This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday!

For today's Vera Lane Studio project, I have made another Memory Dex card. I used Florence Nightingale, she was released this week.

I printed the images and coloured them with Copic Markers. I then cut them out. I die cut a memory dex card (designed by Janet for AALL & Create) and a few sprigs. I used one to put the owl on.
The background was made by brayering Versafine Inks over it. I stamped the background and then toned it all down with white paint. I added some washi tape and placed Florence on it. Lastly I added the sprigs, the owl and the sentiment.

You'll find Florence HERE or HERE

Party in a letter

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a round card made for AALL & Create. I fancied using bright colours so I dug out my Distress Oxide sprays and used those. I love how they mingle and mix. I just totally forgot I had them... happens to all of us, doesn't it? 😅

Here's how I made this:

I die cut the biggest circle out of watercolour paper.

I coloured the circle with Distress Oxide Sprays. I used yellow, green, orange and pink. I then added stamping with black ink and some heat embossed circles. I also splattered some white acrylic paint on it using a marker.

Next, more stamping, this time I used the same-ish colours as the background. I like the subtlety of it.

I added some washi tape, looking at the colours of it more than the pattern.

I planned to use white and black washi tape to put the images on but decided to use this die cut border.

Next I stamped and coloured the images. I used Copic Markers for the colouring. I stamped some extra grass, this is just the bottom of the letter box cut off.

And here she is all put together. I added the sentiment from the stamp set and doodled around the words with a black pen.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Dies:
#38 - Counting Circles
#51 - Majestic Borders

Washi tape:
#52 Blush by Janet Klein
#61 Harvest Time by Janet Klein

Stamps:
#489 - Wisecracks by Autour De Mwa

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard with the newly released "Ribbit'.

I printed and coloured the images. I die cut the card with an AALL & Create die set and coloured it with Distress Oxide Inks and a blending tool. I used orange, yellow, green and blue and then splattered some water on it; it bleached the spots where the water is. I then heat embossed one of Janet's stamps with white powder. After I cut out the images I placed them on the card and glued them down. The heart with the wings is from a set of ephemera by Janet for AALL & Create. Lastly I cut the bigger card in yellow and used it as a mat.

You will find the frogs HERE

Thank you fro stopping by.

Service with a smile

 Hi everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a tag. I planned to use the AALL & Create Flag Die but when I finished colouring the images I noticed that the building I created was too big/high for the tag. So I decided to cut a tag by hand.

Here is how:

I chose the images that I wanted to use and coloured them. I then cut them out and made them into a large building.

I made it into a cheese shop.

Next I made the background with acrylic paints and a stencil on the gelli plate. I added some extra stencilling with ink which I heat embossed with clear powder to make it dry quicker.

I added some rub-ons. In the bottom right corner you can see I stamped the mouse. I did this so I could cut off all the fine details on the one I coloured. When I glue the coloured one on top the details will all be there again.

Some background stamping.

When I was happy with the background I glued everything down. I also used some washi tape to ground the building and the mouse.

I have used the following products:
Stencil:
#132 - Flagstone Figures by Autour De Mwa

Washi tape:
#58 - Scribbolour by Janet Klein

Stamps:
#362 - Splodge by Autour De Mwa
#1175 - This Much Is True by Autour De Mwa & Co.
#762 - Waitress Dee by Janet Klein
#1162 - Cirque by Autour De Mwa & Co.
#1156 - Numero Uno by Autour De Mwa & Co.
#1124 - Cheesed To Meet You by Autour De Mwa & Co.
#1045 - Sugar Delights by Autour De Mwa

Rub-ons:
#3 - Green Meanies by Autour De Mwa & Co

The best birthday ever

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a card I made for AALL & Create. I have used another Memory Dex card, I guess I am addicted.

Lots of people have asked what to do with these cards so I thought I used it as a card topper and it works well I think.

Here's how:

I used a sheet of Design Paper and cut out the Memory Dex card.

I added some heat embossed stamping and...

some normal stamping.

A few pieces of washi tape..

The main image, coloured with Copic markers.

The sentiment.

And here it is all put together. I added some white splatters after this stage.

Preparing the card base. I just added some black and white washi tape but you could use a mat as well.

This is the end result. I just see the card as an interesting shape as opposed to a Memory Dex card.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Design paper:
#5 - Citrus Rainbow by Autour De Mwa & Co.

Die:
#49 - Spring Sprouts

Stamps:
#443 - Scripted Circles by Bipasha Bk
#630 - Basic Sentiments by Bipasha Bk
#457 - Background Voices by Bipasha Bk
#1140 - Black Forest Hello by Bipasha Bk

Washi tape:
#96 - Sugar Roll by Bipasha Bk
#17 - Mix & Match by Janet Klein

This week at Vera Lane studio

 Hello and happy Thursday!

Today I have a journal spread to share. I have used the newly released 'Noah's Ark'.

This was a long process although it doesn't look like it. I spent ages colouring the images and then struggled with the background which is just painted with acrylic paint.
I also painted some typing paper and die cut some clouds and tore strips off it for the sea.
I added a little stamping and stencilling and glued down the clouds and the sun. The boat was tucked in the sea slightly to make it look a bit more real.

Anyway, you'll find the Ark HERE or HERE

Thank you for stopping by today!

Put a bow on it

 Hello everyone,

Today is Tuesday so that means another project for AALL & Create. I have made a journal spread this time because journalling is still my favourite thing to do. I combined a lot of products to get to this result. I am thinking maybe even to much! I sometimes don't know where to stop..

Here's how:

I painted the background with acrylic paints, used a brayer to add some white paint and did some stencilling, also with white paint.

Next, I added some Rub-Ons. I also put the stencil back onto the circles and used a white pen to make them rounder.

Some washi tape to add a little interest.

and some stamping of course.

Next the main image. I stamp her and the party hat. I stamped the bow, then masked it off and stamped the hat over the top. I now looks as if the bow was always on there. I coloured all the images with Copic markers. I then cut them out.

I decided to cut out one of these borders. I coloured it by going over it with a brayer and the same paints as I used for the background.

and here it is, all put together.

I have  used the following products:

Die:
#51 - Majestic Borders

Stencil:
#136 - Bug Hotel by Autour De Mwa

Rub ons:
#3 - Geeny Meanies by Autour De Mwa & Co
#8 - Enchanting Larking by Autour De Mwa & Co

Stamps:
#1110 - Time Heals All by Autour De Mwa & Co
#1156 - Numero Uni by Autour De Mwa & Co
