I resign from adulthood!

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a card.

Here's how:

I coloured the card with Distress Oxide inks by dunking and drying. I used Salvaged Patina, Kitsch Flamingo and Twisted Citron. I then added some stencilling with the pink and the green. I went around the stencilling with a white pen to make it stand out more.

Added some stamping with the same inks and black VersaFine Clair.

Time for the main image.
This cat by Bipasha is fabulous. I stamped it on my card panel and on a piece of paper to colour.

I kept him grey because of the colourful  background. I wanted him to stand out. Love his pink glasses!

And here it is all put together. I added black lines, glued the cat on and adhered the panel onto the card.

I have used :
Stencil :
#138 - Rosy Posy by Bipasha Bk

Stamps:
#563 - Follow your own path by Tracy Evans
#489 - Wisecracks by Autour de Mwa
#570 - Hocus Pocus by Bipasha Bk

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a tag and an ATC.

This little tomboy came out this week! Isn't she cool, she reminds me of me when I was young.
I printed her, coloured her and cut her out. I found this piece of paper in my stash and I added a little blue ink to tie in with her hat. I rolled over some white paint and added a little stamping. She was placed on the tag and lastly I added the sentiment which comes with the set.

You'll find this little tomboy HERE.

This ATC is made with a Gnome from the 'Gnomes and sheep' set that came out earlier this month. I coloured him in Christmassy colours and chose a green background to which I added some stamping. I had some fabric lying around on my desk and decided to use that too. I stapled it to the card and glued the gnome over the top. I added the sentiment and that was that.

You'll find him and his gnome friends HERE

Home is where the heart is

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a postcard that is similar to the one I made for the The Craft Store (Hochanda) shows. Unfortunately more than half of my samples went missing at the studio and were never shown. So disappointing when that happens.

Here's how:

I started with a stencil print and Distress Oxide ink. I used Salvaged Patina.

Stamping the images I was going to use.

I stamped the background lightly with the text stamp from this set and added some book paper at the bottom. I inked up all the edges with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.

Then it was a case of putting it all together. I added some fabric scraps for a little more interest. The sentiment is from the same set.

I have used :
Stencil:
#134 - Heapza Hearts by Autour de Mwa
Stamps:
#573 - House of Butterflies by Tracy Evans

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made an ATC and a postcard.

How cute are this gnome and his pet sheep? I printed them, coloured them and cut them out. I used a background from my stash and added some stamping and a piece of washi tape to put them on. I glued them down, the gnome in front of the sheep and added the sentiment. Judging by their facial expressions they don't agree with it... lol

You'll find the Gnomes and Sheep HERE

This postcard was made with the set "Starlight' that came out a little while ago.
I printed, coloured and cut her out. I found this background in my stash and added some orange ink to it. I also rolled some white paint over it and stamped it randomly. I added some splatters and some washi tape, some doodling lines and a punched out scallop. I then placed her on top. The sentiment was matted on black card and adhered too.

You'll find Starlight HERE

Art journal pages for VivaLasVegaStamps!

  Hello everyone,

For today's VivaLasVegaStamps! post I have made a double artjournal spread. It is very colourful so get your sunglasses out!

Here's how I made this:

I used these Distress Oxide inks and a blending tool to add colour to my pages. I put the ink straight on the paper of my art journal. This is a Moleskine sketch book.

Next I dropped some water on it.

I then stamped the background using the same inks and some darker shades of the same colours.

Adding some black stamping and inking around the edges to frame the pages and some white splatters from a paint pen.

The focal. I love this stamp. She looks very regal.

I added some pink to her cheeks. The sentiments are clippings stickers by Tim Holtz.

I have used the following stamps:

Apart from the stamps I used:
Distress Oxide inks in rainbow colours
Versafine Clair Nocturne ink
White paint pen

Pisces art journal spread

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create post I have made an art journal spread with Janet Klein's star sign Pisces. This is my star sign and I wanted to use it somehow. I love art journalling so that is what I did.

Here's how:

I started with texture paste and this stencil.

Next I used spray inks by Lindy's Stamp Gang. I used two shades of blue and a tiny bit of green.
I then rolled over some white paint with a brayer. I love how that brings out the texture.

Next, I randomly stamped the background. I wanted quite a bit of white space in this project so I left it at this.

The pisces stamp.

All coloured up.

I cut her out and glued her on the page and then added the sentiments that come with the set.

I used the following :

Stencil #136 - Bug Hotel by Autour de Mwa

Stamps:
#589 - Pisces by Janet Klein
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#543 - Reckoner Digits by Tracy Evans

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio projects I have made a postcard and an ATC.

This postcard was made with 'van Gogh'; this set came out this week and has a few other images like a chair and a window. I printed, coloured and cut Vincent out and then started work on the postcard background. I used a flower stencil to do a print, added paints with a brayer and some stamping. Next I put some washi tape down to stand him on and some pieces in the top right corner for balance.
I then placed Vincent on top of the washi tape and added a sentiment from the set.

You'll find Vincent HERE.

This ATC was made with one of the girls from the Dailies set. I printed and coloured her, then cut her out. The background is a piece of designer paper that I cut out of a 12 x 12 sheet. I added a sentiment and that was it !

You'll find this set HERE

Home is where the heart is

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my post for AALL & Create where today I have made an accordion album.

Here's how I made it:

First I made the mat for my little cards would go on. I decorated the outside a little. First I toned it down with white paint and a brayer. Next I used this stencil to add interest. I used Distress Oxide ink for this.

Next I used the text stamp of this set to stamp allover the back and the front. I also added some doodling with a black fine liner.

I added a title, replacing the word 'heart' with a pink heart.

Next the background for my cards. I used Distress Oxide inks to dunk and dry until I was happy. (Broken China and Fossilized Amber).
I then used the same stencil and the same inks to add more detail.

Again, I used the same text stamp + one from the bottom set to add more texture to the cards.

Stamped the images for the focal points next.

Here you see I added them together with some sentiments from the same sets, some washi tape and pieces of fabric. I also added black lines.
They are now ready for the cover mat.

I think it looks fab! Pleased with it.

I have used the following materials:

A6 stamping block
Washi tape #3 Ponder by Autour de Mwa
Stencil - #136 - Bug Hotel by Autour de Mwa

Stamps: (all by Tracy Evans)

#563 - Follow your own path
#573 - House of butterflies
#598 - Minutes in flight
