Friends, little book

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a little book made for AALL & Create. I have used design paper as a base so it was fairly easy and quick to put together.

Here's how:

This is a so called Zine book. It is folded from an A4 sized piece of paper. Search Zine book on YouTube and there will be many tutorials.

First, I bartered white paint over the pages and the front and back. I then added stencilling with Distress Oxide ink. I used Worn Lipstick.

Next I added stamping.

I then added washi tape along some of the edges.

Next, I stamped the heart and the word Love. In the end I just used the heart on the front of the book and used the word 'friends' as a title.

I decided to add more washi tape, this time to go underneath the heart.

I then stamped the animals I was going to use and coloured them with Distress Ink and a water brush.

Here they are..

Front of book.
I did add some splatters.

And the pages in the book..

The back of the book.

I have used the following materials:

Washi tape #12 - Horticultural Layers by Tracy Evans

Stencil #39 - Lotza Dotz by Autour de Mwa

Stamps:
#366 - Roundly by Autour de Mwa
#350 - Spattered Numbers by Tracy Evans
#466 - Quirky Friends by Trace Evans
#453 - Heart Grunge by Tracy Evans

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my post for Vera Lane Studio. This week I have made two cards:

I used a background from my stash for this card. It is made with Pan Pastels and a stencil on the gelliplate.

I printed the monkey and coloured him with my Copic Markers, cut him out and adhered him to the panel. I put down some AALL & Create washitape for him to stand on. The hat and the sentiment are from the 'It's a party' collage sheet.

You find the monkey HERE
The 'It's a party' collage sheet is still available on request.

This card was made with one of the flower girls from the 'Flower Girls' collage sheet. I can't get enough of them, they are so cute. I made the background with Distress Oxide inks in Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo. I used these inks for stamping too; I used Janet's 'Background Noise' stamp set for this.

You'll find the Flower Girls HERE

Buddies having fun

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing another Guest Design Project for AALL & Create. I have made a journal spread this time. I started out with journalling and it is easily still my favourite thing to do.

Here's how I made it:

I started off painting the pages. I used a lemon yellow for the left page and the same yellow and a green for the right page. I used a paint brush and partly my fingers for blending the yellow and the green. I then took a brayer and rolled over orange paint on the left edge and turquoise on the right, top and bottom edges. I then used a stencil with Distress Oxide ink and water and 'stamped' it in blue on the right and orange on the left.

Next I stamped the pages randomly using similar coloured Versafine Clair inks. I also heat embossed the crossed with white powder for some more light and white on the pages.

I then added some grey and black stamping.

Next, I used Tracy's new alphabet stamps to spell the word 'fun', I did this straight on the page. Tip: put your lovely stamping blocks from AALL & Create under your page, makes it easier to stamp in a bulky journal.

Next: I stamped these fab birds by Janet Klein. I coloured them with Copic Markers and cut them out.

I then put it all together using some black paint on the edges here and there and adding the birds. I used some washi tape too.

I have used the following stamps, stencil and washi tape:

Washi tape #2 - Inspire by Autour de Mwa
Washi tape #6 - Crafty by Autour de Mwa

Stencil #59 - Weathered Tiles by Autour de Mwa

Stamp #338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
Stamp #372 - Textural Elements by Olga Heldwein
Stamp #385 - Scripted Squares by Bipasha Bk
Stamp #464 - Strange Birds by Janet Klein
Stamp #456 - Snippet Alphabet by Tracy Evans

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For this weeks Vera Lane Studio project I have made a book mark and two ATC's.

The bookmark was made with the this week released set 'Coffee, tea, books'. It is all one layer except for the sentiment. I resized and printed the images, piling them on top of each other, then coloured everything including the background with my Copic Markers.
You'll find this set HERE.

These two ATC's were made with the Collage sheet 'Flower Girls'. I accidentally cut the second one too small but only noticed after I finished them. So I decided to leave it.
The backgrounds were made with alcohol inks on the gelli plate. The Sentiments are Tim Holtz small talk stickers.
You'll find the collage sheet HERE

Embrace love

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create GDT post I have made a card. I have used an older stencil and one of Tracy's brand-new stamp sets.

and here is how:

I made a gelli print with this stencil and alcohol inks. This is great fun but makes a terrible mess of your stencils..
You put the stencil on your gelli plate, drop the alcohol ink over the top, I used a green and a blue, use a brayer to roll over the stencil. Wait till it is dry, then take off the stencil. Brayer on a thin coat of whit paint and take a print.

Next I stamped this large heart on the card with Versafine Clair and heat embossed it with clear powder.

I then coloured in the heart using water colour markers. I added some grey around the heart to make it stand out more.  I used the big stamp from the set to add some random stamping too.

I stamped the word love from the same stamp set on black card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white powder because I wanted it to go with the piece of washi tape I chose.

Here you see it finished. I added some doodling with a black pen too and I really like how it came out.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:
Stencil #78 - Cloister Grille by Olga Heldwein
Washi tape #6 - Crafty by Autour de Mwa
Stamp set #453 - Heart Grunge by Tracy Evans
