Now, I thought this was an easy one but I did struggle with this card. It just wasn't my day! and welcome to my blogpost today where I have made a tag for Hobbycompleet de Duif. I have used my new Dina Wakley goodies again ! Love them..

I cut a tag from some white card stock and painted it with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylics in Cheesecake. Next I used the Dina "Wallpaper" stencil with Haystack and Tango. When everything had dried I added a few pieces of the Dina Collage papers. Next I stamped the lady, once on the tag and once on white card stock. I coloured the one on the white card stock with Copic Markers and cut her out. I adhered her onto the one on the tag. This way you have all the details.. 

Lastly I added the sentiment which is from the same stamp set.

Hallo allemaal, 

One of the perks of being on a DT is that you get 'stuff' to work with. For this project I have used the new Dina Wakley goodies and I really enjoyed making this as she is one of my fave designers.

Een van de voordelen van in een DT zitten (Hobbycompleet De Duif) is dat je de nieuwste spulletjes krijgt om mee te werken. Voor dit project heb ik Dina Wakley's laatste nieuw producten gebruikt en ik heb er van genoten !

It is an Art Journal page :
Het is een Art Journal pagina geworden : 

This is the background I started with. It is a gelli print on tissue paper, by Dina, and I have added stencilling ...

Dit was de achtergrond waar ik mee begonnen ben. Het is een gelli print op het nieuwe Dina tissue paper waar ik  nog wat op gestencild heb. (Links naar producten onderaan  dit blogbericht. 

I then adhered the tissue to a piece of MM paper and stitched around the edges. 

Ik heb het na droging op een stuk MM papier geplakt en rondom met de naaimachine gestikt. 

I used the Tim Holtz stamp platform to stamp my 'lady'.

Om mijn 'dame' te stempelen heb ik het Tim Holtz platform gebruikt. 

I coloured her with Faber Castell Big Brush Pit pens and a water brush. I also stamped her on the background so I can adhere her in the same spot when I have cut her out. 

Ik heb haar ingekleurd met Faber Castell Pit pens en een water penseel. Ik heb haar ook op de pagina gestempeld zodat ik haar later daar precies kan opplakken.

Hallo allemaal, 

Today, for Hobbycompleet de Duif,  I have two tags to share that I made with some of the new Dina Wakley products.
Vandaag heb ik twee labels gemaakt voor Hobbycompleet De Duif met de nieuwe Dina Wakley producten.

First I cut 2 labels using a Tim Holtz one as a template. I then adhered the tissue by Dina over top. 

Eerst heb ik 2 labels uitgeknipt en hiervoor een Tim Holtz Tag #8 als voorbeeld gebruikt. Daarna heb ik het tissue papier van Dina erop geplakt. 

Next I gave them a coat of gesso and when that had dried I stencilled over top with pink and blue. 

Daarna heb ik een laagje gesso erop geschilderd en met een Dina stencil en rose en blauwe verf het patroon aangebracht. 

I then added some black paint and washi tape. 

Vervolgens heb ik wat zwarte verf en washi tape aangebracht. 

I then stamped the main images for my tags and coloured them with Copic Markers. 

Toen heb ik deze stempels afgedrukt en ingekleurd met Copic Markers. 

Hier zie je het resultaat. Als laatste heb ik nog de tekst gestempeld zowel apart en als achtergrond over de zwarte delen. 

And this is the result. Lastly I stamped the sentiment as a sentiment and as a background as well over the black areas.

Hello everyone, 

Vandaag heb ik een Art Journal pagina om te laten zien. Ik heb deze gemaakt voor Hobbycompleet De Duif. 
Today I have an Art Journal page to show you. I made this for the DT of Hobbycompleet De Duif. 

De achtergrond is met de gelli plate gemaakt. Ik heb hiervoor rose, oranje en rode verf gebruikt van Amsterdam Acrylics. Natuurlijk kun je gebruiken wat je wilt. Voor de patroontjes in de achtergrond kun je ook van alles gebruiken. De cirkels aan de linkerkant bijvoorbeeld zijn gemaakt met een onderzetter van Ikea. Je kan ook stencils gebruiken en dopjes.... 

Ik heb de dame gestempeld met VersaMark en toen met embossing poeder bestrooid. Ik heb weer rose, oranje en rood gebruikt. 

De woorden zijn met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld, uitgeknipt en opgeplakt. Ik ben nog wel even met een rose marker langs de randjes gegaan. 

Als laatste een zwart en een wit lijntje rondom getekend. 

I made the background with the gelli plate and Amsterdam Acrylics in orange, pink and red. I created some interest with a coaster from Ikea (circles on the left)  and some stencils. You can use anything from foam stamps, rubber stamps, bottle tops etc... 

When everything was dry I stamped the lady with VersaMark and heat embossed her with embossing powder again using orange, pink and red. 

The sentiment was stamped on white card stock, cut out and adhered. I did go around the strips with a pink marker. A black and white line around the edge finished it off.

and welcome to my blogpost for Hobbycompleet De Duif where today I am sharing a card. In the middle of last month I was sent some Dina Wakley goodies and this is the last of the five projects I made with them. 

I started with a panel of watercolour paper and used the method where you smoosh the Distress Oxide ink on your craft mat, spray with water and then dunk your panel in it as often as you'd like. When I was happy and it had dried I stamped the background with one of the sentiment stamps in the same colour inks and doodled around the edge with a black pen. Next I stamped the girl with my stamp platform and heat embossed her with clear powder. I stamped the sentiment onto white paper, cut out the words and adhered them to the panel. I doodled around the words too and then lastly splattered some white paint on it. 

The panel was then adhered to a card.

and welcome to this blogpost for Hobbycompleet De Duif,  where today I am sharing an Art Journal page made with Dina's new goodies..

I started with a piece of Mixed Media paper on which I stencilled the words first using crackle paste. Next I added thinned down acrylic paints in rainbow colours. Next I used a star stamp and a text stamp from one of the new Dina Wakley sets and filled the page, using the same colours as I used in the background. I used mostly Archival inks for this but I also stamped with Distress Oxide and paint as I didn't have all the colours that I needed. 

Next I added a black doodle line along the edges and went around the letters of the stencil with an Inktense Pencil. I used a water brush to soften the lines. The letters are more visible now. 

I the stamped the lady using my Tim Holtz stamp platform and clear embossed the image. That finished off this page.

and welcome to my blogpost for Hobbycompleet de Duif. I have made an art journal page with some of Dina Wakley's new goodies.

On a piece of Mixed Media Paper I painted PaperArtsy Fresco paints. Next I stencilled the word 'love' with white paint and when that was dry I stencilled it again slightly off with Orange Distress Oxide ink. I clear embossed that because it takes an age to dry and keeps reacting with water after drying. This was it is permanent. I then stamped the background with Distress Oxides and heat embossed. Next I stamped the lady on the page and on some book text, I cut out part of the booktext one and glued it onto the one on the page. This way her face is white instead of blue.. The sentiment was stamped on the white edges of the book paper and glued on. Lastly I doodled around the word strips and that finished the page.

Today I have a card to share. I made this for Hobbycompleet De Duif with the new Dina Wakley goodies I got sent.

This card was really simple to make. I started with a piece of white card stock and stamped one of the text stamps from Dina repeatedly on the card with Distress Oxides Worn Lipstick, Spiced marmelade and Twisted Citron. I then sprayed it with water so the ink began to run. I made sure not to add too much water as I was working on normal card stock. Next I stamped part of the girl stamp and heat embossed her with clear WOW Embossing powder. I then stamped the words on white paper, cut them out, inked the edges with the same inks and adhered to the panel. Lastly I drew some squiggly lines around the panel and adhered it to a card.

The whole universe ...

and welcome to my blog where today I am showing a project made for Country View Challenges. It is the 1st of November and that means that a new challenge starts today ! Anyway the theme for this month was chosen by the lovely Rachel and she went for "stars".

I started with a piece of white card stock. Not sure what is is but it is very smooth. Smoother than normal card stock and not as smooth as glossy card stock. I stamped the stars (the stars are from a Dina Wakley set called Grungy Stars)  with Versamark because I wanted to heat emboss them with white powder. This will act as a resist when I apply the ink. 

This is what that looked like... if you can see it, lol...

Here is what it looks like with all the inks applied. 

Next the centre piece, stamped with archival ink on the same paper and heat embossed with black powder so it is nice and black. 

Here is what it looked like after ink was applied.

This is the finished article. I added some background stamping with a script stamp from PaperArtsy from the Eclectica set ESN11 and grey ink. I matted the orange star on black paper to make it stand out more and added some sewing thread under it for more interest. I added a quote from a pack of 'small talk' stickers by Tim Holtz and doodled around the words and the edge of the page...

Ball and chain...

and welcome to my blog where today I'd like to introduce the new challenge over at Country View Challenges. It was my choice this month and because it is October I chose "All things spooky". Quite funny really if you know that Halloween is not really celebrated in Holland.
One year when it looked like it was taking off I made a whole bunch of sweet bags for the kids and yes, you guessed it, nobody came ! lol... I had to eat all the sweets myself !

Here is my first project of this month. It is not too spooky but I think it is funny. I have written up the process so you could recreate it or something like it if you wish.

And here is how I made it:

I started off with my gelli plate and some light blue paint as a base. 

Next I used purple paint and a star shaped foam stamp to create some interest. 

That was the background basically done. I did think that the stars weren't light enough so I used the same foam stamp and white paint to make them lighter by stamping over the top. Sorry I didn't take a picture of that but you get the idea....

Next, although the stars were now lighter I still thought they didn't stand out enough so I used a Dina Wakley stamp which fitted nicely over top of the stars. I stamped them with VersaMark ink, making sure to sometimes stamp them slightly askew. I then heat embossed the stars with white embossing powder from WOW. 

I also used a PaperArtsy script stamp and some black Archival in between the stars for more interest and texture.. 

As my focal images I used Morticia and Gomez from VeraLaneStudios. I love the Addams Family films and I think these drawings by Janet Klein, who also designs stamps for Stampotique, are absolutely fantastic ! These are digital images and I chose to colour them with Copic Markers. 

And here they are. Next I cut them out which was not easy with all the little fiddly bits on Morticia but I didn't do a bad job, I think....

I then put them on my page to see if I liked it. I thought they didn't stand out enough so I die cut an oval from book pages to put them on... sorry got carried away and forgot to take a picture.... 

Next I got my typewriter out and used the same book page that I used for the oval to type my sentiment on. I use the blank sides on the pages for this. I think it is nice to have the same paper for unity. I then cut out the sentiment, which is a quote from one of the films and put the whole thing together... 

I think it turned out great ! I hope you think that too !

De Craftorij Zomer Challenge - CZC2016 Day 41 - 45

Hello everyone,

Another 5 cards done in the Challenge, here goes:

Day 41 - insects 

I thought instead of using just insects, I'd use this lovely Stampotique "Spidergirl" who has a teeny weeny spider... It is a gelli printed base, what else.... lol and some stamping and colouring with Copics. Her dress is paper pieced. 

Day 42 - Use alumiumfoil

Again a gelli print... a piece of aluminium foil coloured with green alcohol ink and adhered to the edge of the card. I splattered some white paint and stamped the star (VersaMark and white embossing powder)  on pattern paper, cut it out, adhered it to book text and cut it out again. I have a little white border like this. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and white embossed. 

Day 43 - the Movies

Another gelli print, yes I know, boring... but they have been a godsend as I've had very little time recently with lots of other stuff going on... Marilyn is a stencil which I stencilled with black paint and a blending tool. The sentiment is by her and was stamped on book text, cut out and adhered. Lastly I drew som lines around the edges of the card and stuck some washi tape in the right top corner. 

Day 44 - one word

I chose Hello, because I like the stamp and the letters. I stamped it on yet another gelli print and added some white. I then stamped the background lightly and used inks in similar colours to the background. The animals & lanterns (by cats on apple trees) were stamped directly onto the card with a stamping positioner and again on white paper with different coloured inks. I then added some shading with pencils and glued them on. 

Day 45 - Favourite place

I had this fab stamp by Trish Latimer lying around for a few days and wanted to use it... I did get rid of the text in her dress and replaced it with the white flowers. I used a bigger flower from the same set in the background with blue and green ink. She was coloured with Copic Markers, cut out and adhered to the card. The sentiment says it all I think...

De Craftorij Zomer Challenge - CZC 2016 day 31 - 35

Hallo everyone,

I am very pleased to have caught up with the 'postcard a day' challenge after my week's holiday... so here is day 31 - 35 !!! I am really enjoying this !

Day 31 - waterdrops, I white embossed the raindops on the card first. Then I used Distress Inks to colour the background. Next I stamped the cat and the sentiment, coloured them and adhered them to the card. 

Day 32 - song lyrics. I painted the card black with gesso and white embossed the Rolling Stones song lyrics on it... 

Day 33 - Emoticons. On a gelli print I stamped this fabulous Visible Image stamp. I re stamped the little face, coloured it and adhered it on top.. 

Day 34 - Anything but black.... On another gelli print I stamped the clocks with VersaMark en white embossed them.. Stamped the background with grey ink.  The lady is by Dina Wakley and she was stamped on tissue paper and cut out. I adhered her to the card. The sentiment is by VivaLasVegaStamps! and is a quote from Alice inWonderland. I thought it fitted perfectly. 

I adhered it and used a red pencil to add some colour to the bottom and right of the strips.

Day 35 - Circles. 

This is another gelli print. I added some stamping and them die cut three circles big enough for these little fairies. I stamped them on white card stock, coloured them, cut them out and adhered them to the circles. The sentiment is by a dutch company called Stampingback. I stamped it, cut it into strips and adhered it to the card.
