Who left the bag of idiots open?

Hello everyone,

For my weekly Katzelkraft project I made a postcard.

I got these 'snarky' stickers from Tim Holtz and I thought this one would work fabulously with the pig and the goose from the Farm Animal set from Katzelkraft. I made me chuckle anyway !

The background of this card was made by inking up a stencil with Distress Oxide inks and spritzing it with water. I then put it, ink down, on a piece of Mixed Media paper with this as a result. Pretty, I think. I stamped the animals, on the card and on a piece of white card stock and coloured them with my Copic markers. I then cut them out and adhered them onto the ones on the card. I added some shading underneath and the sentiment.

I used the

stampset.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

It is my turn to show you some inspiration with the lovely digital images from Vera Lane Studio. I love the because they are so versatile. I love colouring too and these are great for that.
For today I have made an art journal, an ATC, and an ATC Coin.

This AJ was great fun to make. I put some paper under the pages to protect anything underneath while I painted the pages with gesso. I noticed that the magazine pages I used for this had nice pink stripes so I tore them off and used them for collage! Next I added book text pieces and then knocked it back with more gesso. I then added the stencilling with Distress Oxide Ink and put down some black and white washi tape. I also added some stamping (the little black dots) and a doodle line along the pages. This little Dilly girl was then put on the left page. She was coloured with Copics. Lastly I added the sentiment which is a sticker by Tim Holtz.

You'll find Dilly HERE

This ATC was made with a piece of pattern paper. I added some more of it down the bottom where I also adhered the sentiment from the set. The little pirate was coloured with Copics and adhered onto the card.

You'll find the pirates HERE

This little parrot is from the same Pirate set. I coloured him on holiday with watercolours. I added a swirl to put him on. The sentiment is a sentence out of a book. The coin itself was cut out of a gelli print.

Dreams come true

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing a mini artjournal spread for Katzelkraft.

This was great fun to make.
I painted the background with acrylic paints in light blue and white, then brayered red Archival ink over the edges. I also stamped the script with the red ink. I added some black stamping and washi tape and that finished the background.
Next I stamped all the images, I masked the trash can and bones so it looks like the bones are in the can. I stamped the trash can again and cut off the lid to put on the side. After colouring everything and cutting it all out I arranged it on the pages and glued it down. A Tim Holtz sentiment finished it off.

I have used the following stamps:

Dilly's day

Hello everyone,

This week we had Dilly's Day come out over at Vera Lane Studio. This is such a fun release ! I have made a card, a postcard and an ATC with these adorable girls.

This turned out pretty good I think. Sometimes it is just nice to go CaS !

The CaS thing never lasts long though ! :o)
Back to my messy painty self for this postcard.. and some of my favourite colour combinations.

And an ATC on a piece of left over card that I cut to size. A piece of washi tape and a small talk sticker finished it off.

Of course I coloured all these gals with my trusty Copic Markers.

You'll find Dilly HERE

Travel the world

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my post for UmWow Studio where for today I have made a tag.

This tag was made with a piece of pattern paper. I scraped gesso over it and then added some Glimmer Mist through the UmWow Dahlia stencil. Next I added some darker bits with a Stabilo All pencil and some water. After adding the washitape I glued on the Penny Farthing. I didn't think it needed anything doing to it. Lastly I added a sentiment which I made out of Chitchat stickers by Tim Holtz.

You will find the Penny Farthing HERE.

Trust your wings

Hello everyone,

I have made a tag for AALL & Create today. I hope you like it !

here's how :

I have only used one stencil (#22) and one stamp set (#45).

I started by adding modelling paste through a stencil..

When this had dried, I colourised the tag with Lindy's spray inks.

Next I added some sewing and some background stamping ..

These butterflies are going to be the focal point. I stamped them on music paper and inked the edges.

Here is the finished tag. I added some thread and silk under the butterflies and the sentiment.

Here is some close up...

Hello everyone,

Last week I was leading the challenge over at France Papillon's blog. It is a challenge where you do a layer a day (ALAD), a spread a week (ASAW). This is a great way of art journaling because it takes up little time every day. If you'd like the see the result of my spread then please hop over to France's blog HERE.

For now I will show you a detail...

I hope you'll enjoy my process ! Thank you for stopping by today !

Fearless

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create post I have made a card.

Here's how I made it:

This was what I planned to use, but I used less paint and more stamps.... lol - A girl can change her mind, can't she ?

I brayered the yellow and green paint onto a card panel and added stencilling with Orange Distress Oxide.

Next I used another stencil and model paste to add the tiny flowers. I also added some stamping in the background with the #56 A4 stamp.

Next I stamped the butterfly form Tracy's set #45 on painted Mixed Media paper. I used the same yellow as I did for the background.

I then coloured them with Big Brush Markers by Faber Castell and cut out the wings. I stamped the butterfly twice on the card panel and also added some white splatters. Next I adhered the wings on top, using glue next to the body and foam tape at the edges of the wings.

For the sentiment I used this stampset, also by Tracy. I added some white pen around the letters and black pen around the card panel. I did think it needed more black, so I stamped a tiny sentiment from set #45 three times for more interest.

And here is the finished card !

I think it turned out nice !

I used the following AALL & Create materials:

Stamps :

#6 by Tracy Evans
#45 by Tracy Evans
#56 by Olga Heldwein

Stencils:
#11 by Autour de Mwa
#27 by Kassa Hayselden

Chocolate !

Hello everyone,

For today's post for Katzelkraft I have made a card.

This card was quite simple although I had to stamp it twice... and it still isn't perfect. The sentiment is not quite straight. After stamping I coloured the ducks with Copic markers and went around them with a very light blue marker, blending it out with a colourless blender. I matted the card on some yellow card stock and adhered the whole thing onto a 5 x 7 card.

I used these stamps:

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

For today's DT post I have made a card and a postcard.

These little birds are so cute. They are from a set called Birdhouses. I resized them, printed them and then coloured with Copic Markers. I cut the panel to size and matted it onto some black and white pattern paper. The whole thing was then placed on a card. I added a sticker by Tim Holtz.

You'll find them HERE

Postcard:

This background was made by inking up a stencil with Distress Oxides, spritzing with water and pressing it onto a piece of card. I added a piece of scrap from the side of a sheet of MM paper and some washi tape. I coloured the image with Copics, cut it out and adhered it to the paper strip. Lastly I added the sentiment.

This set is called 'Wheels' and you'll find it HERE

So many reasons to be happy

Hello everyone,

I was really happy when Autour from AALL & Create asked me to stay on for another term ! Yay !
For my first project I have made a garland with 3 flags. I think this would look great in any child's room and the sentiment is one to live by !

And here's how :

started with these ready made flags, I slapped on some gesso. I didn't want it to be very neat. I then put model paste through Stencil #22 by Autour de Mwa.

After the gesso and model paste had dried I painted yellow and green paint where the gesso was. I mixed some dark green paint with Glazing Liquid and painted it onto the model paste and left it for a little while. I then rubbed it off with a baby wipe. The paint will stay in all the nooks and crannies. Next I added some stencilling with white paint and stencil #11 by Autour de Mwa.

I then randomly stamped the background using stamp set #68 and #89 both designed by Fiona Paltridge. I used green and black Archival inks.

It was then time to stamp the main images on the flags. I also stamped them on white card stock to colour and cut out. I used :
#89 Gwendolen
#91 Asher
#92 Brinley

After colouring I cut them out without the doodle lines and glued them on the top of the stamped images on the flags. This way they look perfect !

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and I thank you for stopping by today.
