Don't give up

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday! For today's Vera Lane Studio Project I have made a mini journal page. I have used the newly released 'Marathoners' and combined it with one of Janet's stamp sets from AALL & Create.

I started this postcard with a piece of watercolour paper and stamped one of the houses of stamp set #283 called Homebody repeatedly for the background. I then used a thin wash of watercolour to give them some colour. I added a little shading with pencils.
I then printed and coloured the girl runner and the finish board with Copic Markers  and cut them out. I adhered them on the card, adding some shading with a black pencil underneath both. A sentiment from the set finished it off.
Lastly I glued it onto a piece of black card stock to frame it.

You'll find the Marathoners HERE

Born to explore

 Hello everyone,

It is Tuesday so that means another project for AALL & Create. This week I have made a card. I wanted it to look a little vintage so I used muted colours but I don't know whether I succeeded in making it look vintage or if it is just well muted... lol..

Here's how I made it:

This stencil was perfect for what I wanted to make. I put it onto a piece of watercolour card using Graphite paste. It dries black with little glittery specs in it.

After I added colour with watercolours and pigment powders and it had dried I added some stamping with this large background stamp by Abs.

Next I stamped this girl and watercolored her.

Here's a close up.

The sentiment came from this set but I made one out of the two saying: born to explore.

Here it is put all together.

I have used:
Stencil # 8 by Bipasha Bk
Stamps:
#58 - Scribble It by Autour de Mwa
#653 - Camping by Janet Klein
#654 - Don't feed the bears by Janet Klein

Friends..

 Hello everyone,

and Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a tag with the newly released set called 'Ground Music'.

I used a gelli print from my stash and added white paint & stencilling with the same-ish colours of Distress Oxide ink. I really like this tone on tone effect. I added some stamping and washi tape and printed this lovely girl. I coloured her and cut her out. I then put her onto the tag with a sentiment from the same set.

You'll find this gorgeous girl HERE.

Sending sunny thoughts..

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project, I have made an artjournal page with all Bipasha products.

Here's how I made this:

First of all I stamped the mug and the sunflowers on watercolour paper.

While my stamping was drying I added texture paste through this stencil onto my background which is Mixed media paper.

When the texture paste was dry I sprayed the page with a Dylusions Ink spray. I haven't used these for ages and I wanted this colours. It is Calipso Teal.
After it dried I used a brayer and white paint to tone it all down and grunge it up a little.

Next I watercolored the flowers and the mug and cut them out.

This is what I had in mind.

Before I added the stamping I added some Inktense pencil around the texture paste circles. It makes them stand out a little more. I used a bit of green and a bit of blue. I then added stamping with yellow, brown and black ink and went around the edges of the page with the brown ink pad.
I also splattered onto the page with a white, black and yellow paint pen. I love how grungy it looks now.

Next I added washi tape and placed the mug with flowers on the top to ground it. I also added some washi tape in the left hand top corner for balance.
Lastly I added the sentiment.

I have used the following AALL & Create products (all by Bipasha Bk):

Washi tape #24 - Power Words
Stencil #147 - Coffee Stains
Stamps:
#647 - Basic Tags
#552 - Scripted Cross
#457 - Background Voices
#643 - Hot Drinks
#642 - Caffeinated

Hope this brightens your day

 Hello everyone,

For today's Guest Design project for AALL & Create I made a journal page.

Here's how I made this:

On a piece of 6 x 6 Mixed Media paper I heat embossed this fabulous stam and then dunked it into Distress Oxide inks. I used Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade. I then splashed some water on it to create some lighter spots.

I also stamped the flower I wanted to use as a focal point.

Next I used this fab stencil by Bipasha to add more interest.

Next, stamping. I used grey and black ink to add some dark areas. Later I used a brayer and some white paint to tone it down slightly but also to make it look a little more shabby.

I have actually stamped this stamp whole and keep cutting out the pieces that I want.

The flower is now coloured. I used Distress Ink in Peeled Paint and Worn Lipstick to colour it. For the middle I just added some yellow dots with a paint pen.

Here is is all put together. I matted the page on some black card stock and then glued it into my journal.

I have used :

Stencil : #147 - Coffee Stains by Bipasha Bk
Stamps:

#543 - Reckoner Digits by Tracy Evans
#350 - Splattered Numbers by Tracy Evans
#663 - Garden Mashup by Tracy Evans
#648 - Friendship Florals by Trace Evans
#630 - Basic Sentiments by Bipasha Bk

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard. I used the set "Spring Dress" which was released this week. She is adorable.

I used a  brayer to add the turquoise acrylic paint to the card and let it dry. I then did the same with the fuchsia colour. When that was still wet I put one of Janet's stencils on it and wiped away the paint in the openings of the stencil with a baby wipe. I then took the stencil off and dried it.
As always I rolled over some white acrylic paint to tone it down. Next I added the stamping and some washitape.  (All AALL & Create)

Next I resized and printed the little girl, coloured her with Copic Markers and cut her out. I placed her on the washi tape to ground her. I added a sentiment from the same set and that was that !

You'll find this new set called "Spring Dress" HERE

Go fish

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a triptych with ATC's. I used some older sets because I had an idea for them. I love the look on the boy's face like he is shocked about the idea of going fishing in the fishtanks/television..

Here's how:

I started with stamping the elements I needed on watercolour paper.

I then coloured all the images in with watercolours. I had to change the background for the photos as the colours got really distorted. That happens sometimes when it is a sunny day and when I used yellow/orange and blue tones..

After I painted the background too I added some stencilling with Distress Ink and a blending tool.

I then added some stamping, not too much as I liked it as it was.

I then mounted the cards on brown card stock and then on yellowish designer paper.

for this project I used the following materials:

Stencil:
#96 - Dandelion Field by Janet Klein

Stamps:
#476 - Happy Hour by Janet Klein
#315 - Go fish by Janet Klein
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
