Dwell in possibility

 Hi everyone,

Welcome ! For today's AALL & Create post I have made an artjournal spread. I used some of the new stamps for this; I really think that this release is the best so far, but I think that every time !

Here's how:

To start with I painted the pages with Dina Wakley paints and a brush. I used Lemon, Lime, Turquoise and Peacock. Next I toned it all down with white paint an my brayer. I then took the Heapza Hexagons stencil and stencilled first with white paint randomly over the pages..

I repeated the stencilling with the Lime and Turquoise paints.

After toning it down once more with white paint and my brayer I started stamping. I used the same-ish colours ink. I just use what I have; sometimes Versafine Clair, sometimes Distress Oxide inks.

After test more toning down, I added black paint around the edges with a pallet knife. Next I added some pieces of washi tape and black and white splatters. I decided the background was done.

Next I stamped my focal point and added a little colour to him. I used watercolour markers for this. I then cut him out.

I added some more washi tape for the crow to sit on.

I glued him down and added a Tim Holtz word chip as a sentiment. I thought it was quite good in combination with the washi tape.
I then called my pages done !

I hope you enjoyed my post ! Thank you for stopping by !

I have used the following stamps:

#445 - Dashing Crow by Olga Heldwein
#434 - Newsprint Numbers by Olga Heldwein
#383 - Scripted Hexagons by Bipasha Bk
#400 - Numerator by Tracy Evans

Stencil:

Destination unknown

Hello everyone,

For my first post for VivaLasVegaStamps! for June I have made a journal spread.

The background was made with acrylic paint over gesso. A stencil was then placed on the wet paint and I wiped away the paint in the holes with a baby wipe.
I then added splatters and background stamping.
The main image is made of two stamps; the fish and the bowl. I just stamped them together and then added the sentiment.

I have used the following stamps:

I also used:
White gesso
Dina Wakley Media Acrylic paint in Turquoise and Ocean
Distress Oxide inks in Carved Pumpkin and Peacock Feathers.
Versafine Clair - Nocturne
Copic Markers
Memento Tuxedo Black ink

A small journal for AALL & Create

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create Guest Design Post I have made a small journal..

This was so much fun to make and here's how:

So, after die cutting Eileen Hulls wrapped journal I simply cut the flap that is on the right side off. I then added paint with some cut and dry foam. I used Dina Wakley's Heavy Body Acrylic Paints and these are my favourite colours. I then used the fabulous Lotza Dotz stencil and white acrylic paint to add the circles. I also used a brayer to add some more white paint here and there. You can see that in the next photo.

Next, I stamped Bipasha's 'Postbox & Phonelines' stamp in two parts on the cover. I used my stamping platform but had to put it on the rubber side because I folded the journal closed to get it all in the platform. I used some masking tape to keep it in place.

Next I stamped some more image from two other Bipasha sets on Mixed Media paper to colour and cut out. The idea is to collage them onto my book cover.

Here's a pic with the stamp sets I used. One (#23) is an older one but I love the eye and the lightbulb.
I also used the triangles as flags and the circles from the new stamp set (#231) as the wheels for the bicycle.

Here you can see it all together. I also cut out the words 'friends and family' to add as a sentiment. Of course I had to add white splatters too.

I love how it came out.. this is the front..

the back..

I put some signatures of paper in too and used elastic to keep them in place. I added some beads at the ends of the elastic.

The back once more..

I have used the following stamps:
#23 by Bipasha BK
#231 - Dial up by Bipasha BK
#228 - Postbox & Phonelines by Bipasha BK

Stencil:
#39 - Lotza Dotz by Autour de Mwa

We all have a story to tell

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blogpost today where I have made a tag for Hobbycompleet de Duif. I have used my new Dina Wakley goodies again ! Love them..

I cut a tag from some white card stock and painted it with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylics in Cheesecake. Next I used the Dina "Wallpaper" stencil with Haystack and Tango. When everything had dried I added a few pieces of the Dina Collage papers. Next I stamped the lady, once on the tag and once on white card stock. I coloured the one on the white card stock with Copic Markers and cut her out. I adhered her onto the one on the tag. This way you have all the details..
Lastly I added the sentiment which is from the same stamp set.

I used the following materials :

Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics:

Copic Markers:
E51 - E53 - E30 (skin)

Speak your truth

Hello everyone,
Hallo allemaal,

One of the perks of being on a DT is that you get 'stuff' to work with. For this project I have used the new Dina Wakley goodies and I really enjoyed making this as she is one of my fave designers.

It is an Art Journal page :
Het is een Art Journal pagina geworden :

This is the background I started with. It is a gelli print on tissue paper, by Dina, and I have added stencilling ...

I then adhered the tissue to a piece of MM paper and stitched around the edges.

I used the Tim Holtz stamp platform to stamp my 'lady'.

I coloured her with Faber Castell Big Brush Pit pens and a water brush. I also stamped her on the background so I can adhere her in the same spot when I have cut her out.

And here is the finished page.

Hier is de afgewerkte pagina !

Normal is boring

Hello everyone,
Hallo allemaal,

Today, for Hobbycompleet de Duif,  I have two tags to share that I made with some of the new Dina Wakley products.

First I cut 2 labels using a Tim Holtz one as a template. I then adhered the tissue by Dina over top.

Next I gave them a coat of gesso and when that had dried I stencilled over top with pink and blue.

I then added some black paint and washi tape.

I then stamped the main images for my tags and coloured them with Copic Markers.

And this is the result. Lastly I stamped the sentiment as a sentiment and as a background as well over the black areas.

I have used the following materials :

I want...

Hello everyone,

and welcome to this blogpost for Hobbycompleet De Duif,  where today I am sharing an Art Journal page made with Dina's new goodies..

I started with a piece of Mixed Media paper on which I stencilled the words first using crackle paste. Next I added thinned down acrylic paints in rainbow colours. Next I used a star stamp and a text stamp from one of the new Dina Wakley sets and filled the page, using the same colours as I used in the background. I used mostly Archival inks for this but I also stamped with Distress Oxide and paint as I didn't have all the colours that I needed.
Next I added a black doodle line along the edges and went around the letters of the stencil with an Inktense Pencil. I used a water brush to soften the lines. The letters are more visible now.
I the stamped the lady using my Tim Holtz stamp platform and clear embossed the image. That finished off this page.

I used the following materials:

Ranger Crackle Texture Paste
Amsterdam Acrylverf
Clear Embossing poeder
Archival Inkt, Jet Black
Distress Oxide:
Wilted Violet
Stempels:
Dina Wakley Media
- Splatter girl MDR58410
- Text and Scribbles MDR58427
Stencil:

Art is life, love art

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blogpost for Hobbycompleet de Duif. I have made an art journal page with some of Dina Wakley's new goodies.

On a piece of Mixed Media Paper I painted PaperArtsy Fresco paints. Next I stencilled the word 'love' with white paint and when that was dry I stencilled it again slightly off with Orange Distress Oxide ink. I clear embossed that because it takes an age to dry and keeps reacting with water after drying. This was it is permanent. I then stamped the background with Distress Oxides and heat embossed. Next I stamped the lady on the page and on some book text, I cut out part of the booktext one and glued it onto the one on the page. This way her face is white instead of blue.. The sentiment was stamped on the white edges of the book paper and glued on. Lastly I doodled around the word strips and that finished the page.

I used the following materials:

Discombobulated

Hello everyone,

and welcome to yet another new Challenge over at the Stampotique Designers' Blog. The theme for the next two weeks is "human with an animal head".  How fun is that !  We would love you to play along with us. Just remember to read the rules on the SDC page first. So here's mine:

This is an art journal page and it was started on a piece of Mixed Media paper. I gessoed it before painting it. I used Dina Wakley's heavy body acrylics. I added some stencilling in orange and black for more contrast and some subtle stamping as well.
Next I stamped Ghostie and Grumpy koala, coloured them both, cut them out and adhered them to the page using Ghostie's body and Koala's head. I also added some washi tape for him to stand on. The sentiment was stamped on white card stock, cut out, inked and adhered to the page.

I used the following stamps:

Wanderlust

Hello everyone,

Today it is my turn on the VivaLasVegaStamps! Blog... I have made a postcard with a little step-by-step to show you how I made it. As always I'll start with showing you the finished article.
I suggest you get a nice cuppa and sit down and enjoy !

And here is how I made it :

I finger painted a pre-gessoed piece of card stock with 4 colours of Dina Wakley's acrylic paints and also some white by Americana.

FInger painting is great fun and you have a lot of control.

This is how it looked after I finished...

Next I used a Dylusions Stencil and with the same colours of paint I started stencilling. I used a blending tool for this.

I did the same with the white paint and this is how it looked.

I thought it was a little too bright and decided to put a wash of diluted white acrylic paint over the top. I liked this much better.

Next I used this number stamp and some Archival inks in similar colours to add some interest.

Here is a close up of how that looks.

Next I stamped the fence (a complete list of the stamps I used is at the bottom of this post).
As you see the stamp doesn't quite reach the top and the bottom of the card but with a black pen that is soon corrected...

Here is how that looks..

Next I stamped the Rooster directly onto the card and onto some Mixed Media paper. I also stamped the word Wanderlust and cut it out. I used some of the pink paint to go around the sentiment for extra interest. The Rooster on the MM paper was cut out and glued onto the one on the card. That way your stamped image looks perfect even if you didn't cut it out perfectly.

And here is the finished result after I glued everything on the card.

I used the following stamps:
