This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday !

Today's Vera Lane Studio Project is a postcard and a tag.

This cutie is from a set that was released this week and it is called "Dailies". I coloured her with Copics and cut her out. The background is a gelli print. The circles have been created with a coaster from Ikea. I added some stamping and washi tape, both by AALL & Create and placed her on the card. Lastly I added two words from the set and some doodle lines.

You'll find her and her friends HERE

This tag was made with ready coloured images from the Halloween collage sheet which is still available on request. The background is a gelli print on which I added a little stamping, a black line all around and some washi tape to ground the image.

Thank you for stopping by today !

Mischief

 Hello everyone,

For today's project for AALL & Create I have made a Halloween themed postcard. I used a brand-new stamp for the background and some old ones of the focal points.

Here's how:

I started with a piece of 6" x 4" card stock. I sprayed some Distress Oxide Sprays on my craft sheet together with some water and dipped my card into it, drying it in between colours.
Next I toned it down with white paint and a brayer.

Next I stamped this spiderweb with bats and heat embossed it with clear powder. This stamp is brand new by Bipasha.

I chose these little Quirks by Olga because I love them. They come out once a year! I coloured them with Copic Markers and added some white pen details to some of their clothes. I then cut them out.

I shuffled them about for a while but then glued them down where I thought they would look the cutest.

I added some Halloween Clippings stickers and shading underneath  their feet to finish off the card.

I have used the following stamps:

#572 - Spooky Sky by Bipasha Bk
#104 - Quirks Mini by Olga Heldwein
#73 - Quirks by Olga Heldwein

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio projects I have made a card and a postcard.

This cute little girl is from the set "Cookie Swap" that came out this week. I gave her a cookie to carry! I coloured her and cut her out. I also printed, coloured and cut out some cookies. I then made a gelli print with one of Janet's stencils for AALL & Create. I placed her on the card on top of some washi tape.

You'll find her and her cookies HERE

This is my favourite make this week ! I love him, his name is Tool. He was printed, coloured and cut out. I made the background by mopping up some green paints on my craft sheet that hadn't quite dried. I added white paint with my brayer and then stencilled the hearts on it using an AALL & Create stencil. I added some stamping with one of Janet's stamp sets by AALL & Create and put some washi tape across the card. I then placed Tool on it. The sentiment is from the same set called Onion and Tool and you'll find it

Thank you for stopping by today !

Tis near Halloween

  Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a Halloween themed postcard with a little humour for VivaLasVegaStamps!

Here is how I made it:

First I stamped and coloured the images I planned to use.

I then heat embossed this start chart with clear embossing powder. I added Distress Oxide Inks over the top and because of the embossing powder the stamped image stays white. I used a blending tool to add the inks.

Next I added some blood ! (lol)

I also added some random background stamping. I used the same inks and a Versafine Clair black ink.

After adding some washi tape I placed the images on the top to ground them. The sentiments are Tim Holtz Halloween Clippings stickers and part of a stamp.

I used the following stamps:

Other materials:
Distress Oxide inks:
Crushed Olive
Fossilized Amber
Wild Honey
Fired Brick
Vintage photo

other inks:
VersaFine Clair - Nocturne
Archival ink - Saffron and Potting Soil

WOW Clear embossing powder
Tim Holtz Halloween Clipping stickers
AALL & Create washi tape

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Today is a new day

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a journal spread that I made for AALL & Create.

And here is how:

I put this stencil on my small gelli plate and dabbed paint through the holes. I started with pink at the top then orange, yellow and finally green.

I then took the stencil off and let it dry.

When it was dry I put a layer of light yellow and white paint over the top and printed the plate in my journal.

I did this twice, turning the plate the other way on the second plate.

Of course I thought is was too bright so I toned it down with white paint and a brayer.

Next I added some stamping with pink and  black ink...

...and with all the same colours that were on the page. This gives a nice visual texture.

Next, washi tape. For me the page was now finished and ready for the focal image.

I used a blending tool and Distress Oxide ink to colour a piece of paper. I then stamped the big flower on it and on a separate piece of paper I stamped the sentiment.

After I cut the flower out I added some shading with pencils. I glued it down on the page, cutting it into two pieces so the book closed comfortably. I also added the sentiment on the other page.

I have used the following materials:

Stencil #132 - Flagstone Figures by Autour de Mwa

Stamps:
#531 - Textured Florals by Tracy Evans
#541 - Indulge in Daisies by Tracy Evans
#543 - Reckoner Digits by Tracy Evans

Washi:
#22 - Flowerdancing by Janet Klein
#2 - Inspire by Autour de Mwa

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday! For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a card and an ATC.

This clean and simple card was made with the set "Starlight" that came out this week. I started with washi tape and some stencilled card to make a base for her to stand on. She was printed, coloured and cut out. I adhered her over the coloured card. I added the sentiment from the same set.

You'll find this set HERE

This ATC was made with a gelli printed piece of paper. I added stamping and doodling and a piece of washi tape for him to stand on. He was printed, coloured and cut out. I adhered him onto the card. He is from a set called Messengers and you will find it HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Wonderland

 Hello everyone,

It is Tuesday again so I have another project for AALL & Create and this time it is mini book made with Twinchies.

I have a VIDEO too and you'll find the link below.

Here are a few photos of how it came together.

I stamped out the images I wanted to use first. I did this with Memento ink because I wanted to colour them with Copic Markers.
I then cut out a twinchie (2.5" x 2.5" piece of paper) and laid it over the images to determine what part to use. I didn't want to waste my time by colouring bits I didn't need. Sorry no pic of that.

So here are the images, coloured and cut out and trimmed to the size I wanted them to be.

Next I made this background, the base colours were done with a gelli plate and I then used this stencil to add more interest with the same paints and some white. Of course I also toned it down with my white paint and a brayer.

Here you see the Twinchies all ready to be made into a book.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday! For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a postcard and a tag.

This sweetie was released this week in a set called Hope. I got a background from my stash and added stencilling and stamping. I inked the edges and stuck on some washi tape for her to sit on. She was printed, coloured and cut out. I glued her onto the card and that was it.
You'll find her HERE.

This tag was made with a piece of paper from my stash. I added some washi tape and doodling and then cut out some of the images of the Halloween Collage sheet and glued them over the washi tape.
This collage sheet is still available on request.

Artist

  Hello everyone,

For today's VivaLasVegaStamps! project I have made a journal page and I have used another Banksy inspired stamp for the focal image. I love them!

The background for this page was a mop up page from the gelli plate to which I added some stamping,  doodling and splattering.
I coloured the Banksy Wall Singer using watercolours this time and cut her out. As a sentiment I used some Clippings Stickers by Tim Holtz.

I have used the following stamps:

For stamping I used Archival Inks: Jet Black, Leaf Green, Aquamarine and Magenta Hue.

Thank you so much for stopping by today !
