Soulsearch

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing an art journal spread that I have made for the Butterfly Squad Challenge of last week. It is 'a layer a day' challenge where in a week you have a complete spread. You can read about it HERE.
This week it was all about talking nice to yourself. Well, I am not very good at that so this was a little bit of a 'soulsearch' for me ! But that is good, right?

and this is how I did it :

This is the first layer (Sunday). I added DecoArt crackle paste through a stencil called 'Torned Circle' designed by France.

On Monday I added these two colours of Fluid Acrylics.

On Tuesday I glued on these pieces of dictionary text with words that I think apply to me...

On Wednesday I added DecoArt Antiquing cream to the crackles and Archival ink (PottingSoil) around the edges to grunge it up.

On Thursday I added some stamping around the edges. I used the London New York set designed by France.

On Friday I used the Circles stencil and ink to add some more circles. I went around the edges of the circles with a pencil.

On Saturday I added the last layer(s) which was the sentiment and main image cluster which I made from a piece of dictionary paper, a piece of cambric and 2 stamped images. One is the moth from the Creepers and Crawlers stampset by France and the word 'soulsearch' from the 'Perfect Words' set also by France.

I hope you enjoyed the process; I centainly did !

All stamps and stencils I used are available HERE

If you never try ...

Hello everyone,

another week has gone by and it is time again for my Katzelkraft post. I have made an art journal page for today.

This page has a gelli printed base. I stamped the "Gentleman Dog" without his dog because I thought it would be fun to replace the dog with the giraffe...

I coloured the image with my Copic Markers and cut them out. I then placed them onto my print. I had also stamped the images on here so that I could cut out the giraffe's tail and the man's moustache. I drew the lead to the giraffes neck.. I think it turned out fun!

I have used the following stamps:

She was herself again.

Hello everyone,

I hope you are well ! A very warm welcome to my inspiration post for UmWow Studio ! I have made an Art Journal page this time and this is it:

This was great fun to make... here's how:

I used three of these shapes from the Doodle Mash; I wanted them to be rusty and used Finnabair's Rust Effect paste.

This paste works quite well.

Next I painted some '10 Seconds Studio' Iron paint in three blobs onto the page and added the patina spray. This then went rusty too. Yay, love a bit of rust !
When this had dried I glued the shapes on top to make it look like they were there for years! I then stamped the background a little using brown and blue ink.
Next I painted an additional piece of paper with the same paint and did an image transfer with one of UmWow's new digitals. She is called 'girl with pearls'. I placed her onto some Sari ribbon and some book text and adhered her with some dimensional tape.

I hope I could inspire you to make something with Chipboard!

Here's what I have used:

Strange girls

Hello everyone,

For today's inspiration post for Vera Lane Studio I have 2 postcards and an AJ page to share. I decided to get away from the Christmas theme and go for something completely different....

The first postcard was made with the latest release called 'Puddle Jumps'. Isn't she adorable !

You will find this cutie HERE.

Next the Art Journal page.

This is Maeve, she is an older image but boy, isn't she fab ! I printed her and coloured her and her cake with my Copic Markers. I then placed her on some pattern paper that had been in my stash for ages. I added some inking and some script stamping. The sentiment is a clippings sticker by Tim Holtz and I decided to my favourite thing and add some dictionary words.

You will find Maeve HERE

and lastly, another postcard:

For this postcard I made the background with some Mixed Media paper that I gessoed. I then added some Brea Reese glitter ink in 'Lake Blue'. This ink was gifted to me by my lovely teammate Stephanie from 'the inked artist'. Make sure to visit her blog, she works wonders with these inks.
I added some script stamping with red ink and some washitape to match her dress...  She was printed, coloured with Copics and cut out, same as her doggie.
The sentiment are 'Big Chat' stickers by Tim Holtz.

You will find this girl with attitude HERE

If the crown fits

Hello everyone,

For my weekly post for AALL & Create I have made a postcard. I have also filmed to process if you are interested !
Find the link to YouTube at the bottom of this post.

And here's how

I painted a piece of Mixed Media card with acrylic paint and a brayer.

Next I used this stencil with a baby wipe to remove some of the paint. I then over stamped with this fabulous A4 stamp.

Next I stamped 'Zara' on the card and on white card stock...

Coloured her with Copics and....

Cut her out without all the small lines. Because she was stamped on the card also I can just cut off all the small details. She'll be complete again when I adhere her to the card.

et voila !

Here is the link to: YouTube

I have used the following stamps/stencil:

Stamp #86 - Zara
Stamp #58 - Scribble it
Stencil #11

The best is yet to come

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I have a journal page for Katzelkraft.

This page was created using Pattern paper. Sometimes it is just nice to not have to get painty !  I stamped the images (I stamped the trash can without the lid) on white card stock and coloured them with my Copic markers. I put the rat in the trash can by masking the trash can before stamping the rat. I then cut everything out and placed them on my page. I also used a piece of different pattern paper to make 'ground'.
The words were stamped straight on the background.

I have used the following stamps:

Sandy toes !

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my weekly post for Vera Lane Studio. I have a postcard to share and also the ATC for the monthly swap which is hosted by Stephanie this time. She chose the theme of 'Christmas in July'.

I used a background from my stash for this card. It was made with the gelli plate and Copic Refills. Will have to make some more soon as my stash is getting very low ! I resized, printed, coloured and cut out the girl, the cloud and the sentiment.. Placed them on the card on top of a torn strip of washi tape and that was that ! I love how it turned out.

You will find this set HERE

This is my ATC for this month's swap. I used one of the baubles; isn't she cute !

Days of Summer

Hello everyone,

I am back with more inspiration for Jane's 'the Summer garden' challenge over at Country View Challenges !  I have made a tag this time. Of course I filmed the process !

I have used a piece of pattern paper here. I find that is very convenient sometimes and I also like to get my stash a little smaller ! lol
I added some paint and stamping and then coloured the girl "juniper" by Aall & Create, I added some washi and put a flower in her hair... If you want to know how, hop over to my YouTube channel

or via this link ! I would appreciate you subscribing to my channel too !

Banksy ATC Coins

Hello everyone,

For today's post for VivaLasVegaStamps! I have made some ATC Coins. They seem to be all the rage at the moment and they are good fun to make. I couldn't resist getting my Banksy's out again because I still love them...

here goes:

I used a gelli print from my stash and cut 5 circles out of it. An ATC Coin should be 2.5" in diameter.

And here they are. In hindsight I should have done the stamping and stencilling first before cutting the circles but it did work in the end..

I used a few background stamps and Archival inks in similar colours to create more interest.
I also added some dots in dark grey ink.

Next I selected a bunch of Banksy stamps and sentiments and used my stamping platform to get a nice black image.

This is what they looked like. I thought they needed some white so I decided to add some stencilling using white acrylic paint.

So, this is what they ended up as. I really like them.

A close up.

and another close up.

I used the following stamps:
