Think Strong

 Hello everyone,

Fot this week's AALL & Create project I have made a Memory Dex Card.

Here's how I made this:

First I cut out the memory dex card with die #49 - Spring Sprouts.

I then used a blending tool and Distress Oxide Inks to colour the card. I used: Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkins and Kitsch Flamingo. I then splashed some water on it and dried it with kitchen towel.

Next I used stencil #58 - Mock-croc and white acrylic paint to add some interest to the card.

Next I used these stamps to add even more interest. I white embossed stamp #1181 and used Distress Oxide Carved Pumpkin, Kitsch Flamingo and Versafine Clair Nocturne to stamp the two other stamps.

One of the images I was going to use was the Big Top from set #1206,  I cut it with the same die so it would fit nicely on my card.

I also stamped the strong man, the arrow and the word circus (which I didn't use in the end). Sets #1206 and #1208.

After I coloured everything and cut them out I added the images to the card. I added some washitape for the strong man to stand on and also put some black Stabile All pencil here and there which I washed out with a brush and some water to get some shading.

Happy birthday

 Hello everyone!

Today, for my AALL & Create guest DT post I have made a birthday card.

Here's how:

First I heatembossed this stamp in three different places. I did make sure there weren't any straight edges by brushing away some of the embossing powder. After I melted the powder with my heat tool I dunked the card into Distress Oxide ink. I used my new Kitsch Flamingo. It is a really pretty pink.

Next I stamped the images for my focal image. I wanted the dog to hold a flower instead of the umbrella which is easy to do.

I coloured the flower and the dog with my Copic Markers and cut them out.

Next I stamped the background randomly, using the same oval stamp, some circles and some numbers. I used the same pink Distress Oxide Kitsch Flaming and a grey and black Versafine Clair to stamp. I also rubbed the black ink pad along some of the edges to frame the card.

Next I added a strip of torn washi tape to stand the dog on.

I glued the dog with his flower on the card and then used one word of each stamp set in the picture to form the sentiment 'happy birthday'. Lastly I glued the whole card panel onto a card blank.

I think it turned out cute!

I used the following AALL & Create materials:

A5 Stamping block

Stamps:
#366 - Roundly by Autour de Mwa
#483 - Happy Dog by Tracy Evans
#471 - Scripted Ovals by Bipasha Bk

In order to grow...

Hello everyone,

I was asked to make some samples for the Hochanda TV shows of AALL & Create on April 3rd and of course I made some. It is so exciting to see your samples on TV! Here's one of them:

There are no WIP photos as this was really easy to make.

I stamped the flower with VersaMark and heat embossed it with white powder. I then watercolored the flower and the area around the flower. I added stitching with my sewingmachine and lastly added the sentiment and glued the panel on a white card.

I have used stamp set:

#183 - Bouquet Small

What else ?

Hello everyone,

Today I have a card to share for Katzelkraft. I have used the "Les Rats des villes" set again. They are so cute !

I started with a piece of Bristol card stock and stamped the grungy circle on it several times. I used VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with white WOW embossing powder. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to colour the panel.
I added a tiny bit of stamping on the green and then stamped the rat, once on the panel, once on watercolour card and also the sentiment; this was only stamped on the panel.
The rat was coloured with the Zigs too and then cut out and adhered to the one on the panel.
I added some doodling around the panel and mounted it on a white card.

I have used the following stamps:

La vie Parisienne

Hello everyone,

For my DT post for Katzelkraft I have made a card. It has a gelli printed base; I am totally addicted to gelli printing !!!

On this gelli print I did some background stamping and I also added the swirl on the left. I used VersaMark ink and white WOW embossing powder for this. The two animal figures were stamped separately on white paper and cut out. I adhered them to the card, added the sentiment and a white line around the card ....et voila !

I used the following stamps :

The rest of your life..

Hello everyone,

Today for my DT post for Katzelkraft I have made a postcard.

The background was made with Brusho's. I used white embossing powder to get the big background stamp to stand out... I stamped the bird, coloured him with watercolour markers and cut him out. I adhered him on top of the clock face. The sentiment was stamped and cut into strips and also adhered to the card. I used a blue watercolour marker to add some colour here and there.
A black line around the card finished it off.

Wot???? No colour ??

Hello everyone,

and happy Stampotiqe Challenge Day ! It is Nellie's turn today and she challenged us to only use black and white. As you can imagine that is a real struggle for me as I love, love colour !
This is what she said :

"I challenge you to use only black and white in your project or card".

Here's mine:

In the end I had fun making this postcard although it wasn't easy. I started with a piece of black card stock and heat embossed the script on it with extra fine white embossing powder by WOW. I made some flags by sticking black and white washi tape on card stock and cutting them into shape. I stapled these to the card with my tiny attacher. Next I stamped 'Checkers', and cut him out leaving a small white border all around so he would stand out more. I adhered him onto the card.
Lastly I typed the sentiment, went around it with a fine tipped pen and adhered it to the card too. The black panel was then adhered onto a white postcard base.

I only used two stamps for this :

Thank you so much for stopping by today ! I hope you will play along with us. You might just win a $30 gift certificate for the Stampotique Online shop HERE.

When the rain begins to fall.

Hello everyone,

For the monthly ATC swap over at the Craftorij,  organised by Wini, I made these ATC's for the theme "rain".

I stamped the zebra on the ATC and on some masking paper. I then cut out the one on the masking paper and stuck it onto the one on the ATC. Next I stamped the drops over the top with Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. Still leaving the mask in place, I  took a blending tool and some Distress inks in greys and blues and coloured the background.
Next I took off the mask and coloured the zebra lightly with colour pencils. I then stamped the sentiment on a piece of separate card stock. I only used part of it. I cut it apart and coloured rainbow colours on the word 'rainbow', also using colour pencils.
Lastly I glued the sentiment on the ATC.

I used stamps from :
Katzelkraft, for the Zebra and the raindrops
Carabelle for the sentiment

Hopefully the recipients will like them.

Fun, fun fun...

Hello everyone,

and happy Stampotique Wednesday. Yes, time for another challenge and this week it is Coby who chose the theme of 'tags' and this is what she said:

"I do love tags but I use them too often. So please show me a tag or a tag on your project".

Here's mine :

I painted this tag, that I cut out of white card stock, with turquoise and white acrylic paints. After it dried I glued on some book text and dry brushed it with white paint again. Next I used a green Big Brush Marker to get some green on there.
I used two script stamps to make the background a little more interesting. I used green Archival ink and VersaMark and white embossing powder for this. Looks pretty good I think. Next I stamped the circles with black Archival ink and doodled the lines around the tag.
Then the fun part began... I stamped the turtles on white card stock and coloured them with a mixture of Copic Markers and Polychomos coloured pencils. I cut them out and adhered them to the tag. Lastly I stamped the sentiment, cut it out and adhered it too. A few pieces of ribbon finished off this tag.
I hope you will play along with us this week. There are two $30 vouchers for the online store to be won. Just remember NO digi's and only one entry per person per challenge.

I used the following stamps:

Specimen

Hello everyone,

Today is my turn over at the VivaLasVegaStamps! Blog and I made a card :

This is the finished project and here is how I made it :

I painted a piece of white card stock with gesso.

Next I mixed Primary Elements with soft gel Medium and

painted my card with that....

I then sprayed some Lindy's spray ink on it and it gave me this mottled effect which I thought was nice.

Then I got my stamps out !

The bell jar was stamped straight on the card along with some numbers in the background. I used black Archival ink for the jar and grey for the numbers.

The rest of the images were stamped on separate card stock, I used Memento ink for the bunny and the bee as I was going to colour with Copic Markers. The sentiment words, of which I only used one in the end, were stamped on black card stock using Versamark ink. I then heat embossed them with white embossing powder.

Here is how it looked after colouring...

I then decided to stamp the jar on acetate also; I used StaZon ink for this. I got rid of the back rim with a cotton bud and some StaZon cleaner and cut it out.  Next I glued the bunny on the card.

I then adhered the acetate jar over the top. The bee was glued over the acetate, so was the sentiment. I also drew some doodle lines on the edges of the card panel...

Lastly I adhered the panel to a card blank.

Here is a view from the side so you can see the shiny acetate. It looks like bunny is really in a glass jar...

I used the following stamps:

ATC Trade for May-June 2015

Hello everyone,

For the Stampotique ATC swap the theme this time was Metallic - Shiny. I made these :

I started with glueing book text on the cards, then ripping off what didn't stick very well. You get a nice distressed base like that. Next I painted gesso over it. You can still see the text here and there very faintly. I then took  Lindys Stamp Gang sprays and coloured the cards, I used a blue and a brown. I also went around the edge with a brown ink pad. I then stamped the spider web with Versa Mark and heat embossed them with copper embossing powder.
I used Stampotique's 'Head' as the focal image. He was stamped on white card stock, coloured and cut out. The wings are metal butterflies that I cut in half. I coloured them lightly with brown and blue alcohol inks. Head was glued on his wings and then the whole image was adhered to the ATC with dimensional adhesive. Lastly I added the sentiments, which are Tim Holtz Chit Chat sticker.
