The most wonderful time

 Hello everyone,

I have one more Christmas project to share. This one is a Memory Dex card in Christmas colours.

Here's how:

I used washi tape #2 to cover the edges of this piece of Card stock ready to die cut.

I used Die #72 to cut out the Memory dec card. I also cut out the piece that goes on top.

Next I stamped the focal images I planned to use. I used sets #1216, 1195 and #1192.

I coloured the images with Copic markers and then cut them out.

I then started work on the background. I made a gelli print with stencil #126 and Versafine Clair in Avocado.

I cut the bottom of the cover die again, this time out of a piece of left over Design Paper from set #11.

Next was stamping the background. I used sets #1162, #366 and #1110 with Versafine Clair inks in Avocado, Strawberry and Nocturne. So now all the elements for this Memory Dex card are ready. Time to put everything together.

And here it is.

Happy Birthday

 Hello everyone,

Today I have a birthday card to share. I made this one for AALL & Create and I used one of Janet's little peeps.

Here's how:

First I stamped the girl I was going to use as my focal point, coloured her and then cut her out.

Next I cut a piece of card stock that is slightly smaller than the card. I coloured it with oil pastels en then added some white paint with a brayer over the top to tone it down. I also added some stencilling with Archival ink.

Next: I stamped the background randomly with the same Archival inks (Magenta Hue and Saffron) and Versafine Clair Nocturne.

I then drew a line along the edges and added some washi tape.

I then put the girl on the washi tape and added the sentiment.

I have used the following AALL & Create materials:

Washi tape : #19 - Wishy Washy by Janet Klein
Stencil: #85 - Abundance by Olga Heldwein
Stamps:
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#494 - X or O by Janet Klein
#666 - Everyday Sentiments by Janet Klein
#677 - Flower Eye by Janet Klein

It's the little things.. a mixed media project

Hello everyone,

and welcome to another project for AALL & Create. Today I have used lollypop sticks to make a little wall decoration. I have used 10 sticks; 8 laid out together and two glued at the back across to keep them together.

And here is how:

After I glued the two sticks on the back of the front eight, I added texture paste with this stencil. I then added a layer of white gesso and after that dried I played with Infusions, Nuvo sparkling powders and some of the Cosmic Shimmer powders.

After all that dried I added some stamping. I also added staples in every stick because of all the water I used and then heating with the heating tool the glue came undone.

of course I had to tone it down with white paint and a brayer...

Next I cut this out and added green Versafine Clair ink..

I added clear and green embossing powder in separate layers. I like the result.

I added more stamping and also white splatters with a paint pen. I also put some green ink over the white paint, not sure if I like it.

Here I have added the die cut pieces.

I decided to use one of these little girls as a focal point so I stamped her and coloured her with my Copic Markers. I also stamped the sentiment from the Puppy Toys set.

And here is it all put together. I added more white paint with a dry brush method behind her to make her stand out more. You can still see all the texture and some of the colour.

I hope you enjoyed my process. I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil:
#113 - Lotza Squares

#372 - Textured elements by Olga Heldwein
#338 - Background Noise - Janet Klein
#375 - Reverse Squares - Autour de Mwa
