Field notes

Hello everyone,

I was asked to make some samples for the Hochanda TV shows of AALL & Create on April 3rd and of course I made some. It is so exciting to see your samples on TV!

Today I am sharing a little mini book.

And here's how:

I made some gelli printed papers with this stencil and stamp. These are going to be the pages of my book. Finished size of the book is a little larger than an ATC.

Next, I added some stamping with the same stamp.

I also used this stencil on some of the pages with white paint.

This is going to be the front and back of the book. I will cut it in half, half for the front, half for the back.

I added some orange paint, stamped the fern and some of the squares on tissue paper and adhered them to the cover.

I used my Big Brush Markers to colour in the fern. I cut the cover in half and added the title which is from this fab A4 stamp.

Next I glued the pages together back to back. This is not my design. I learned this particular technique from Birgit Koopsen in one of her gelli printing work shops.

Here is the finished book. I did add some doodles with a white pen still.

I have used the following stamps:

#110 - Numbered botanical
#146 - Kings and Queens

Stencils:
#50 - Little tribe
$45 - Digital bubbles

You'll find more information on the fab AALL & Create products here:

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

  5. Love your mini booklet for field notes! It must be the week for minis, since that was my project this week as well. The stamps are fabulous and your visual texture, as always, has me drooling.
