Hello everyone,
For this week's AALL & Create project I have made a postcard.
Here's how:
I used this stamp to make a gelli print. First I printed the green background with just paint. I then stamped this stamp here and there on the gelli plate using Distress Oxide ink, I then put the paper back on the plate and pulled a print. Remember that if you gelli print with text, it will all be backwards in your print. I don't mind that but it is good to know.
Next I added some heat embossing with white powder.
and of course some more stamping.
Next the flower I wanted to use. I stamped it three times and coloured it and cut it out.
I lengthened the stems with strips of paper.
I stamped the sentiment next.
here it is, all put together!
I have used the following stamps, all by Tracy Evans
#986 - The Good
#993 - Vertical Stems
#992 - 30 Days
#625 - Vine
#1007 - It's Acer Officer

It’s gorgeous I don’t have a gelli plate and am curious as to why you have used it in this case to stamp an image
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, it's just to show what you can do with a gel plate. Obviously I could have just stamped the image but using the gel press plate the print becomes a little lighter and softer which I like. You can also use it to reverse an image like I did with the chickens for today's blogpost. https://madebychook.blogspot.com/2023/12/rise-and-shine.html Hope this helps, Corrie.
