Naughty or Nice?

 Hello everyone,

I have made my first Christmas card of the year.... Mind you when I am typing this it is stil not even mid October...  Of course it is an AALL & Create project because it is Tuesday !

Here's how:

I started with colouring the elf and the presents. I added some white pen to make them look a little different from each other.

I then made the background; I used Distress Ink this time and I just smooshed the card into a puddle of Peeled Paint and water until I was happy. I did dry in between. I then stamped the background with the same ink and some grey and black.

Next, some modelling paste with this stencil.

Washi tape for the Elf to stand on.

I wonder if he/she is naughty or nice?

I have used the following fabulous AALL & Create products:

Stencil:
#97 - Starry Night by Janet Klein
Washitape:
#20 - Verde Que Te Quiero Verde by Janet Klein
Stamps:
#494 - X or O by Janet Klein

The power of coffee

 Hello everyone,

The second project for this months Country View Challenges theme of 'tags' is, you guessed it, another tag! lol.

Here's how:

Fist I cut a tag from watercolour paper. I then dunked it in Oxide inks, Crackling Campfire and Salvaged Patina until I was happy. Then added stencilling with white paint.

Did some background stamping with the same Oxides and a black Versafine Clair.

I chose this animal (is he an animal?) as a focal. He is by Katzelkraft.

I coloured him with watercolour markers.

After he dried I cut him out, added washi tape to the tag and sat him on the top of it. I added a snarky Tim Holtz sticker as a sentiment.

We hope you play along with us ! Just make sure to read the RULES before you do!

I'll see you again soon for a brand-new challenge !

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday!

For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made an ATC with the newly released set 'Cookies and Milk'.

I found this ATC sized card in my stash and added splatters and washi tape to it. I printed and coloured the images and cut them out. I then glued everything on the ATC, letting some of her hair stick out on the left.

You'll find this set HERE

 Hello everyone,

Today I have a slightly different GDT post for AALL & Create to share. I made some samples for the TV shows last weekend and I thought I'd show them here as well.

They are all Janet's new collection of senior citizens and I love them.

This tag was made with a mop up page from the gelli plate. I added some stamping and splattering. I also added a stencil print with pink Distress Oxide ink. Image was coloured with Copic Markers.
I have used:
Stencil #139 - Snow Pines
Washi tape #17 - Mix & Match

This is Martha Joy, she is very sophisticated !
This tag was made by dunking a tag shaped piece of card stock into Distress Oxide ink in the colour Ground Espresso. This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday!

For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a card. I have used the newly released set 'Santa's favourite' and it is very cute.

I printed and coloured the images and then cut them out. The background is part of a gelli print I had in my stash, I just added some stamping to it using Janet's stamp for AALL & Create.
I glued everything on the card panel, doodled around the edges and then glued the panel on a white card base. Lastly I added some shading under the elf and the dog using a graphite pencil.

You'll find this cute elf HERE

Sending Smiles

 Hello everyone,

Today's project is for AALL & Create! I grabbed back to an older stamp simply because I like it so much. I combined it with some stencilling and stamping and made a card:

Here's how:

First I painted the card white using acrylic paint and a brayer. I then stencilled part of this flower motif on the card using 2 shades of pink and 2 shades of green acrylic paint.

After toning it down with white paint, I stamped the chicken on the card and on a separate piece of watercolour card stock.

Next, I stamped the card randomly. I used similar colours to the flowers and leaves and added grey and black.

I added a piece of washi tape for the chicken to stand on.

Next I coloured the chicken using watercolour markers and coloured pencils.

The sentiment.

Here is the card put together. I like it !

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday!

For today's project I have made a postcard. As some of you might know Janet has been visiting London and Paris recently and brought out some digistamps to celebrate. I did London last week so today it is Paris' turn. I have never been to Paris; I wonder if it is nice?

Isn't he cute?
I made the background by cutting a piece of card stock to 4 x 6 making it a postcard. I then searched my stash for blue and red pieces of leftover paper. I found some! Yay! The blue has been colours with what looks like Distress ink and there  is some embossing over the top. The red is a gelliprint I made with Copic Refills and a feather stencil. I added some stamping, a French postage stamp, some washi tape by Janet from AALL & Create with French words and the sentiment was made with a tape embosser. The little guy was printed, coloured and cut out and adhered onto the card. I added a post mark stamp to the postage stamp.
You'll find this cute little guy together with a cute girl and some accessories HERE

Wild and Free

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing an artjournal page for AALL & Create. I try to give all designers the same amount of attention throughout the month and today was Tracy's turn.

Here's how:

I started with a piece of 6 x 6 water colour paper. I made a gelli print with this stencil. First, roll yellow paint on your plate and pull a print. Then roll over turquoise paint and put the stencil on the paint while it is still wet. Put a piece of paper over the top and roll your brayer over it to take all the paint out of the holes. Then take stencil and paper off and put your yellow print on the plate. (You have to be reasonably quick so the paint doesn't dry.) Pull your second print.

After toning it down with white paint and the same brayer I stamped the background randomly. I used whatever ink had the right colour, some Archival, some Distress Oxide and a Versafine Clair.

Next some washi tape. I did tone that down with white paint as well.

Next the focal. I stamped it on my page and on a piece of watercolour paper.

I used my watercolours to give him a bit of colour. I then cut him out.

Here he is in all his splendour ! The last thing was adding black splatters and a sentiment which came from the same stamp set. I matted the sentiment and the page on black card stock to make it pop.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil:
#30 - Autour de Mwa
Washi tape:
25 mm by Autour de Mwa
#7 - WInged Friends by Tracy Evans
Stamps:
#625 - Vine by Tracy Evans
#350 - Splattered Numbers by Tracy Evans
#304 - Heartfelt by Tracy Evans

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a journal page.

Meet 'Fowl Dee' ! lol
I printed Miss Dee and the chicken, coloured them with my Copics and cut them out. I then worked on the background. I did this straight in my 8 x 8 Dylusions journal. I put paint on the gelliplate (6 x 6) and printed it in my book. I added some stamping with AALL & Create stamps and stuck down some washi tape, also by AALL & Create. I placed Miss Dee her chicken and the sentiment on the page and glued them down.

You'll find Fowl Dee HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today !

A touch of Psycho!

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create GDT post I have made a postcard with another Miss Dee. I can't get enough of her and this one is very much like me in the morning ! lol

Here's how I made it:

For this project I dusted off my Distress Oxide Sprays. I forgot how messy sprays are! lol I used Cracked Pistachio, Fossilised Amber and Iced Spruce. I kept spraying water on it until I was happy with the result. I then rubbed the Black Soot Distress Oxide ink pad over this stencil and sprayed it with water. I then printed it onto the card. I thought this cobweb would set the mood for Dee.

After the usual toning down with brayer and white paint I stamped the card randomly using stamps by Janet Klein.

More stamping as I wasn't quite happy with the background and then some washi tape. Also by Janet.

I stamped Miss Dee and a sentiment from set #771 which I think goes very well with this Dee.

I coloured her with Copic Markers and then cut her out.

Here is the whole thing put together.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil:
#146 - Reverse Cobweb by Bipasha Bk

Washitape:
#18 - Poets by Janet Klein

Stamps:
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#339 - Colour Theory by Janet Klein
#758 - Hidden Words by Janet Klein
#771 - Dee Quips by Janet Klein
#737 - A.M. Dee by Janet Klein
