Me time

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year ! It is the first of January today so that means the start of the new year but also the start of a new challenge over at Country View Challenges. Evelyn chose the theme this time and she picked 'Clocks/time'. For the first project I have made a postcard.

Here's how:

First I heat embossed the card panel. I used white embossing powder and a big background stamp by Katzelkraft.

I then used Distress Oxide inks Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed to colour the panel. I used a blending tool. I also went around the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide.

Next I stamped one of the cats of this Katzelkraft set.

and the sentiment which is a very old stamp by Visible Image.

To stamp the sentiment I used Versafine Clair ink in Summertime, Charming Pink and Cheerfull.

Here it is all put together.

I used some washi tape to the cat on and some in the right hand top corner. I added splatters with Distress Oxide ink and water (Walnut Stain) and went around the wordstrips with a black pen.

We would love for you to play along with us but make sure to read the RULES

I'll be back soon with more inspiration!

A very wonderful place... & a video

Hello everyone,

and happy July to you!

It is the first of the month so it is time for a new challenge over at Country View Challenges. If you play along with us you could win £20 to spend in the shop ! How cool is that. Just remember to read the RULES before entering. The theme this month was chosen by Jane and it is "The Summer garden".
I have made an art journal page.

I started with heat embossing the flowers (Visible Image) with white WOW embossing powder, then put the colour over the top using a blending tool and Distress Oxide Inks. I stamped and splattered a little and then added the kids, butterflies and text stickers.

This was a very simple page and easy to replicate if you'd like. I have filmed the process:

Snow is falling x 4

Hello everyone,

For Visible Image I am sharing 4 projects made with the fabulous "Snow is falling" and "Go To Christmas Words" sets. This is my last project for Visible Image as I am leaving the team at the end of October. It has been fun but it's time to move on.....

A tag made with Lindys Spray inks and white embossing powder.

I added some Stickles to this silver heat embossed snowflake and sentiment and framed the words with glitter tape.

This snowflake was stamped 3 times with different colours of Distress Oxide inks and then heat embossed with Holographic embossing powder.

This card has a Distress Oxide Background and some ribbon and vellum added.

I have used the following stamps:

Two musical cards

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my DT post for Visible Image. Today I have used the fab new stencil 'Grungy Union Jack' and some of the music themed stamps and made two cards.

For the first one I used the good old Distress Inks, a blending tool, water and the new stencil. Doesn't that look fabulous ! I stamped the words Bold and Beautiful on either side and then put the singer in the middle of the two words. I used a stamping tool for this.

This one was made with Distress Oxide inks, a blending tool and water. I stamped the words and the musician on it using my stamping tool. I then matted the panel on a piece of pattern paper and on a card.

I have used the following stamps/stencil:

Music

Hello everyone,

Today I have a card for Visible Image to share. The challenge this month is "Distress it" so I made a vintage-type card. I hope it gives you inspiration to play along in the challenge !

On a piece of kraft card stock I stamped the stars. I used Archival ink in the colour Potting Soil; I used the same ink to ink the edges and added some black Archival over the top later. I then distressed the edges. The guitar was stamped on book pages and torn out. The edges were inked with the same brown ink. I added the word Music and coloured in the letters on the guitar with a blue coloured pencil. Lastly I matted the panel on a black card.

I used the following stamps:

Live in the moment

Hello everyone,

Today I have a tag to share for Visible Image. I made this way back early August as I am away in sunny (one hopes) Brighton at the moment!

After cutting a tag out of watercolour paper I dunked it into two of the new Distress Oxide colours; wild honey and twisted citron. Once I was happy with the background I stamped it with one of the flowers of the 'Imperfection is beauty' stamp set. I used the same inks. While the ink was still wet I sprinkled clear embossing powder over it and heat embossed it.

I then added some white splatters.

I then stamped the sentiment and the dragon flies from the 'Live in the moment' set. I clear embossed the sentiment also. The wings were then stamped again on book paper and adhered over the ones already on the tag. A ribbon and some doodling around the edges finished it off !

I used the following stamps:

Stand out

Hello everyone,

and welcome to August ! I have a few posts to share to today and this is one of them. It is my project for Visible Image. I have made a card.

On a piece of white card stock I sprinkled Brusho's. I then used my finger to rub them into the paper. Once that was done I used the sentiment stamp from the set and water to stamp onto the card. This is like magic !!! When I had finished stamping the whole card panel I lightly misted it with water. Not too much because everything will blend into one. I think this is a really cool effect and also the only way I can use Brusho's because, control freak that I am, I hate using stuff that behaves unpredictably... lol
Anyway, I then stamped the legs on the card together with the sentiment. On a separate piece of paper  I stamped the shoe part again, this time with green ink and when this had dried I added some shading with a coloured pencil. I then cut the shoes out and adhered them on top of the ones on the card. A few white accents finished the panel off. I adhered the panel onto a white card.

I have used the stamp set 'Teenage Kicks' and you'll find it HERE.

Kiss kiss

Hello everyone,

Today I have a postcard to share that I made for the  Visible Image DT

On a pink, yellow and orange gelliprinted background I stamped the mouth and heat embossed it with pink powder. I then used a black and white pen to colour the inside of the mouth and the teeth.
The X's are also from the set with the lips which is called 'Dare to be different'.
The sentiment which consists of three kisses was done with the new Alphabet set.

I have used the following stamps:

Don't forget our challenge this month ! The theme is 'a splash of colour' and you can interpret any way you like. Prize is a GBP 40,-- Coupon for the online shop ! yay !

Perfectly flawed

Hallo allemaal,
Hello everyone,
en welkom op mijn blog waar ik vandaag voor Hobbycompleet de Duif een Art journal pagina laat zien die gemaakt is met aquarel verf en 2 stempels.

Today I have an art journal page made with 2 stamps and some water colour paint.

I stamped this lovely lady on water colour paper but did mask off some of her hair that goes across her face. I didn't like that. After stamping I painted the girl and the background with watercolours and when dry added the sentiment.
Ik heb de volgende materialen gebruikt :
Materials:

Stempels/stamps:
Penny Black - Isabelle 40549
Visible Image - Own it
Aquarel verf
Crafters Companion Aquarel papier
Dat was het voor vandaag ! Leuk dat je er was !

Precious

Hello everyone,

Over at Visible Image we have started to theme our challenges and this month it is 'A splash of colour' so I have made a card for this. Hope you'll play along with us ! You could win a £40 coupon for the store !

My card was really, really simple. The background is a designer paper on which I stamped 'precious' from the 'Somewhere in time' set and then I turned the paper over and stamped the flowers on the back side, cut them out and adhered them to the panel. I used dimensional adhesive for this.

I have used these stamps:

Time waits for no man!

Hello everyone,

I have an art journal page to share today using the lovely new stamps by Visible Image. I love the alphabet stamps, there are more than one of certain letters so that makes is easy to stamp words like 'happy' etc. I stamped them a little wonky but you can line them up really well.

I used a mop up page from my gelli print stack. I really like these; sometimes they are even nicer than the proper prints.
I added some background stamping using Archival ink and the pink clocks were heat embossed with pink embossing powder by WOW.

The letters are stamped on white paper, I then added the circles around them. There is a circle and a square in the set and the letters fit in there perfectly. I used a punch to cut them out.

I like my words to be wonky so I stamped them wonky on purpose. I added some white dots with a white pen.

That was it from me today !

I used all three new stamp sets for this page. You'll find them HERE.

You also still have time to play in our monthly challenge where the theme is 'Dimension'. I have put my letters spelling 'time' on dimensional tape so they stand out more.
