Winter sweater

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! Today I have made a tag with Vera Lane's latest release called 'Wintery things'. It comes with the sweet girl that I have used and a dog and a sentiment.

I used a left over piece of a gelli print from my stash. It was made with an AALL & Create stencil. I then printed and coloured the little girl. I used Copics for colouring. Next I cut her and the sentiment out. I only used two words of the sentiment.
Next I cut the fishtail in the print and added some stamping and washi tape. I placed the girl on the tag and added the sentiment.

You'll find this cutie HERE

Amongst the undergrowth

 Hi everyone,

It's Tuesday, so that means I have another GDT project for AALL & Create. This week I have made a journal page.

Here's how I made this page:

To start I printed this stencil on a 6 x 6 piece of watercolour paper. I smooshed Distress Oxide inks on the stencil and spritzed with water. I then printed it on the paper.

After I toned it down a little with white paint and a brayer, I stamped it randomly with the same colours ink but this time I used Versafine Clair ink.

A bit more stamping, this time in black.

I added some washi tape. I also cut out some of the little flowers ...

Next I stamped the flower and the badger straight on the page with Versafine Clair inks and the badger another time on a separate piece of card stock.

I added some shading to the badger on the separate paper and cut him out. I also added some extra colour to the flower with coloured pencils and then went around the outline with a black marker.
Lastly I added the sentiment that comes with the badger.

I used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil:
#145 - Jumbo ABC's by Bipasha Bk

Stamps:
#563 - Follow your own path by Tracy Evans
#531 - Texture Florals by Tracy Evans
#558 - Clocks & Flowers by Tracy Evans

Washi:
#17 - Mix & Match by Janet Klein
#22 - Flowerdancing by Janet Klein

Kaboom

 Hello everyone,

Today I have a YouTube video to share. I am making an art journal page.

I made this page in a square 8 x 8 Dylusions journal. The girl is a collage image from a book called 'Extraordinary Things to cut out and collage' by Maria Rivans. I really like this book  because sometimes I don't fancy colouring in a stamped image so this is easy.
The background was made with Distress Oxide Inks and a 6 x 6 gelli plate. This gives a nice border all around. I used a red rubber stamp for the grey words the background; it was given to me and I have no idea what brand it is but I really like it. The stars etc. came from a very old clear stamp set by 'Walzing Mouse' called 'Kaboom'. I made up the sentiment with clippings stickers.

Anyway if you want to watch the video it is HERE on my YouTube Channel.

or you can click on the picture below and go that way !

I believe

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a postcard I have made for VivaLasVegaStamps! I love rainbow colours so today I went for those. I never tire of them.

Here's how I made it:

First I coloured the background by dunking it in ink smooshed mixed with a spray of water on my craft sheet. I dried it in between colours.

Next I added some stencilling with white acrylic paint and using the same paint and a brayer I added some white here and there on the card.

Next I stamped the background using the same inks and a black Versafine.

I then stamped the lady on the card and on a piece of blank book paper. I also stamped the sentiment. With a piece of cut and dry foam I inked the edged of the card using Versafine.

I used some washitape to ground her and added a little bit in the right top corner to balance the card.
Lastly I added the lady and the sentiment.

I have used the following stamps:

Other materials:
MM card stock
Distress Oxide inks
Versafine Clair Ink
White acrylic paint (Amsterdam)
AALL & Create Washi tape
book paper

Drink coffee and raise chickens

 Hi everyone,

For today's AALL & Create GDT post I have made a postcard. I love watercouloring but usually grab my Copics when I have to colour something. This time I thought I would take a little time and use my watercolours. I enjoyed it very much.

Here's how I made it:

First I stamped this cute chick image on a postcard size piece of watercolour paper.

I then painted the chicks with three shades of yellow. I used an orangy yellow for the feet and beaks.

I used a turquoise wash around the chicks to make them stand out more.

Next I added some stencilling using Distress Oxide ink in Broken China.

I then stamped parts of this stamp over the stencilling and brayered some white paint over it to tone it all down a little.

Because it is a postcard I wanted to add a postage stamp and I found this one in my stash. It has a chick on it.. so fun! I used one of Abs' wisecracks circle stamps to 'stamp' the postage stamp. I also used it in two different places on the card for balance.

Lastly I added yellow paint splatters and added some grey watercolour around the edges of the card to frame it.

I used the following materials:

Stencil : #143 - Creatively Crossed by Autour de Mwa
Stamps:
#554 - Lined Cross by Bipasha Bk
#489 - Wisecracks by Autour de Mwa
#559 - Feathered friends by Bipasha Bk

Leave a little sparkle..

 Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing an art journal spread that I have made for Country View Challenges' January challenge with the theme 'Shine and sparkle new year',  set by the lovely Jo. I used very sprarkly embossing powder today and I think it came out lovely. It is just that my craft room (and the rest of the house) is covered in glittery bits... lol

We would love you to play along with us but before you do, please read the RULES on the Country View Challenges blog.

If you'd like to see how I made this then please hop over to my YOUTUBE channel or click on the picture below:

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard.

After messing about with different background I resorted to using designer paper. This is by Stamperia. I added some white paint and pink stamping along the edges mainly. I printed this cute little girl and coloured her and cut her out. I used Copic Markers to colour her. The sentiments are Tim Holtz Clippings stickers.

This little girl is from the 'Cookie Swap' set and you'll find it HERE.

Cluck, cluck..

 Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing an AJ page I made for AALL & Create. I really like this chicken in his boots, he is so quirky!

and here's how:

I stamped and coloured the chicken, I used watercolour markers and coloured pencils. I then cut him out without all the bits around him.

Next I did a gelli print with this stencil. It came out grungy because my gelli plate is really dirty. But I like it. I usually brayer over white paint anyway so any bits I don't like will disappear!

Next I stamped the background. I wanted some red as an accent colour and after I stamped I cut out the red crossed from ......

....this washi tape and stuck them inside the open cross stamps.

I then added some lines around the page and stamped the chicken straight on my page. I am going to glue the cut out one over the top so all the missing bits are back!

And here it is all finished. I used a part of another stamp of the same set as a sentiment.

I have used the following materials:

Stencil #145 - Jumbo ABC's by Bipasha Bk
Stamps:
#559 - Feathered friends by Bipasha Bk
#489 - Wisecracks by Autour de Mwa

Washi tape: #4 - Encrypt by Autour de Mwa

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a postcard that I made for AALL & Create.

Here's how I made it:

I made a gelli print with this stencil. You can just see some circles in the print which were left over from the last print I made. I used Bug Hotel then.

Next stamping. I just use any ink that is the right colour. In this case I used Archival inks for the colours and Versafine Clair for the black stamping.

Next I added more stamping, this time using Distress Oxide ink.

A piece of washi tape for the main image to stand on.

The focal image and the sentiment.

How cute is she??

I used the following materials:

Stencil #139 - Snow Pines by Janet Klein
Washi tape Verde que te queiro verde

Stamps:
#616 - Wicked witch by Janet Klein
