Believe in yourself

Hello everyone,

Today I have made an artjournal for you. I must say I really love the Um Wow Chipboards because they are so sturdy. They stand up to a lot of abuse....

I have also used some (very old) design paper, a paper doll, some lace, paint and fabric for this page. The chipboard was embellished like this :

First I tool the scissors to it as I didn't like the straight edges so I did some trimming. Once I was happy I pressed my VersaMark ink pad onto the chipboard and sprinkled all three colours of embossing powder onto it and them melted them.

This is how it came out, quite nice but I decided to sand some of the shine off and get some of the chipboard out again.

This is the finished result and I really love it.

A couple of close - ups ...

You can see where the chipboard is peeking through again.

And this is the finished page !

I hope I have inspired you to dust off the chipboards and use them too ! Maybe even to make a card or something ! They are so versatile.

You will find the Damaged Punchinella background I used HERE

Angel x 4

Hello everyone,

For Visible Image I am sharing 4 projects made with the fabulous "Angels" and "Go To Christmas Words sets".

A tag on which I have used lace, stitching, thread, paint, rhine stones, inks and embossing powder...

A card on a gelli printed background with added Stickles and doodling.

Another tag made with Distress Oxide inks, embossing powder and rhine stones. The stars are from the 'Universal' set.

And my favourite because it is so different, with metal flakes, thread, embossing powder, sequin stars and inks. I added some snowflakes from the 'Snow is falling' set here..

I have used the following stamps:

...dance with fairies...

Hello everyone,

Today it is my turn to try and inspire you to use those fabulous UmWow Studio Chipboards. I have only used one in my Art Journal page but it is very effective !

I wanted to use similar colours to the background I have used, which is a gelli printed piece of paper.

So I used three different embossing powders but in the end I had to use some markers too to get it how I wanted it.

I added some green and later also some orange (no photo, sorry).

Better with a little green...

Here is the finished page again. I also used a stencil and first I used Carved Pumpkin distress ink to stencil the hearts but didn't like that too much so I wiped most of it off again. I then took my white pen, put the stencil back on and drew around the faint orange hearts; I do like the result.

I added some paper, lace ribbon, some stamped and cut out flowers and the little girl is also a stamp. Isn't that amazing. Looks like a photo, doesn't it. (All stamps used by VivaLasVegaStamps)

Here you can see the orange I added to the viewfinder. I used Pitt Big Brush markers for this because it dries permanent.

I love this sentiment !

I have used the vintage viewfinder; you find it HERE

and the heart stencil

You'll find it HERE
