Cluck, cluck..

 Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing an AJ page I made for AALL & Create. I really like this chicken in his boots, he is so quirky!

and here's how:

I stamped and coloured the chicken, I used watercolour markers and coloured pencils. I then cut him out without all the bits around him.

Next I did a gelli print with this stencil. It came out grungy because my gelli plate is really dirty. But I like it. I usually brayer over white paint anyway so any bits I don't like will disappear!

Next I stamped the background. I wanted some red as an accent colour and after I stamped I cut out the red crossed from ......

....this washi tape and stuck them inside the open cross stamps.

I then added some lines around the page and stamped the chicken straight on my page. I am going to glue the cut out one over the top so all the missing bits are back!

And here it is all finished. I used a part of another stamp of the same set as a sentiment.

I have used the following materials:

Stencil #145 - Jumbo ABC's by Bipasha Bk
Stamps:
#559 - Feathered friends by Bipasha Bk
#489 - Wisecracks by Autour de Mwa

Washi tape: #4 - Encrypt by Autour de Mwa

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio DT post I have made an art journal spread with the newly released Marine Mammals set. I have also a VIDEO for those who want to see how I made it.

This cute fish and his fellow Marina Mammals came out this week and you'll find them HERE.

If you would like to watch the video click HERE of go via the link below..

The second project is a postcard that I made with an older set called 'Bit by bit'.

I coloured her with pencils and then cut her out. The background is a piece of design paper on which I put some white paint with a brayer. I added some washi tape and a sentiment and that finished it off.

You'll find Bit by bit HERE.

We are the weirdos

Hello everyone,

I don't know about you but this strange world we live in at the moment made me want to do a different, for me, weird project, so I have made a postcard with a Halloween theme for VivaLasVegaStamps!.. :o)

Here's how I made it:

I heat embossed a text stamped and the spiderweb on a piece of Mixed Media card stock, using white for the text and silver for the web.

Next I dunked the card into these colours Distress Oxide inks, drying in between.

Here is a detail of how it looks.

Next I added a little black stamping and inked the edges of the card with a blending tool and the brown Distress Oxide. I then stamped the raven and the sentiment on a piece of paper. I coloured the white bits of the bird with pencils.

And here it is all put together. I matted the sentiment onto black card stock before adhering it and also added some doodle lines along some of the edges.

I have used the following stamps:

Other materials:
MM card stock
scrap of black card stock
WOW embossing powder in white and silver
Distress Oxide inks in Ground Espresso, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmelade
Versafine Clair Ink - Nocturne
Prisma colour pencils

This week at Vera lane Studio

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday, I hope you are all well.
For this week's post I have made a tag and a postcard. The tag was made with this week's release called 'Be You' and the postcard with one of the rats from the set 'Oh rats' that was released last week.

This tag was cut from a piece of paper that I painted pink stripes on. I added a little bit of stamping with pink ink too. She was coloured with Copics, coloured pencils and cut out. I adhered her to the tag and added the sentiment. With a graphite pencil I added some shading under her and the sentiment. You will find this set HERE

How cute is he ! lol. He looks a little lost. I cut a piece of pattern paper to the size 6"x4" and added some paint with a brayer. The rat was coloured and cut out; I used Copic Markers and coloured pencils. I then cut him out and adhered him on the card after adding som washi tape for him to sit on. I used a pencil to add some shading under the words and the rat. Lastly I added some ink with a blending tool along the edges of the card.

You will find Oh rats HERE
