The journey is the destination

 Hello everyone,

Another new month, another new challenge over at Country View Challenges. The theme this month was chosen by Monika and it is 'Vehicles'. We would love for you to play along with us but before you do, please read the rules on the CVC blog.

For this first project I have made a journal spread.

Here's how I made it:

I wanted to work in my journal so first thing I did was stamp the 'vehicle', a car in this case and a little stamp from the same set on the left top corner. Just for the fun of it. These stamps are by PaperArtsy.

I then used white paint to cover the pages; I wanted the next layers to move and not go directly into the paper. I also coloured the car with watercolour markers and coloured pencils.

I used Acrylic paints to colour the pages. I put it on and wiped it off. This only works when you have paint underneath. i wanted a very light and 'cloudy' effect.

I then used my trusty brayer and toned it all down with white paint.

Next, stamping; my favourite bit. I used inks in the same-ish colours and added grey and black.

I still was not happy and added some stencilling using white ink but it didn't show up much and it takes forever to dry so I sprinkled white embossing powder over it and heat embossed. It's nice and white and shiny now... and dry !

Some small talk stickers by Tim and some black splatters finished these pages off.

I hope this inspired you to take part in the challenge ! You could win a £20 voucher for the shop.

Thank you so much for stopping by today ! I will be back soon with more inspiration.

A grumpy old woman

 Hello everyone,

It is September, can you believe it? For the new challenge over at Country View Challenges I have made an art journal spread. I also finally did another video. I have been so busy with stuff that I simply didn't have enough time to do videos. It is not the filming but the editing that takes so much time. Anyway here is my art journal:

Isn't she adorable... lol
It is a really quick and easy spread. It's just ink and stamps and if you'd like to see how I made this then please hop over to my YouTube channel where you will find a tutorial.
We would love it if you played along with us, you might just win a £20 voucher to spend in the shop. Make sure to read the rules before you do though. You'll find them HERE

or you can click on the picture below:

Thank you for stopping by ! I will be back soon with more inspiration.

Happy birthday

 Hello everyone,

First of all Happy New Year ! Let's hope 2021 will be a better year.

Today is also the day that a brand new challenge is starting on the Country View Challenges Blog! The theme is 'use one of more squares on your project' and is hosted by me ! So I would like you to use squares, either in you background or even as a focal point ! Put your thinking caps on..

Here's mine:

I decided to make a birthday card because we always need birthday cards, don't we? This one was quite easy and almost one layer. I used stamps by PaperArtsy and Tim Holtz and a stencil by AALL & Create.

If you'd like to see how I made this then go to my YouTube Channel HERE or click on the picture below:

Vogeltjes/Birds

Hello everyone,

Hallo allemaal,

Today I have 2 cards to show you that I made with the new PaperArtsy Zinskis and Zinis.

Vandaag heb ik 2 kaarten om te laten zien die ik heb gemaakt met de nieuwe PaperArtsy Zinski's en Zini's.

Both cards have been made with a gelli printed piece of paper as a background. I stamped the animals on the background and also on white card stock. I coloured the ones on the white paper with Copic Markers, cut them out (yes, i cut off the legs and other small bits) and then adhered them on top of the one on the background. That way you have all the details.

Thank you for stopping by today !

Leuk dat jullie er waren !

New Zinkski Stamps at PaperArtsy

Hello everyone,

Last Saturday I had the honour to be featured on the Paper Artsy blog with some samples I made for the new release of Elana Guzinska's Zinski Art. I had fun making loads of different samples and today I will show you what I made.

These sheep are my absolute favourite ! I combined them with small stamps from the other stamp sets.

A tag with one the of baking themed Zini's.

The potty baker on a tag...

More baking ! on a gelli print.

Love the lovebirds on a background made with Infusions.

Another tag with 2 of the new Zini's, also on a gelli print.

Love this one, gelli printed background with a sheep..

Really love these sheep. CaS coloured with Copic markers.

Another gelli printed background for these guys..

These are chatting ! Copic coloured images on gelli prints.

I stamped these guys on gessoed book paper and then adhered them to an Infusion background on which I stencilled with gesso.

And a set of 4 twinchies with my favourite sheep ! All done with Copics.
