Welcome to my blog where today I have an artjournal spread to share. I made this with the latest release by Vera Lane Studio, called Anthony and Cleopatra. 

I printed, coloured and cut the images out. I made the background with Distress Oxide Inks and a stencil by Janet Klein for AALL & Create (#187). I added some stamping and placed Cleopatra, Anthony and the sentiment on the pages. I doodled around the words and that was that !

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing an art journal spread that I made for VivaLasVegaStamps!  I was a relatively simple one too but I enjoyed making it.

Here's how I made it:

First I painted the pages with shades of blue and purple. I mixed in white paint to get some different hues. 

Next I stamped this doily (a full list of the stamps I used is at the bottom of my post) and heat embossed it with white powder. So pretty ! 

I then added some stamping on the background.

Next I stamped, coloured and cut out this lady.

Here she is all finished on the page. I added some washi tape here and there, some doodles and a word that I cut out of a sentiment.

Hello everyone,

and Happy Thursday ! For this week's Vera Lane Studio blogpost I have made a journal spread and a tag.

These cuties were released this week and are called "Catness". There are 5 in the set and they are fabulous, even to a non-catlover like me ! lol The background was made with acrylic paints and some stencilling and stamping. The cats were coloured with Copic Markers.

This tag was made with a piece of Gelli Printed paper and on of the little girls from the "be You" set. 

She was coloured with Copics and coloured pencils. Sentiment is made out of Tim Holtz Clippings. I also made her a crown out of book paper.

Hello everyone,

For today's Katzelkraft post I have made a quick art journal spread. I had fun making it too !

I started with colouring the pages with Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass. I then used a brayer and added some white acrylic paint. Next I stamped over the top with DOInk in the same Tumbled Glass and Ground Espresso. I also used the ground espresso to go around the edged. I stamped the sheep on the page and on white card stock and coloured him. I cut him out and placed him on the left page. I added some washi tape here and there and then stamped the sentiment, inked it and glued it onto the pages.

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made an Art Journal spread and an ATC. I also have a YouTube tutorial for the Art Journal !

This was fun to make..  I have used the set that was released this week and it is called : Lighting Bug, how sweet is that !  If you'd like to know I made this how click HERE or on the pic below :

The second (mini) project is an ATC:

This ATC sized piece of painted paper had been in my stash for years, yes, years and every time I saw it I thought : I must use this because it is nice... lol And today I came across it again and thought that Peekaboo would be perfect to go on here. 

I coloured her with Copic Markers, cut her out and adhered her and the sentiment to the ATC. Added some more shadow and that was that !

Always be Batman!

and welcome to my first Katzelkraft post of 2019 ! Happy New Year !

For this post I have made a mini art journal spread.

Ever since I had this sentiment I thought about how I could use it and when I looked at the Les Pabos set "Sherlock Holmes" I saw this little guy that was wearing a cape ! So I stamped him and masked off the lines on his body. I then drew the Batman Hat, the bat on his chest and added some folds to his cape, et voila ! lol I coloured him with Copic Markers and I think he came out super cute ! 

For the background I added Distress Oxide inks over gessoed pages and splattered some water over them. I then added some stamping,  stencilling and  doodling. I then added Batman and the sentiment.

Different

Hello everyone,

Welcome to today's blogpost for Katzelkraft. I have revisited an old stamp set today because I still  love these images. I have used it to make a mini art journal spread.

I started out with collaging some tissue paper on the pages with gel medium. When this was dry I painted over everything with white gesso to knock it back a little. I then took my brayer and rolled some acrylic paints over it. I made sure I used colours that were transparent. I used a lime green and a turquoise. 

Next I stamped the background, only a little, because it was busy enough and then I stamped the sentiment on some blank tissue paper. This is a great way to get a good impression. When you glue it down using gel medium it almost disappears into the background. 

THe deer-lady was stamped on book paper and adhered with gel medium too. 

I used two stamp sets today :

KTZ141 - Les Anthropomorphes Zebra (only for the sentiment)

KTZ142 - Les Anthropomorphes Rabbit

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

It is my turn to show you some inspiration with the lovely digital images from Vera Lane Studio. I love the because they are so versatile. I love colouring too and these are great for that.
For today I have made an art journal, an ATC, and an ATC Coin.

This AJ was great fun to make. I put some paper under the pages to protect anything underneath while I painted the pages with gesso. I noticed that the magazine pages I used for this had nice pink stripes so I tore them off and used them for collage! Next I added book text pieces and then knocked it back with more gesso. I then added the stencilling with Distress Oxide Ink and put down some black and white washi tape. I also added some stamping (the little black dots) and a doodle line along the pages. This little Dilly girl was then put on the left page. She was coloured with Copics. Lastly I added the sentiment which is a sticker by Tim Holtz.

This ATC was made with a piece of pattern paper. I added some more of it down the bottom where I also adhered the sentiment from the set. The little pirate was coloured with Copics and adhered onto the card.

This little parrot is from the same Pirate set. I coloured him on holiday with watercolours. I added a swirl to put him on. The sentiment is a sentence out of a book. The coin itself was cut out of a gelli print.

I am very blessed to be on so many fantastic Design Teams but sometimes it is just nice to do something for me ! So when I received a pack of "snarky" Small Talk stickers by Tim Holtz (as part of a DT package), there was one sticker that gave me an instant idea. So I set to work and filmed the process:

The weird thing is that I struggled with it. Don't know why, maybe it is because I don't often play anymore and I was a little overwhelmed.

Gone fishin'

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my post for VivaLasVegaStamps! today where I'd like to share a mini art journal spread.

I made this by brayering acrylic paint over the pages. I then used a mini gel printing plate to add the tone on tone flowers. Next I added some stamping and more flowers, this time with white paint . The flowers are a stencil btw. 

I then stamped the girl on the page; I had to colour the birds in with a black marker because it didn't stamp very well. That is the rist of working directly in your journal. Much easier to work on loose pages so you can use a stamping tool.

 I also stamped her on a piece of white paper and cut her and the bird cage and boat out. I adhered this over the stamped image on the page. I added a little colour with pencils. 

The sentiment was stamped as a background stamp but also separate on white paper to use as a titel for the page. I also aded some white splatters and a line around the page.

New gals have arrived at Vera Lane Studio !

and Happy Thursday to you all.

For today's Vera Lane Studio inspiration post I have made a postcard and a mini journal spread..
We had a new release this week and I really love these girls. They are called Amelie and Elodie and they come in 2 versions; with lovely already coloured in dresses and blank. I have used the blank ones in these projects and coloured them myself but I am sure I will use the coloured ones too some time.

This girl has been resized, printed, coloured with Copic markers and cut out. I placed her on on gelli printed background to which I added some gessoed book paper and some washi tape. I didn't think she needed any more. 

For this mini AJ spread I painted the pages with acrylic paints in yellow and orange and then used a stencil and a babywipe to wipe away some of the paint. I think this is a great effect. I then used a script stamp and some washi tape. I placed the girl, which I coloured the same way as the other one, on the washi tape and added the sentiment on the opposite page.

I'm late, I'm late...

and welcome to my inspiration post for VivaLasVegaStamps! today !

I have made an Art Journal spread and I have gone for an Alice in Wonderland theme. I love Alice in Wonderland. Strange really if you know that I only started to read the books as an adult. I got really interested when I started crafting as the characters are great for cards, tags, journals... you name it.

This spread was made in my homemade gel printed book. I learned making this in a workshop with Birgit Koopsen. You make lots of gel printed pages and then glue them together to make a book. 

There is a video from Birgit to show the process HERE. 

I started with heat embossing the Dandilion here and there on the pages. I used fine detail white embossing powder by WOW. Next I stamped the background with similar colours of Archival inks as the background and with grey and black for contrast. Next I added some washi tape and stamped the rabbit and the sentiment. 

The rabbit was coloured with Copic Markers and cut out. I rest amped him onto my page and was then able to cut off small details like the watch chain. I then adhered the coloured one over the top. I also added some shading under him. 

The stamped sentiment was cut into smaller pieces and adhered to the page. A little doodling with a white pen finished the whole thing off.

Find joy in the ordinary

Hello everyone,

For today's inspiration post for UmWow Studio I have used one of the new digital images. They are fantastic ! I hope you'll check them out ! I have also used one of the stencils AND a chipboard, although I don't know whether that was the right thing to do. I finished the filming and then changed the place of the chipboard but I still think it might have been better without it. I'd like to know what you think.

How gorgeous are these two ! 

Here is the whole AJ spread. It was made in my homemade gel printed book. I learned this technique in a workshop by Birgit Koopsen. 

Anyway, I have filmed the process if you would like to know the AJ pages came together..
