic Markers. 

I added a little stamping to the background with similar colours of ink and used Janet's background sets #338 and #339 for AALL & Create for this. 

I added a few pieces of washi tape (also AALL & Create by Janet #68) and placed her on it. The sentiment is from the same set.
