Sir Tim's Tag for June...

Hello everyone,

A bit late but here is my tag for June for "12 Tags of 2015". Of course I don't even have half of the stuff Sir Tim uses so I decided to go a different way whilst still trying to keep the original idea..

I used the same technique as Tim by using a stencil to create the background pattern; I used Broken China, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks. The edges of the tag were distressed and inked with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. Next I stamped the fan and stamped it again on old book pages. I coloured the one on the book pages, cut it out and adhered it over the top on the tag. A bit of corrugated cardboard, some fabric, a chit chat sticker and a label created the banner underneath the fan. I added a glitter heart (home made) for more interest.
Lastly I added some pieces of ribbon and a metal flip flop.

Thanks for stopping by !

3 cards..

Hello everyone,

For my DT post for Katzelkraft I made 3 cards. Here they are :

All these cards were made in the same way. I painted three sheets of 12' x 12' card stock with different colours of Dylusions paints and used stencils and white paint to add some interest. I also splattered white an black inks on all sheets and stamped the background with a script stamp from set KTZ 142. When I was happy with the result I cut each sheet in 6 card fronts. I used one of each colour scheme for these cards.

I used stamps of the following sets:

That is a lot of stamps right ? You can see them all in the Katzelkraft Shop HERE.

Better the devil you know.

Hello everyone,

and happy Wednesday. Another Challenge over at the Stampotique Designers' Challenge blog and the theme is 'Give wings' set by the lovely an talented Astrid.
This is what she said about her challenge :

'Every stamper has a little Frankenstein in them. Give a stamp without wings a pair of them. Have fun creating!!'

So I have made an art journal and this is it :

This page started out as a complete disaster. I painted the page red as that is the colour I associate with the devil... It looked dark and awful, lol, even after stencilling the chevrons with white paint over the top.
So I painted gesso over it and when that was dry I used Pan Pastel over the top. You can still see the red and the chevrons through it here and there. This was a bit more to my liking and I continued stencilling with red ink, stamping with white and black ink, spattering white and black ink and doodling around the page. Next I stamped Minky Girl on the page and put some washi tape where her feet were going to go. I also used some of the same tape randomly on two other places.
I also stamped Minky on white card stock and coloured her in with Copic Markers. I drew her some horns that I slid into her head, lol...
The wings were stamped on white card, silver embossed and coloured in with a red marker; I later sprayed a red Star burst spray over the top. I cut them out and decided also to cut them down as they were a bit big for little Minky. I also clear embossed Minky. Everything was then assembled on the page. The sentiment was made with sticky letters.

I used the following stamps:

If you have crazy friends...

Hello everyone,

For my DT Post over at VivaLasVegaStamps! today I have made yet another art journal. I am addicted ! lol...
This one is a bit different though and I hope you like it...

This page was started on Mixed Media Paper. I started with 'the wall'. This was done with a stencil and model paste. After this dried ( I did help with my heat gun ) I painted the page with gesso. Next I painted the wall with acrylic paint. I used a Pitt Big Brush marker to accentuate the spaces in between the 'stones'. I also used a grey Archival ink pad and my finger to get some more colour on the stones. The 'pavement' and the sky were painted also with acrylic paint. I used a few stamps to embellish the page. There will be a complete list of all the stamps I used at the bottom of this post. The Phone box, Big Ben, the girls, the 'one way' sign and the pylon were all stamped on white card stock, some of them coloured (the sign stayed black and white and the pylon was stamped with red ink). After this was done I assembled everything on the page and added the sentiment.

I used the following stamps:

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I have given you some inspiration !

Happy anniversary !

Hello everyone,

and happy Wednesday. It is a very special Wednesday today as it is our 200th challenge over at the Stampotique Designers' Challenge. Team captain Kim has chosen the theme as "celebrate, anniversary or best wishes" and this is what she said:

'Join us for our 200th challenge this week by celebrating. Create with celebration, anniversary or best wishes creation. We thank you all for joining us each week at our challenges and hope you have a much fun creating with Stampotique as we do!'

I got extra festive today as I used lots of different colours ! lol...

The card front was coloured with Dylusions paints and my fingers. Fingers are you best tools!
Next I used white and black Dylusions paints and a stencil and a creditcard to create some interest. I also used a stamp in the background. When that was all to my liking I stamped the main images, coloured them with Copic Markers, clear embossed them and cut them out. I arranged everything on the card and glued it down. For the sentiment I used 'happy' from happy birthday and typed the 'anniversary' on my old typewriter.

I used the following stamps:

Thank you for stopping by today.

May all your dreams come true ..

Hello everyone,

Today I have made a card for my DT post for Lost Coast Designs. I did use a sentiment from a different company but I have no idea whose it is as it was given to me as a present.
Anyway here's my card:

I started with a piece of white card stock and put some model paste on it through a stencil. Next I gave it a coat of gesso and when everything was dry I used some Lindys Magicals to get some colour on it. I used 'Pretty in Pink Pink', 'Gag me with a spoon gray' and 'Midnight Rendezvous'. These names crack me up....

Anyway, when everything was as I wanted it and dry I stamped the background with one of the 'ATC Backgrounds' (part of) and then stamped 'Cosmos Face' with Versafine ink and clear embossed the image. Lastly I stamped the sentiment on a bit of vellum, clear embossed it and stapled it to the card front. The card front was then adhered to a white card base.

Thank you for stopping by today !

Different...

Hello everyone,

For my DT post for Katzelkraft today I made another Art Journal. I love art journaling; I discovered it after I was finished making birthday cards for the year 2012 and was looking for other ways to use my supplies ! The rest is history as they say...

I started with Mixed Media paper on which I put some model paste through a stencil. I then brushed the page with clear gesso. Next I used Lindys Stampgang sprays. I sprayed the page with 'Pop Rock Purple' and then dripped some of the same over the top as well as a white spray called ' Frozen Jack Frost'. The grey at the top and the bottom was done with 'Magicals', also from Lindys; these are basically Mica Powders. I use a wet brush to pick them up from the pot and brush it onto the edge of the paper and then spray it with water so it runs down. The shimmer is awesome !
Next I stamped the background with a script stamp from the set with the rabbit and then stamped the rabbit, coloured him with watercolour pencils and a water brush and cut him out with an oval die. I also cut some pattern paper with a bigger die to layer under the rabbit. I adhered both the ovals to the page and then lastly doodled around the page and stamped the sentiment.

I used the following stamp sets:

Where do you want to be ?

Hello everyone,

I could't resist playing with the other Visible Image stamp I bought at the same time as Dee and Dum. It is the Cheshire Cat and he has been winking at me to use him for ages. So today I decided it was time to ink him up. I made another Art Journal:

I made the background with Dylusions paints and used a stencil, a cookie cutter and a home carved stamp to give it some more interest. I also splattered white and black ink on it. I then stamped the Cheshire Cat and the sentiment that comes with him and coloured both images with my Copic Markers. I added some washi tape to put the cat on and then adhered the sentiment which I cut in strips. Lastly I doodled around the strips and that was that !

Thank you for stopping by !

Do I look like...

Hello everyone,

and happy Wednesday to you all.

Today the lovely Kathi is hosting the new Challenge over at the Stampotique Designers' Challenge blog and she chose the theme : Shimmer and shine. This is what she said:

'My spirit animal must be a magpie as I am attracted to all things that shine, shimmer, or glitter. My challenge for you is to create a project that literally shines!'

I made an art journal and this is it, I hope it is shimmery and shiny enough Kathi !

This page was started with Dylusions paint. I made the colour by mixing red and white together. Next I put a stencil on top and smushed my Versamark pad on top. I then used two glittery embossing powders from WOW; Holographic Silver in the middle and Princess Pink on the sides.

Here you can see the glitter a little better.

I also put embossing ink on the edges and embossed it with Range silver embossing powder.
Next I stamped the background all over with grey Archival Ink. I then stamped 'Stacked boxes' twice on pattern paper and shaded them with watercolour pencils and a water brush, cut them out and adhered them to the bottom of the page. I did the same with the hat.
The main figure is called 'Friend' and I stamped him on white card stock, clear embossed him and cut him out with a little white border. It is almost impossible to cut him out without the border because of all the little bits sticking out. I glued him to the page and put his hat on too. I also gave him pink jewels for eyes.... scary !
The sentiment was also stamped on pattern paper, matted on black card stock and then adhered to the page.
I used the following stamps:

Why not join us and play too. You might just win one of two $30 vouchers to spend in the online shop. Just remember NO digi's and only one entry per person !

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

How do you do?

Hello everyone,

A little while ago I bought some Visible Image Stamps with Alice in Wonderland figures. I have Tweedledee and Tweedledum and the Cheshire Cat. I have a feeling this is the start of another stamp collection ! Anyway, today I finally inked them up and made this little art journal page:

The background is Mixed Media Paper and model paste. After this dried I gave it a coat of gesso. Next I used a Lindys Stampgang Spray in a dark blue. It is a Starburst spray, meaning that it has lots of sparkle. Shame it doesn't show on this photo. Next I used a Pigment Powder also from Lindys and a paintbrush and water to darken the edges slightly. I also keep spraying the page with water until I am happy with the result. Dee and Dum were stamped on white card stock with Memento Ink and I coloured them with Copic Markers, I then cut them out and adhered them on some washi tape. I also used the sentiments of this fun little set and added them to the page.

Thanks for stopping by today !
