 Hi everyone, 

Today sees the start of yet another challenge over at Country View Challenges. This month Monika is hosting and her chosen theme is "Birthday card/gift". I have made a card with my most favourite girl by Janet Klein for AALL & Create: Miss Dee. It is a really simple and quick card which is good when you realise you forgotten to make one for your wine-loving friend! 

Here is how I made this really simple and quick card:

I started off by colouring Miss Dee. I used Copic Markers for this because for me this is the quickest way of colouring. 

Next I cut a panel out of some designer paper and rolled over some white paint with a brayer. While that was still slightly wet I sprinkled on some embossing powder and heated it. It has now some patchy spots of embossing. 

Next I added some washi tape, also by AALL & Create, to stand her on and some in the top right hand corner for balance. 

I stamped two of the sentiments of this set, also by Janet Klein for AALL & Create and cut them out. I adhered them to the panel.

I added some black lines under the words and adhered the panel onto a white card.

Hello everyone, 

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard using Dorothy and Toto. 

This card was made with design paper; I just added a little paint and stamping. I printed Dorothy, Toto and the sentiment and coloured Dorothy and the dog with Copic Markers. I cut them out and adhered them to my card. The stamps I used are all from AALL & Create.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone, 

For today's Vera Lane Studio projects I have made a postcard and an ATC.

This postcard was made with 'van Gogh'; this set came out this week and has a few other images like a chair and a window. I printed, coloured and cut Vincent out and then started work on the postcard background. I used a flower stencil to do a print, added paints with a brayer and some stamping. Next I put some washi tape down to stand him on and some pieces in the top right corner for balance. 

I then placed Vincent on top of the washi tape and added a sentiment from the set.

This ATC was made with one of the girls from the Dailies set. I printed and coloured her, then cut her out. The background is a piece of designer paper that I cut out of a 12 x 12 sheet. I added a sentiment and that was it !

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made two ATC's. 

Isn't this reindeer cute? I love his/her jumper ! I printed the reindeer, then coloured with Copics and cut it out. The ATC is just a piece of designer paper from an old Christmas collection. I added some beige acrylic paint where the Reindeer was going to go so it would stand out more. I then added the washi and a piece of the reverse side of the designer paper and put the reindeer on it. Lastly I added the sentiment which is from the same set.

I can't get enough of these 'scary' cuties and had to use this one. She is called Onion for obvious reasons, lol. I printed and coloured her with Copic Markers and cut her out. The background is a piece of gelli print from my stash on which I added some stamping, doodling and washi tape. I placed her on top of the washi to ground her and added the sentiment which consists of clippings stickers by Tim Holtz.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone, 

Happy Thursday ! For today's post I have made a tag and a journal page. 

This lovely girl is from the newly released set "New Dress". I printed her twice, once on white card stock and once on design paper. I only used the dress part of the one I printed on the Design paper and paper pieced it on top of her. I did add some shading with a Copic Markers. The rest of her was coloured as usual with Copics. 

The background is a mop up from the gelli plate. I chose this part of the print because it went well with the yellows and greens in her dress and eye. 

I added some background stamping with Janet's stamp sets #338 and #404 by AALL & Create. I also added some black paint around the edges.

This journal page is made with one of the Journal faces. This is an older set. I coloured her and cut her out. I then made a background for her with Distress Oxide inks (Speckled egg and Vintage Photo) and put her on it. I added a crown from the stamp set #412 by Janet via AALL & Create.

I used a piece of inked paper, stamped it with texts (#338) and stamped the crown on it. I then cut it out and added it on her head. The sentiment is made of a Small Talk sticker by Tim Holtz.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone, 

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard and a journal page. 

This cutie came out this week and is called 'Just Jump'. I placed her on a background that I made with iZink glazes after I heat embossed an AALL & Create background stamp on it. I added some more stamping and inked some of the edges. I think those pastel colours look nice. I printed the jumping girl and coloured her with Copic markers, trying to keep to the same pastel colours. I then cut her out and placed her on the card. I added the sentiment and that finished it off.

The second project is a journal page. I used an older image from the set 'Hump day' which is still available on request. I inked and stamped a piece of Design paper from my stash and then set out to colour the dromedary; then cut him out and placed him on the paper after adding some washi tape for him to stand on. The sentiment is a snarky sticker by Tim Holtz.

Hello everyone,

and Happy Thursday! For today's post I have made 2 postcards. I love making postcards but I do wonder what I am going to do with them all. Maybe make them into a book? What do you all do with your postcards?

This first card was made with a piece of pattern paper on which I brayered some white paint to make her stand out more. She is new and is called "Sassy". I coloured her with my Copic Markers, cut her out and then placed her on the card. The sentiment is from the same set but I only used a few words of it.

This card was made with a background that had been in my stash for literally years... and I think I have another one like it. It was made with Brushos. I have since got rid of the Brushos as I really didn't like them. Too unpredictable for me. Anyway, I coloured the bird with Copics and cut it out. I then placed it on the card on top of some washi tape and a strip of design paper. The sentiment is from the same set.

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my inspiration post for Vera Lane Studio. For today's post I have made two postcards. I still love making postcards because they are nice and small. For the first I have used this weeks new released Harry Potter and for the second an older set called Little Gangstas.

I have used designer paper for both cards as I have stacks of it and it never gets used. One of my new Year's resolutions ! lol

Today I have made a postcard and an ATC with the lovely Treena by Vera Lane Studio.
She is fabulous to use for your Christmas cards if not this year then next year ! I decide every year to start making Christmas cards just after Christmas but I never do and every year it is a little bit of a race to get them all done.

This postcard was made with a gel print. I added some collage with pattern paper and washi tape and heat embossed some little stars. Little Treena was printed, coloured and cut out. I adhered her and the sentiment from the same set to the postcard. 

This Treena is upside down because she had too much eggnog or sherry ! Or both ! lol

I printed her, coloured her and cut her out and adhered her to this ATC which is a piece of gelli print.

Today at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday to you ! It is Vera Lane Studio Day again today and I have a postcard and an art journal page to share.

This is a simple piece of Kraft Card stock on which I glued a strip of designer paper and did some heat embossing. I then added some white paint around the edges. Ragamuffin was coloured with Copic Markers and cut out. I adhered her onto a strip of washi tape. I added the sentiment from the same set and that was that !

This AJ page was made with a piece of Designer paper on which I brayered white and violet paint. I added Frida from the Frida Kahlo Collage set and a heart from the Dia de los Muertos Collage set. The sentiment is a Frida quote. I also added some folded book paper and topped that with a scrap of the background paper.

Dreams

Hello everyone!

Happy Thursday ! It is my turn to show you some inspiration with the Vera Lane Studio Digital images again ! I have made 2 postcards today; one with the latest release called 'Adorabelle' and one with Frida.

This one was made with a piece of paper that came in a Stampington magazine called 'Stampers' Sampler'. I used one of the coloured images of this new set and placed her on some washi tape. I did coloured in her face, wings and legs. The sentiment came from the Tim Holtz 'Clippings' stickers.

This postcard was made with a mop up from the gelli plate. I coloured Frida from the set Frida and friends and cut her out. I adhered her to the card together with a quote I found on the internet.

For today's Vera Lane Studio DT post I have made a postcard and an ATC.

I bought some designer paper in a sale and thought it would be perfect to use with Vera Lane Studio and here is the first postcard. I added some acrylic paint in the right bottom corner and some washi tape for Charlie to stand on.

For this happy little boy I chose a gelli printed piece of paper and cut it to ATC size. He was printed, coloured and cut out. I used a Tim Holtz sticker as a sentiment and added some washi tape for him to stand on.

For today's Vera Lane Studio Post I have made three projects. All three are quite simple and straightforward because I used design paper for the backgrounds.

This is the first one, a postcard with the latest new release called Barista !

There is also a ready coloured girl in this set but I decided to use the other one and colour her with my Copics. I find this very relaxing. The sentiment is also from this set and I adhered both images to the background which is a piece of design paper with a scrap at the bottom.

I used one of the 'Wee Witches'. Again I coloured her, added a pumpkin from the Jack o' Lantern set and adhered them, together with some washi tape on a piece of design paper. I really like how this turned out.
