This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For my project for Vera Lane Studio, the last one for this year, I have made a postcard with two older sets. The moon came from 'Cute Couple' and the girl is from thee set 'Wintery Things'.

The background was made with a gelli plate and acrylic paint. The images were coloured with Copic Markers and glued in place. Lastly I added some Clippings Stickers by Tim Holtz.

You'll find the images in the Etsy Shop HERE.

If sold out they will be available on request.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's project for Vera Lane Studio I have made a 6" x 6" journal page. I have used and older image from the set 'Wanderlust'.

First I coloured the girl with my Copic Markers and cut her out. I then made the background using an AALL & Create stencil and alcohol inks on the gelli plate. When it was done I thought it was so nice that I didn't really want to add anything to it. So I left it as it was. I cut a circle from vellum with a die to make her stand out a little more, added a stamp and a clippings sticker.
Lastly I added the sentiment and used a marker to add some shading here and there.

You'll find this fabulous travelling girl HERE

Exotic

  Hi Everyone,

For today's VivaLasVegaStamps! project I have made a postcard!

And here's how I made it:

First I dunked the card in to Distress Oxide inks that I smooshed on my craft sheet. I did add some water too.

Next I stamped the background and inked the edges of the card.

I then stamped the focal image on the card because the one I stamped to colour, I cannot cut out perfectly so I just glue it over the top of this one. Looks perfect !

Here I have glued the coloured and cut out image over the top of the one on the card.

I have used the following stamps:

I also used:
Distress Oxide Inks
Copic Markers
Clippings sticker
Washi tape

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard.

After messing about with different background I resorted to using designer paper. This is by Stamperia. I added some white paint and pink stamping along the edges mainly. I printed this cute little girl and coloured her and cut her out. I used Copic Markers to colour her. The sentiments are Tim Holtz Clippings stickers.

This little girl is from the 'Cookie Swap' set and you'll find it HERE.

Art journal pages for VivaLasVegaStamps!

  Hello everyone,

For today's VivaLasVegaStamps! post I have made a double artjournal spread. It is very colourful so get your sunglasses out!

Here's how I made this:

I used these Distress Oxide inks and a blending tool to add colour to my pages. I put the ink straight on the paper of my art journal. This is a Moleskine sketch book.

Next I dropped some water on it.

I then stamped the background using the same inks and some darker shades of the same colours.

Adding some black stamping and inking around the edges to frame the pages and some white splatters from a paint pen.

The focal. I love this stamp. She looks very regal.

I added some pink to her cheeks. The sentiments are clippings stickers by Tim Holtz.

I have used the following stamps:

Apart from the stamps I used:
Distress Oxide inks in rainbow colours
Versafine Clair Nocturne ink
White paint pen

Mischief

 Hello everyone,

For today's project for AALL & Create I have made a Halloween themed postcard. I used a brand-new stamp for the background and some old ones of the focal points.

Here's how:

I started with a piece of 6" x 4" card stock. I sprayed some Distress Oxide Sprays on my craft sheet together with some water and dipped my card into it, drying it in between colours.
Next I toned it down with white paint and a brayer.

Next I stamped this spiderweb with bats and heat embossed it with clear powder. This stamp is brand new by Bipasha.

I chose these little Quirks by Olga because I love them. They come out once a year! I coloured them with Copic Markers and added some white pen details to some of their clothes. I then cut them out.

I shuffled them about for a while but then glued them down where I thought they would look the cutest.

I added some Halloween Clippings stickers and shading underneath  their feet to finish off the card.

I have used the following stamps:

#572 - Spooky Sky by Bipasha Bk
#104 - Quirks Mini by Olga Heldwein
#73 - Quirks by Olga Heldwein

Little things

Hi everyone,

As you might know there is an AALL & Create One Day Special today on HOCHANDA tv with Bipasha's fabulous designs. I have made lots of samples and this is one of them. It is a Zine book which is made of one approx A4 piece of paper. If you'd like to make one, just put Zine book in the search bar on YouTube and you'll find lots of tutorials.
This is mine. I have no step by step photos but I thought I'd show you all the same. It is amazing what you can do with a piece of paper.

Here are the times of the shows :

Saturday 13th June 8AM, 12 midday and 4PM UK time
Saturday 13th June 9AM, 1PM and 5PM Dutch time

I made the front and the back of the book of Tim Holtz' worn wallpaper. This one is from the Halloween set. I added gesso and stamped the flowers on it and coloured them.

Page 2 and 3
All pages inside the book have been made in the same way. After folding and gluing the book I added gesso with a pallet knife making sure to leave bits of the pattern paper I used visible. I added stencilling, stamping, washitape and a focal image that was stamped straight on the page and on book paper. Part of it was cut out and glued over the top. I added some Tim Holtz clippings as sentiment on each little spread. Here is the rest:

Remember this

Hello everyone,

welcome to the second post this month for Country View Challenges. There is still time to play along with our challenge for February which is all about 'splatters, splashes and drips'.  Just make sure to read the rules first. You will find them and all the other information about it HERE.
I have made an art journal page for this but it was not without trouble. I couldn't seem to add any of the splatters as it all seemed to soak straight into the paper I used. But in the end you can see the splatters and some of the drips so it is all good.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

and Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made two postcards.

This is this weeks release called "Haircut". I thought she would look lovely with a crown so I drew her one. I added a doily and a clippings sticker on a postcard sized piece of pattern paper and stuck her on too.

You'll find Haircut HERE.

...and because today is Halloween I made a 'wicked' postcard too. I used a gel print as a background and added some doodling, splattering and brayering, all with white. I then added Sally (from the set Sally and Jack) and the dog (From the set Cat and Canine) together with a word chip by Tim Holtz.

You'll find Sally and her mate Jack HERE.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday and welcome to my blogpost for Vera Lane Studio. For today I have made a journal page with the newly released 'Land and sea' and a tag with an older image called 'Sit and think'. Here is the fist project:

Isn't this little mermaid cat fabulous ! lol, I coloured her with pencils and then made a background for her with old fashioned Distress Inks. I added the cat and the sentiment, which is from the same set, and added some more pencil along the words.

You find 'Land & Sea' HERE

This tag was made with Mixed media paper which I coloured again with Distress Inks. I used two browns and a tiny bit of orange. She was coloured with coloured pencils and added on some washi tape. I used a Tim Holtz clipping sticker because I thought it was very fitting.

You find this lovely girl HERE

Cheval

Hello everyone,

Every now and then I like to revisit old stamp sets and that is what I did today for Katzelkraft.
I made a mini artjournal spread:

This was great fun to make. I started with Distress Oxide Inks and a blending tool. I used Carved Pumpkin, Abandoned Coral and Fired Brick. I splashed some water over it to get it to oxidise. Next I used a stencil and gel medium to get some texture. I then added gesso with my fingers and with a brayer to accentuate the texture. I stamped the background and then stamped the horse and the word Cheval on book paper. I added a wing to the horse as well. I did add some shading to the horse and the wing and glued them onto the page on top of some washi tape. The rest of the washi tape is along the pages. The stickers are by Tim Holtz.

I used the following stamp sets:
KTZ65 - Da Vinci Vitruve
