A lovely surprise

Hello everyone,

Today I have a different post. My lovely friend Lynne Moncrieff sent me a fabulous gift just before I went on holiday in February and, of course with her permission, I would like to share it with you.

This is a yummy wall hanger ! I love it and it is hanging in my room so I can look at it every day !

Here's a close up of the star.

Thank you so much Lynne ! You have spoilt me !

Fragile ocean

Hello everyone,

and welcome to another Challenge at the Stampotique Designers' Challenge blog. This time it is all about text backgrounds. We hope you'll have a go as we'll and play along.

Here's my postcard :

This is a gelli print which was done on a menu of a restaurant.
I stamped the fish on the card directly and also on a piece of blank book paper. I then cut out some bits and adhered them to the one on the card.  I then made the sentiment from two different sentiment stamps and adhered them also. The barcode stamp finished it off.

I used the following stamps:

Adore

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blogpost for Um Wow Studio. Today I have another art journal to share. Yes,  I know, boring... but that is what I like to do...

This time I used my pencil to add some circles and some writing (thank you DeeDee for the idea, I would have never tried this if I hadn't seen you do it!)
Here's how I treated the chipboard:

I applied some acrylic paint with a brayer..

Lightest colour first..

Then adding a little of the dark at the bottom.

over the top I added some holographic embossing powder...

Look how that sparkles !

Here are some detail pictures...

sparkly !

Wasn't she gorgeous ! I don't know why I am obsessed with her but I am... lol

Here she is again...

And the finished journal page.

I used this chipboard:

You will find it HERE

A trio of cards

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blog where today I am sharing three cards I made with Visible Image Stamps. These are all from the newest release.
All three cards have a gelli printed base. The first and third card are from the same gelli print. The middle one is a different one.

The sentiment here was heat embossed twice with two different colours of embossing powder and you can just see the dark powder peeking out at the edges....

She looks so serene, doesn't she ?

And this one is really simple. I so loved that background that I didn't want to cover it up too much...

I have used the following stampsets:
Card one:

Card two:

Card three:

Tag duo with Oxide Inks and Visible Image stamps

Hello everyone,
Hallo allemaal,

and welcome to my blog where for today I have made two tags with Distress Oxide Inks and Visible Image stamps. I love the inks although they take a little bit of getting used to as they are so different to the normal Distress Inks. This was my first play and I think they came out nice. I hope this post will give you some inspiration to get out your inks and stamps and play !

I cut the tags with a die.

For this tag I smooshed the inks on my craft mat and mopped them up, dried the tag and repeated until I was happy with the result.
To finish I used white and black acrylic paints for splatters and a touch of stencilling and Visible Image stamps. A list of all materials is at the bottom of this post.

The green label was made in the same way.

Hier you can see the cool effects of the Oxide Inks. Especially the Cracked Pistachio has at least two green shades and a blue in it. They appear once you spray with water.
Again I have used a stencil and white acrylic paint and some lovely Visible Image Stamps.

Approach with caution

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blog where I am sharing a tag for the second week of the 'tag it' challenge for the Stampotique Designers' Challenge blog. I used another of the new stamps for March...
We would love to see you make something with a tag too, you could make one or add one to your project.

I cut this tag out of white card stock and then used a brayer and two shades of blue acrylic paint to colour the tag. I then added some stamping. The circles were stamped with black Archival ink and the baroque swirls were heat embossed with light blue WOW embossing powder.
The little chap is called "Cranium" and it a new stamp for March by Daniel Torrente.
I coloured him with Copics, cut him out and adhered him to the tag.
I then stamped the sentiment, cut it into pieces and adhered it too.

I used the following stamps:

I added some faux stitch lines and a piece of ribbon and that was that.

I used the following stamps:

Man in the moon

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blogpost for Um Wow Studio where today I have a tag to share with you :

I have used 7Dots paper from the Writer's block series for this. I glued some pieced to a #10 tag and scraped gesso and Art Anthology Sorbet paints over it. I also added some shading with a distress Crayon.

Here's how I treated the chipboards.

I used the man in the moon for this..

I heat embossed the solid piece with a light yellow embossing powder. I added two layers.

In the end I thought it was too yellow and I added some shading on top with a Big Brush Marker.

For the outline I also heat embossed this but used an ochre yellow and then also decided it was not quite right so I added some gold over the top.

Here you can see them together...

I had these stars left over from another project. They were gessoed and heat embossed with a holographic embossing powder. They have a lovely glittery finish. I added some brown Big Brush Marker here and there to vary the colour a little.

And here you can see it all put together... I added some bandage which I stapled on and added some embroidery stitches. I used the same fabric at the top as a ribbon. The sentiment is from an old sticker set from 7Dots Studio called destination unknown.

I have used these Chipboards:

Whatever..

Hello everyone,

There is a new challenge over at the Stampotique Designers' Challenge Blog. It is 'Ribbon or lace' and I really struggled with this one ... in the end I just added a piece of lacy ribbon on the side of my art journal page...

This paper is a mop up page from my gelli plate. Sometimes these turn out better than the actual prints... On the print you see two new stamps ! The white script and the girl...
I stamped the background a little first, the script was white embossed and then stamped Elaina on white card stock and coloured her with Copic Markers. I cut her out and glued her on the page.
It was then that my struggle started .. I had out my stash of ribbons and lace and couldn't decide what to do or where to put it.. lol
In the end I settled for this piece which was green to start, I painted it with gesso before stapling it to my page.
The sentiment is a really old one but I though it fitted her face perfectly !

I used the following stamps:

I hope you'll play along with us this week! Just remember to real the rules before submitting !

the road not taken

Hello everyone,

I have an art journal page to share with you today. I have made this for the VivaLasVegaStamps! DT. I've had this elephant in my stash forever and I thought it was time to get him out !

The base is a gelli print I made earlier and on top of that I added some stamping and stencilling. The elephants were stamped on separate white paper and cut out. I adhered them behind each other on the page as if they were following each other. The bird is a Sandpiper with very long legs and beak which I cut off to make him into something else... lol

I have used the following stamps:
