Do I smell cake ?

Hello everyone,

For my DT post for Inkadinkadutchies today I have made a mini art journal. This will be my last DT post for Inkadinkadutchies/Lost Coast Designs. I had a lot of fun but it is time to move on !
I want to thank Esther from Inkadinkadutchies and Linda from Lost Coast Designs for their generosity and support. Maybe our paths will cross again some time !

I saw this background technique on You Tube and had to try it. It is called Watercolour lifting with heat embossing, it is by Jennifer McGuire and you will find it HERE

You start with a piece of water colour paper and colour it with a water soluble material. I used Distress Inks but you could also use watercolours, or water colour markers.
When this has dried you stamp on it with VersaMark ink and heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. Next you spritz the whole thing with water and leaver it for a little while. Then use a piece of kitchen towel to lift off the colour. Repeat if necessary. You get this really cool effect. I like it, must do it again.
Anyway, I stamped the bride and coloured her sparingly, cut her out and adhered her to my background. I also rubbed a black Archival ink pad along the edges of the water colour panel. Lastly I stamped the sentiment and cut it into strips. I adhered it to my panel, doodled around the letters and then finally glued the panel into my small art journal.

I used the following stamps:

You can get these stamps at Lost Coast Designs if you live outside Europe. If you live in Europe you can get them from Inkadinkadutchies. If they do not have them in stock, they will be able to order them for you.

Dream, Magic, Love.

Hello everyone,

I have made a set of three ATC's for my Designteam post for Inkadinkadutchies today and here they are:

The background on these ATC's was made by spraying a piece of watercolour paper with Dylusions ink sprays. I then used a stencil and water to create slightly lighter polkadots. I also splattered some white ink on it. I then cut this piece of paper into ATC sized cards. Next I stamped each card with a bird and VersaMark ink. I then heat embossed with white WOW embossing powder.
I then stamped the backgrounds with the small text in the Dream, Magic, Love stamps and stamped the big words on a piece of separate white card stock. I used Archival Jet Black ink for this. I cut out the big words and adhered them on the cards. Lastly I drew some lines around the cards and did some doodling.

I used the following stamps for these ATC's

These lovely stamps are for sale at Inkadinkadutchies in the Netherlands if you live in Europe or at Lost Coast Designs in the USA if you live outside of Europe.

Happy everything

Hello everyone,

For this months DT project for Inkadinkadutchies I have made a simple card. I am quite into simple CAS cards at the moment. They are not too difficult to make and usually look nice.

The stamp I used is called 'Tulip' and is by Carmen's Verandah/Lost Coast Designs. I stamped it on a piece of watercolour paper with Archival ink and watercoulored it with WInsor and Newton watercolour paints.
I used a sentiment by Lost Coast Designs.

I love the dreamy light background which makes the tulip stand out even more.

You can get these stamps at Lost Coast Designs if you live outside Europe. If you live in Europe you can get them from Inkadinkadutchies. If they do not have them in stock, they will be able to order them for you.

Imagination

Hello everyone,

I did a mini art journal with Lost Coast Design stamps. Lately I have been using Design paper for my backgrounds and that is also what I have done here. It was a greyish paper and I used yellow and orange paints to  colour it. What I like is that you can still see the paper through the paint.

The paint I used was Fresco Finish Acrylic paint by PaperArtsy and it was brayered on the paper. I stamped the background using different colours of ink and a selection of stamps. There is a list of the stamps I used at the bottom of this post.
The woman was stamped on the page and on white card stock. I coloured the one on the card stock, cut her out and adhered her on top of the one on the paper after glueing down some washi tape to ground her. I glued some more of this washi tape at the top and left of the left page.
Lastly I typed a sentiment, cut it into strips and adhered the strips to the page and doodling around each word. That were the pages done. All I had to do then was glueing them in my mini journal.

I used the following stamps:
Bugz set (just for the little bits of black text)

You can get these stamps at Lost Coast Designs if you live outside Europe. If you live in Europe you can get them from Inkadinkadutchies. If they do not have them in stock, they will be able to order them for you.

World traveler

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my DT post for Inkadinkadutchies. I have made another art journal, yes, I know, boring but I just love making journals..

This one was really easy. I started with painting the page with gesso using a brush, after which I painted it with turquoise, green and white Dina Wakley paints, with my fingers. I used the same colours with a bubble stencil and a blending tool to create the circles. I used a few different sized bottle tops to add the rings around the bubbles.
Next I stamped the background with the 'ATC Misc. set' and one of the text stamps from the 'Bugz set'. I then stamped the 'City scape' and 'Steampunk Icarus' on the page using Archival Jet Black ink. I think that works best over acrylic paints. Lastly I added the Tim Holtz chit chat stickers and doodled around them.

That was it. You can get these lovely stamps at Inkadinkadutchies in the Netherlands if you live in Europe or at Lost Coast Designs if you live outside Europe. If Inkadinkadutchies don't have them in stock they can always order them for you...

Thank you so much for stopping by !

Friends

Hello everyone,

I have an art journal to share today. It is made with the lovely Lost Coast Designs/Carmen's Veranda Stamps. A lot of these stamps are available in the Netherlands at Inkadinkadutchies. You'll find the online store HERE.

Here's my journal :

This is done on a piece of watercolour paper. I started with stamping the 'Grunge Black Swirl' background stamp twice with grey Archival ink. I then rubbed yellow, orange and red Brusho's into the paper and stamped with two shapes of the 'Shadow Frames Set' and water into the Brusho's. I didn't think it was bright enough though, so I spritzed some water over it and after it dried I used the same stamps and Distress Inks to accentuate the circles... I liked that better. I then used white acrylic paint and the 'Love' stamp from the 'Dream, Magic, Love' set. Next I stamped the 'Cat & Bird' on the page and on white paper. I coloured them with pencils and cut them out. Before I adhered them I did some collaging with music paper and an old comic which was coloured with the same Distress ink colours. I also doodled and splattered with a white paint pen.
Lastly I adhered 'Cat & Bird' and used some chit chat stickers by Tim Holtz for the sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

ATC trio

Hello everyone,

It is my turn on the Inkadinkadutchies DT today and I have made a little set of three ATC's.

Aren't they cute ?  haha...
First, stamp the images on the cards. Make masks and cover up. Then rub dry Brusho Powders into the paper with your fingers. Wet your favourite background stamp and stamp the cards. Mist a little more water over the paper to make the colours even more vivid. Not too much or it will change into one coloured mess.
I used coloured pencils to colour the figures after the cards dried and the masks were off. I also lightly stamped the background and doodled a one around the edges.

That was it !

I used the following stamps:

You can buy these stamps at www.lost-coast-designs.com or if you live in Europe at www.Inkadinkadutchies.nl

Blonds make the best victims

Hello everyone,

It is my turn to show you something made with the gorgeous Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Verandah stamps for Inkadinkadutchies. I made a mini art journal and I hope you like it:

This double page spread has been made in a mini Moleskine journal. I started with finger painting the pages with Dina Wakley's paints in the colours lime and turquoise.  I then stamped the background with a few different stamps. There is a list of all the stamps I used at the bottom of this post.
I also used a stencil with some white gesso to add some white and drew some lines around the pages.
I stamped Alfred with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him with Copic Markers. There is not a lot to colour as he is mostly black. I found this quote on the internet and thought it was hilarious. I decided to use it an typed it on my old typewriter, cut it apart and glued it onto the page. Lastly I put on some strips of washi tape; I though the filmstrip was quite appropriate...
That was it !

I used the following stamps :

You can get these stamps at Lost Coast Designs HERE when you live in the USA or at Inkadinkadutchies HERE if you live in Europe.

Hello

Hello everyone,

Today is my turn to show you something made with Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Verandah Stamps. A lot of these stamps are now available via www.Inkadinkadutchies.nl. Even if you can't find it in the shop they will be able to order it for you.

If you live in the States it is better to shop at http://www.lost-coast-designs.com

I decided to make another Art Journal.

I started this page by stamping the monkey face at the bottom and then adding the colour around him using a blending tool and Distress inks. I used Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon. Next I used a stencil and some model paste to create some interest. After the model paste was dry I sprayed some yellow Lindy's Spray over the raised areas, again to add some interest. There is a lovely sparkle to these areas now.  Next I stamped the background randomly with the harlequin stamp and the bottle cap. I used paint to stamp the bottle cap. Next I stamped the 'hello' with a greeny Archival ink and cut out the letters. I then coloured the monkey face with coloured pencils and accentuated the letters here and there also with pencils.
I also doodled around the letters and around the page. Lastly I adhered the letters to the page.

I used the following stamps:

Heel veel succes gewenst allemaal en veel plezier !

Hier is mijn voorbeeld :

I have used the following stamps for this/
Ik heb de volgende stempels hier voor gebruikt:

I stamped the girl first and then masked her. Next I stamped all the squares from the Shadow Frames set with different colours of Archival Inks. I splattered ink on it and used a credit card and India Ink to create the 'stripes'.  I took off the mask and coloured the girl with pencils. Lastly I used a stencil and ink to put the word 'princess' on the page and drew a line around the page.
