This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a postcard with the newly release Ski-son which means (after googling, lol) Ski Season. I really do live under a rock most of the time..

This very simple card was made by blending yellow, orange white and blue inks. I used Distress Oxides for the colours and Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink. The snow is just two torn pieces of card placed over each other. I then printed the images, coloured them and cut them out. I added them to the scene; I had planned to do some stamping too, but I liked the simplicity of the background so I decided to leave it that way. I did stamp the sentiment which comes from one of Janet's stamp sets for AALL & Create called Snow Angel (#943).

You'll find this lovely girl HERE

Life's prickly moments...

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a set of 3 ATC's that I made with some of Bipasha's new stamps and some of the older ones.

Here's how I made this:

I started with stamping and colouring the little plants. I used watercolours this time.

Next I made the backgrounds with my gelli plate and toning it down as always with a brayer and white paint. I then added some stencilling also with white paint.

Some stamping in green, pink and black.

Adding pieces of washi tape.

The sentiment which I heat embossed with white powder.

And here they are finished. I did add some lines around some of the edges for more interest and to frame them.

To make sure they don't go missing (I send all my samples to AALL & Create) I mounted them on some dark grey pattern paper and then all three on some pink polka dotted paper.  I actually preferred them loose but I don't want them to disappear.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

All by Bipasha Bk
Stencil : #147 Coffee Stains
Washi Tape #36 - Midsummer
Stamps:
#1090 - Pot Party
#1072 - Oasis Heaven
#349 - Bold Alphas Mini
#457 - Background Voices

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I have an artjournal spread to share. I made this with the latest release by Vera Lane Studio, called Anthony and Cleopatra.

I printed, coloured and cut the images out. I made the background with Distress Oxide Inks and a stencil by Janet Klein for AALL & Create (#187). I added some stamping and placed Cleopatra, Anthony and the sentiment on the pages. I doodled around the words and that was that !

You'll find Cleopatra and Anthony HERE

Home is my happy place

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a 6 x 6 card or a journal page, it could be either.

In my social media posts you see a version with a cat in the window. I added that long after I wrote this blogpost. Just a bit of fun!

Here's how:

First, I selected the images I wanted to use and stamped and coloured them. I used watercolours this time, just for something different.

The background is a gelli print made with this stencil and acrylic paint. I toned it down a little with a brayer and white paint.

I stamped the tree straight on the gelli print because it's a little difficult to cut out. I coloured it with watercolour markers and coloured pencils.

Some background stamping.

The sentiment.

I have used the folowing products:

Stencil # 87 - Totally Dotty by Autour De Mwa
Stamps:
#489 - Wisecracks by Autour De Mwa
#1003 - Jingle Dreams by Autour De Mwa & Co
#1044 - Let's Play Shop by Autour De Mwa & Co
#409 - Home by Janet Klein

Flowers just for you

 Hello everyone,

For this week's AALL & Create project I have made a postcard.

Here's how:

I used this stamp to make a gelli print. First I printed the green background with just paint. I then stamped this stamp here and there on the gelli plate using Distress Oxide ink, I then put the paper back on the plate and pulled a print. Remember that if you gelli print with text, it will all be backwards in your print. I don't mind that but it is good to know.

Next I added some heat embossing with white powder.

and of course some more stamping.

Next the flower I wanted to use. I stamped it three times and coloured it and cut it out.

I lengthened the stems with strips of paper.

I stamped the sentiment next.

here it is, all put together!

I have used the following stamps, all by Tracy Evans

#986 - The Good
#993 - Vertical Stems
#992 - 30 Days
#625 - Vine
#1007 - It's Acer Officer

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a postcard with the newly released set 'Marie Curie'. I have opted for clean and simple today, at least as c&s as it gets for me !!

I added some stencilling to a 6 x 4 card and splashed some blue and brown ink on it. I also added some washi tape (AALL & Create by Janet) and then printed, coloured and cut Marie out. I added her to the card and that was that !

You'll find Marie HERE

Lemon, lime and orange

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a journal page with some of Janet's latest stamps.

Here's how I made this:

The background was made with a gelli plate and acrylic paint. Firstly roll white paint on your plate; then place the stencil on it while the paint is still wet. Place a piece of paper over the stencil and rub with your fingers to get rid of the white paint in the apertures. Take the stencil off and let dry. When dry place the stencil back on the plate in the same place and fill the apertures with acrylic paints and a piece of sponge. I used yellow (lemon), green (lime) and orange (orange). Take the stencil off and let dry. Then roll over another layer of white and while wet take your print.

This is what it looks like with the paint on it.

And here is the finished print.

I added a little bit of stamping here and there.

Next I stamped and coloured these cuties. I used Copic Markers for this.

I added some washi tape for them to stand on.

And here it is all put together. SO cute !

I have used the following materials:

Washi tape #57 - Scribblack by Janet Klein
Stencil #185 - Margarita Dreams by Janet Klein

Stamps:
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#366 - Roundly by Autour de Mwa
#1021 - Lemon by Janet Klein
#1022 - Lime by Janet Klein
#1024 - Orange by Janet Klein

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For this week's project I have made a tag. I die cut it from one of my die sets that have been in my stash for years. I am not a die person, I just don't use them normally but today I thought let's use it for once. The girl is from a new set that is called 'The Ordinary'.

I cut the tag our of watercolour paper and used the dunk method and Distress Oxide Inks to make the background. I used one of Janet's stencils (#171) for AALL & Create and white embossing powder to get some interest. I printed, coloured and cut the girl out and adhered her to the tag. Lastly I added the sentiment and some black lines along the edges.

You'll find this fab girl HERE
