I didn't want to come

Hello everyone,

For today's Katzelkraft post I have made postcard.

The card was cut from watercolour paper which I sprayed with Distress Oxide sprays. The monster was stamped on the card and on white card stock,  coloured and cut out. I then adhered him onto the card. I added some background stamping with Distress Oxide ink and lastly added the sentiment which is a snarky sticker.

I have used the following stamps:

Imagine, a tag book for AALL & Create

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create post I have made a tag book. I love making little books, it is very satisfying.

I used lots of stamps and stencils for this and here's how I made it:

I cut these tags with a die from white card stock and gave them some colour with Acrylic paints on the gelli plate. I also used the stencils with a darker shade to add some interest.

I made the tags into an accordion book with washitape; I used extra glue to make sure everything stays put. I then stamped the backgrounds. By the way the back is roughly the same, printed and stamped as well.

Next I took stamp sets #199 and @200 and stamped them on the tags and on white card stock. I also chose the sentiments and stamped those too.

I coloured all the flowers, using Copic Markers.

After cutting them out I adhered them over the top of the stamped images. I then added splatters with a white paint pen.. I love this effect.

I then added the sentiments; I matted them on black card stock to make them stand out more and added a ribbon so you can close the book:

I also decorated the front tag on the back because it shows when the book is closed. The rest of the tags are just painted and stencilled at the back.

I have used the following stamps:
#211 - Count on you by Aida Domisiewicz
#212 - Bright side by Aida Domisiewicz
#199 - Eclectic stems by Tracy Evans
#200 - Hope by Tracy Evans

Stencils:
#30 - Numbers by Autour de Mwa
#41 - Mickle Muckle by Autour de Mwa
#58 - Mock Croc by Autour de Maw

Keep calm

Hello everyone,

For today's Katzelkraft post I have made a postcard.

I made the background with watercolour paper and Distress Oxide Sprays. I did some background stamping and then stamped the images, coloured them, cut them out and adhered them onto the card. I placed all the images on some washi tape so they are not floating. Lastly I stamped the sentiment (which is a combination of two sentiments) and cut it into strips; it was also glued to the card and drew a black line around the postcard.

I have used the following stamps:

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

and Happy Thursday ! When you read this I will be on the last day of my UK holiday. This post was written in June so you see I always work way ahead; not even only for holidays. I just like to stay ahead ! Anyway, here are my Vera Lane Studio postcards for this week:

I love making postcards because they are not too large, so not too intimidating. I started off with a piece of white card stock on which I pressed a stencil which was 'smeared' with Distress Oxide ink and sprayed with water. I love this technique. Gives really fast, interesting backgrounds. Next I added the washi tape and the striped paper. The little girl was printed, coloured, cut out and adhered on the card and I wanted a funny saying to go with her so I chose this snarky sticker by Tim Holtz.

You will find this set called 'Just adorable' HERE

Next is this card with I made by dragging a light blue ink pad over the paper. Next I added pieces of a paper doily and drew a line along the edges. The images are all from Vera Lane Studio collage sheets, I simply cut them out and adhered them. These really are fabulous for quick cards !

The sun is from the "Fun" Collage sheet
The girl is from the "Back to back" Collage sheet
The sentiment is from the 'Back to back sentiments" Collage sheet

You are my favourite human

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blogpost for AALL & Create where today I have a card to share.

And here's how:

I made a gel print with this stencil and acrylic paint.

Seeing where I want the monster and the sentiment.

I stamped both images on my print and coloured the letters of the sentiment. I added some background stamping and shading under the monster.

I also stamped the monster separately and coloured him with a combination of Copic Markers and coloured pencils. I then cut the image out and adhered it over the one on the card. I added some splatters with a white paint pen and added a white line along the edges. Lastly I glued the panel onto a white card base.

I have used :
Stencil #29 by Autour de Maw
Stamp set #211 - Count on you by Aida Domisiewicz
Stamp set #216 - Monsterous by Olga Heldwein

Born to be wild

Hello everyone,

For today's VivaLasVegaStamps! post I have made an art journal spread in my mini Moleskine journal.

And here's how:

I started with gessoed pages and painted them with these acrylic paints.

Next I used this fab stamp called "Rose Bush" and heat embossed it with a very light yellow embossing powder by Lindy's Stamp Gang.

Of course I stamped the background randomly as always !

Colouring the focal image; isn't he cute !

All put together it looks like this. I added a piece of dictionary paper saying 'fox' and a sentiment that I thought would be fitting.

I have used the following stamps:

Other materials:
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylics - Zesty Zing - Limelight - Hey Pesto
Archival inks - Leaf Green - Watering can - Jet black

Lindy's Stamp gang embossing powder - Dandelion Yellow Green

White pen
Copic Markers
dictionary paper

Imagine

Hello everyone,

For today's Katzelkraft post I have made an art journal page.

I started with gluing book paper to the page, I then added beige paint, white paint and then light blue paint using a brayer. Next I stamped the flowers with Distress Oxide Ink in Broken China and used the brayer again to add the brown to the edges of the book paper. I also added a line around the page. Next I stamped the lion, on the page and on a piece of white card stock. I coloured him, cut him out and adhered him to the page. I added some pencil as shading under him. Lastly I stamped the sentiment.

I used the following stamps:

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

and Happy Thursday to you !
For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have an AJ page and a postcard to share. The art journal page is made with this weeks release 'Keep the light' and for the postcard I have used an older image from the set 'Cats and crocks'.

I made a background for this image and wasn't happy with it so I took out my gel plate and made another one. I do like this one and it is so much quicker than painting..
The images wer coloured with coloured pencils and adhered to the page together with the sentiment from this set.
You will find "Keep the light" HERE

I found the image of the cat already coloured in my stash so I decided to use that for my second project. I made a background with a piece of Kraft card and I adhered some old book paper on the top that I inked with Distress Oxide Ink in the colour Ground Espresso. I also used this ink to add the rings and the splatters.  I added washi tape and a sentiment and that was that.

You will find this set HERE

Do new things everyday.

Hello everyone,

For my post for AALL & Create today, I have made a tag.

Here's how:

First I cut a tag out of watercolour paper and added modelling paste through this fabulous stencil !

After the modelling paste was dry I sprayed the tag with Lindy's Stamping sprays. I had forgotten how much I love these sprays. I used so called 'Flat Fabios' which is a spray without any sparkle. I also love the names they give the colours: Tilt-a-wheel teal and Merry-go-round green.

When the ink was dry I added some scrapings of white acrylic paint.

Next: stamping ! yay ! I randomly stamped the background with Distress Oxide inks in the same-ish colours and added some black stamping for contrast. I also added a doodle line along the edges.

Next I stamped the flowers I was going to use. The one with the Hexagonal background is slightly bigger than the other one.

I coloured them with my Copic Markers and cut them out. I also chose the sentiment 'Do new things everyday' and stamped that too.

And here is the whole thing together. I really like how this came out but that is probably because greens and blues are one of my favourite colour combinations.

I have used the following stamps:
#211 - Count on you
#200 - Hope
#205 - Postal Rose
#206 Hexagonal Stem
Stencil:
#49 - Rota Vitae
