This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday !

For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made yet another Memory Dex card! They are great little canvasses to work on.

I have used the set "Time for Christmas' which came out last year.

After cutting out the Memory Dex card and some stars from the same set I coloured it with Distress Oxide inks. I added some stamping and washitape. Next I printed the images and coloured them with Copic Markers. I then cut them out. I arranged everything on the card and glued it down. The stars were put on with dimensional tape.

You'll find "Time for Christmas' HERE or HERE

Thank you for stopping by today !

Bright stars

 Hello everyone,

For my second project for the Country View Challenges December challenge with the theme 'Christmas' I have made a super simple card. It is ideal to reproduce quickly if you have to make lots of cards. I have used a piece of ribbon from my stash and a piece of Tim Holtz pattern paper and a Tim Holtz stamp which I stamped and heat embossed with Distress Embossing powder.

Here's how:

I cut a piece of very old Tim Holtz pattern paper to size. You could use any paper you have.

I then stamped this stamp with VersaMark and heat embossed it with blue/grey embossing powder. Don't worry about the warping. That will be ok once it is glued to a card.

I added a bow with ribbon from my stash.

and adhered the panel to a card. Took all of 10 minutes to make.

Anyway, merry Christmas everyone!

Naughty or Nice?

 Hello everyone,

I have made my first Christmas card of the year.... Mind you when I am typing this it is stil not even mid October...  Of course it is an AALL & Create project because it is Tuesday !

Here's how:

I started with colouring the elf and the presents. I added some white pen to make them look a little different from each other.

I then made the background; I used Distress Ink this time and I just smooshed the card into a puddle of Peeled Paint and water until I was happy. I did dry in between. I then stamped the background with the same ink and some grey and black.

Next, some modelling paste with this stencil.

Washi tape for the Elf to stand on.

I wonder if he/she is naughty or nice?

I have used the following fabulous AALL & Create products:

Stencil:
#97 - Starry Night by Janet Klein
Washitape:
#20 - Verde Que Te Quiero Verde by Janet Klein
Stamps:
#494 - X or O by Janet Klein
#741 - Lil Elf by Janet Klein
#758 - Hidden Words by Janet Klein
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio projects I have made a journal page and a tag.

Every now and then I have to use Miss Dee again. So today was the day, and she is in full Christmas mood! (A bit like me...lol).
I decorated the page with blue stars from a home made stencil and then printed, coloured and cut out Miss Dee. I decided to give her a festive hat; this one, together with the sentiment is from the set 'Treena"

Both of these sets are still available on request.

This tag was made with a piece of watercolored paper from my stash. I printed, coloured and cut out this cute little girl and placed her on the tag. There is a piece of thin paper from a paper bag underneath her to make her stand out more. I added some doodling and the sentiment and that finished the tag.
She is from the set "Carolers", and you'll find then HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Jingle your own damn bells!

Hello everyone,

Welcome !  Can you believe it is December today ? Even though this year has been pretty awful, it still flew by. I can't wait for it to be over altogether, Christmas included as it looks like Lockdown will go on until after the middle of January !

I have made a Christmas card for the new challenge over at Country View Challenges where the theme is "Christmas, anything goes'.

This is one of the Tim Holtz Halloween Snarky cats and I was determined to prove they work for other occasions too.
There is a YouTube tutorial if you'd like to know how I made this HERE or you can click the picture below :

We hope you will play along with us but before you do, please read the rules. You will find them on the Country View Challenges blog.

Keep calm again....

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blogpost for Katzelkraft. It is almost Christmas so I thought I'd make another Christmas themed project. I have made a postcard.

I started with stamping the Reindeer and the little man. I did mask off his hat/head so that I didn't have to glue the hat on. I coloured the reindeer and the little man and then cut them all out. Next I painted the postcard panel (6"x4") and heat embossed the rings with the stars on it. I then glued everything in place and added the sentiment.

I used the following stamps:

KTZ159 - Noël Keep calm
KTZ119 - Les Drôles d'accessoires
KTZ212 - Les Pabos Aviateur
Solo 102 - Christmas Gangnam style

Keep calm and wait for Christmas

Hello everyone,

For today's Katzelkraft inspiration I have made a Christmas card. The photos are taken at an angle because I wanted to capture all the gold. I just couldn't make it work with a straight on photo. There is gold paint in the gelli print and all the embossing is done with golden powder.

As mentioned I used a gelli print from my stash. This one had red, light blue and gold paint on it and I have been waiting to use it because I thought is was a really nice print. Anyway, I stamped the swirl with VersaMark and heat embossed it with gold powder; I also dipped the edges of the card in the ink pad and embossed them too. Next I stamped the angel on the card and on a piece of white card stock. I coloured him with Copic Markers and cut him out without his halo. I used a VersaMark pen to colour the halo on the card panel and heat embossed that too with gold powder. Lastly I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed the edges. Everything was then glued onto the panel and the panel stuck onto a white card base.

I have used these stamps:

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing my second post for the "Christmas" Challenge over at Country View Challenges. I decided to go a little different today and deviate from the traditional colours. I have made a mini Art Journal page. You can still play along with us and might win a £20 voucher for the shop if you win ! Just read the rules before playing !

And here's how:

I started with a mini Moleskine watercolour journal. I glued a piece of dictionary paper over my page.

Next I added a layer of gesso and then coloured the page with Distress Oxide Inks.

I added one of the sentiment stamps of this PaperArtsy set as a background stamp with Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I stamped Father Christmas on the page and on a piece of watercolour paper. I watercolored the one on the white paper and cut him out.

Cute in blue, don't you think ?

And this is the end result. I used some washi tape for him to stand on and added the Ho! Ho! Ho! sentiment from the same stamp set which I also painted with watercolours.

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

Sandy toes !

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my weekly post for Vera Lane Studio. I have a postcard to share and also the ATC for the monthly swap which is hosted by Stephanie this time. She chose the theme of 'Christmas in July'.

I used a background from my stash for this card. It was made with the gelli plate and Copic Refills. Will have to make some more soon as my stash is getting very low ! I resized, printed, coloured and cut out the girl, the cloud and the sentiment.. Placed them on the card on top of a torn strip of washi tape and that was that ! I love how it turned out.

You will find this set HERE

This is my ATC for this month's swap. I used one of the baubles; isn't she cute !

Keep calm...

Hello everyone,

and Merry Christmas !! It is time for my second project for the Country View Challenge "Christmas with optional reds, greens and rust".  I am not a very traditional person so I have made a tag.. There is still time to play along ! Just make sure to read the rules HERE.

I think he is hilarious !

Here's how I made it :

First I die cut a tag and made masks of the cat and the hat. I don't usually make one-layer cards but I thought it would be good to try ..

I put the masks on the tag to see where I had to stamp...

I put the tag in my stamp positioner and stamped the hat first..

Then masked it off and stamped the cat....

Here is the result...

I then masked everything off again to ink blend the background..

This is how that looked.

Next I took off the masks and coloured the cat.

He does make me laugh.. he looks so grumpy !

I used this 'water-wall' stamp to create snow.

I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

And here is the finished tag !

Thank you so much for stopping by..
