Whatever...

 Hi everyone,

For today's AALL & Create post I have made a card.

Here's how:

I cut the biggest of the two cards with die set #26 from Designer Paper Pack #11.

Today I was concentrating on Bipasha's products so used background stamps by her. I used #555 and #457 with Versafine Clair in Twilight and VersaMark with WOW embossing powder 'Metallic Copper'.

The embossing powder looks really cool and metallic.

Next I added some of the ephemera pack #65. I really like this steampunk/vintage collection. I had to cut some of the pieces to make them fit but that was just part of the fun.

For the focal image I wanted to use this little kitten. I got rid of the hat by masking it off and drawing in the very top of his head. I also stamped him on the card directly so I could cut off all the little hairs of his fur.

Finally I chose one the the ephemera stickers from set #52 as a sentiment. I think it turned out cool!.

I have used:

Design Paper #11 - Rusty Rhythms by Bipasha Bk

Die #26 - Frayed Frames

Ephemera:
#65 - Halo Haze by Bipasha Bk
#52 - Comic Tags by Autour De Mwa & Co

Stamps:
#457 - Background Voices by Bipasha Bk
#555 - Lined Plus by Bipasha Bk
#1138 - Macaron Mountain by Bipasha Bk

Washi tape #106 - Bolted Borders by Bipasha Bk

Other materials:
Versafine Clair - Twilight
Versamark Embossing ink
Memento Tuxedo Black - for Copic Colouring
WOW embossing powder - Metallic Copper
Watercolour Marker and water brush for shading
Copic Markers

Sending Smiles

 Hello everyone,

Today's project is for AALL & Create! I grabbed back to an older stamp simply because I like it so much. I combined it with some stencilling and stamping and made a card:

Here's how:

First I painted the card white using acrylic paint and a brayer. I then stencilled part of this flower motif on the card using 2 shades of pink and 2 shades of green acrylic paint.

After toning it down with white paint, I stamped the chicken on the card and on a separate piece of watercolour card stock.

Next, I stamped the card randomly. I used similar colours to the flowers and leaves and added grey and black.

I added a piece of washi tape for the chicken to stand on.

Next I coloured the chicken using watercolour markers and coloured pencils.

The sentiment.

Here is the card put together. I like it !

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil:
#138 - Rosy Posy by Bipasha BK

Have the best birthday ever !

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create GDT post I have made a postcard :

Here's how I made it :

First, I coloured one of the images of this stamp set and cut it out.

Next I cut a piece of card stock 6" x 4", postcard size and printed this stencil on this. I used Distress Oxide inks Broken China and Dusty Concord. I smooshed them onto the stencil, spritzed with water and printed it onto the paper.

I added stamping.

Some washi tape and I also stamped the image onto the card to get all the little details I couldn't cut out.

a sentiment

All put together and finished !

#143 - Creatively Crossed by Autour de Mwa

Dogs, dogs and more dogs !

Hello everyone,

For today's project for AALL & Create I have made a mini book with a single sheet of 12"x12" paper. I have some step-by-step photos, just in case you want to have a go too. There are also numerous tutorials on YouTube, just search for 'book from 12"x12" paper.

This is the front, the back isn't very interesting so I didn't take a picture of that.

Here is how I made it:

One sheet of 12 x 12 pattern paper. I folded in half and then in half again from both sides. So you get 4 squares horizontally and 4 squares vertically.

Next, cut into the left fold up 3 squares, do the same on the right. Then turn the paper over and do the same in the middle but from the other side. You can see what I mean in the picture above.

Now you need to decide which side of the paper you want to be showing. Start folding up and down from the left bottom corner and go around until it looks like this. You can always turn the folds the other way if you want to other side of the paper. It will also make a difference to the amount of double pages you get. I got 8 in the end.

Here is my folded and glued book. You do have to glue some parts together to get a working book. But this is clear when you have folded it.
I decided in the end to cut a bit of the end (after folding and gluing) because I had 5 dogs so I wanted 5 double pages.

After giving every page a rough 2 layers of white gesso I started decorating, I used this fab stencil and the gorgeous flower stamps by Bipasha alternatively.

A little more stamping with black for contrast.

Stamping out the stars of the show ready for colouring.

For the outside of the book I used a piece of fabric, added some gesso and used the same stencil as in the book. I added some stamping and the sentiment.

Here are the finished pages:

I added some washi tape here and there and some pencil doodles. I added some clipping stickers as sentiments as well as using the sentiments from the set.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stamp sets:
#373 - Rescue Puppies by Janet Klein
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#324 - Blooming Beauty by Bipasha Bk

Stencil:
#85 - Abundance by Olga Heldwein

Looking through..

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create GDT post I have made a round journal page. As soon as I saw this magnifying glass stamp I knew I had to cut out the 'lens' and replace it with acetate. And that is what I did. The rest of it sort of evolved when I was doing it..

So here is how I made it :

I started with stamping the magnifying glass onto a piece of watercolour paper and cutting out the lens part.

I thought is needed something on the other side so I stamped part of a flower from this set. Later I also added the little text stamp above and below the flower.

I planned to use three eyes in my 'looking' glass but later decided to only use one and add something else from this set.

Next, colouring. I used a mix of Inktense pencils and watercolours.

Because I had made a booboo (stain from the watercolours)  on the right which I couldn't get rid off, I added some modelling paste through this stencil. That hid it !

Next I glued some acetate behind the hole and coloured the eye and lightbulb. I planned to back it with paper but then decided to add another layer of acetate and place eye and bulbs between the two layers. I did stamp the complete stamps onto the acetate with StaZon ink before gluing the coloured images over the top. Last thing was adding this sentiment which is part of another stamp.

And that was that ! Done !

I have used the following stamps :

#323 - Navigate Home by Bipasha Bk
#319 - Magnify it by Bipasha Bk
#324 - Blooming Beauty by Bipasha Bk
#23 - By Bipasha Bk

Stencil:
#93 - Enchanted Garden by Olga Heldwein
