A quick AJ page + a new VIDEO !!!

Hello everyone,

I have been making videos for a while now and was getting more and more frustrated to find that the footage was so shaky. I have tried researching this problem but could never find a solution. Until last Wednesday when my friend Jenn Engle contacted me about this. We got chatting and she said something that made me eventually find the problem so thank you Jenn ! She makes great videos by the way... Make sure you visit her YouTube channel HERE.

Anyway to test everything out, I made a quick art journal page and filmed the process.

You'll find it here:

I tried to be normal once...

Hello everyone,

I have been doing so much DT work because I am going on my holidays soon that now I find myself with time on my hands... I am ahead of myself so to speak but that is fantastic because I can finally play a little ! Yay !

I had great fun making this postcard with one of Vera Lane Studio's digital images. I adore Janet's images as I adore the stamps she designes for Stampotique Originals..

This little chap is called Calacas and he comes with a brother, a coffee cup and some sentiments. I decided to add some elements from other sets to make him a little more mad !

Obviously it is another gelli printed background. Calacas was coloured with Copic Markers, cut out and adhered. I added the party hat and the cupcake on his shirt; they got the same treatment.
The sentiment is from the Calacas set.

Dog house

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my last blogpost for Stampotique ! I am leaving the team after 3,5 years because it is time to move on. I had a wonderful time here and would like to thank Carol and Jim and of course Kim and Claudine and all my teammates... I hope all the newbies will have lots of fun too !

For this post I have made an Art Journal page using Stampotique Stamps of course but also the some of the die cuts we got for the Eileen Hull collaboration.

I have used a gelli print for the background and added some stamping and stencilling to it. The theme for the current challenge is "Stencil it" so I put some in. I also added stencilling on the house.
You could play along with us too and win one of two $30 vouchers at the end of the month. Just make sure to read the rules first !

I have used the following stamps for this:

Inspire

Hello everyone,
Hallo allemaal,

Today I have a square AJ page to share. I made this for my DT Hobbycompleet de Duif

I started off with a piece of Design paper from 7 Dots studio (6 x 6) and added some stamping with Distress Oxide ink in Iced Spruce. I also inked up the edges with the dame ink. I then stamped the houses on another piece of Design paper from the same series and cut them out. I added a little tiny bit of red to the window frames. I put some Tim Holtz washi tape down and adhered the houses on top. The sentiment was stamped separately and added on one of the houses. Lastly I took my piece to the sewing machine and added some stitching.

Materials:
Ik heb de volgende materialen gebruikt:

Stempels:
PaperArtsy ELB32 en ETS06
Distress Oxide Inkt Iced Spruce
Archival inkt Jet Black

Three Monster Dwellings

Hello everyone,

I was so very happy when I heard I would get the opportunity to make a project with the brand-new PaperArtsy Stamps designed by Elena Guzinska. There is nice post over at the PaperArtsy BLOG today too.

I have made this :

It was so much fun making these little houses out of grey board. I painted them with Fresco Acrylic paints and then stamped them. The little people were stamped separately, coloured and glued into place.

This one is the only one that has a little monster on the back as well as the front:

2 postcards

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I received the new doggie stamps from Katzelkraft in the post. They are fabulous and I couldn't wait to mount them and use them.

I have made two postcards with them :

Both cards are gelli printed and both dogs were coloured with Copic Markers and cut out.
I did add some washi tape to the top card and some background stamping to the bottom one. The sentiment are by Katzelkraft too.

You will find the dogs HERE and HERE

Time waits for no man!

Hello everyone,

I have an art journal page to share today using the lovely new stamps by Visible Image. I love the alphabet stamps, there are more than one of certain letters so that makes is easy to stamp words like 'happy' etc. I stamped them a little wonky but you can line them up really well.

I used a mop up page from my gelli print stack. I really like these; sometimes they are even nicer than the proper prints.
I added some background stamping using Archival ink and the pink clocks were heat embossed with pink embossing powder by WOW.

The letters are stamped on white paper, I then added the circles around them. There is a circle and a square in the set and the letters fit in there perfectly. I used a punch to cut them out.

I like my words to be wonky so I stamped them wonky on purpose. I added some white dots with a white pen.

That was it from me today !

I used all three new stamp sets for this page. You'll find them HERE.

You also still have time to play in our monthly challenge where the theme is 'Dimension'. I have put my letters spelling 'time' on dimensional tape so they stand out more.

Food !

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blogpost for VivaLasVegaStamps!  today ! I have made a trio of ATC's to inspire you with and I hope you'll pick up your stamps and make something too !

And here's how I made them:

I started with a gelli print. This is a mop up page.

I cut the page into three ATC's. There were some small pieces left which I will keep to use as collage material in another project.

Next I added some stamping. I used VersaMark and WOW embossing powder and also Archival Ink in the colour Watering Can.

I stamped all the images on book paper with Archival Ink. I always use the edges of the pages for the sentiments I am going to use. That way they have the same colour as the images. Next task is to cut everyone out.

Having a look where I am going to place everything.

And here is the finished result.

I hope you enjoyed this short tutorial.

Daydreams

Hallo allemaal,
Hello everyone,

Vandaag heb ik een kaart voor jullie.

I have a card to share today. I made this for my DT at Hobbycompleet De Duif. This fabulous stamp is by Carabelle Studio.

This was a very simple card to make. I stamped the image on watercolour card and coloured it in with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. The sentiment is from a PaperArtsy set and was added after colouring. I then adhered the panel onto a white card.

Ik heb de volgende materialen gebruikt:
I have used the following materials:

Neenah Aquarel papier (die papier is fantastisch ook voor Distress Oxides; en het is mooi wit)
                PaperArtsy ELB34
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in de kleuren: 045-041-071-072-026-021-036-050-070-020-022-024
Leuk dat je er weer was ! Tot de volgende keer !

Art journal

Hello everyone,

This week starts a new challenge over at the Stampotique Designers' blog and the theme is "Stencil it". Also we have a collaboration with Eileen Hull this month. We got sent a few goodies by Eileen and one of them was her  'Heartfelt journal'. This is a die set to cut out the bits you need to make your own journal. We received the already cut out bits and I made this with it:

The book was put together first and then I added crackle paste through a flower stencil. I then painted it... Once that was all dry I inked the edges with Archival Ink and stencilled some more with white paint and a dot stencil. I added stamping and the little monster. He was stamped and coloured with Copics, cut out and glued on.

I filled the book with paper and will use it for my journaling...

A close up of the crackle...

We always think we'll have time

Hello everyone,

Today I have a card to share which I made for Visible Image with their new stamps. I love them... so many possibilities.

I used one of my gelli prints. I love gelli prints...
I stamped the clock on it first then added the birds. I added splatters and doodling in white and black and added some background stamping too. Lastly I stamped the sentiment on white card, matted it on black card stock and glued it to the card panel. Lastly I adhered the panel to a white card.

I used the following stamps:

You and me

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my second post for the June challenge over at Country View Challenges.  The the theme is 'hearts' and it was chosen by the lovely Hazel.
Why not have a go yourself ! You could win 20 GBP to spend in the shop HERE. Just remember to read the RULES first!

I have made an art journal this time :

and here's how I made it:

I have to apologise as I got carried away and forgot to take photos of the start ! But what I did was use a crackle paste (Finnabair) and a stencil (UmWow Studio) to add the hearts to my pages. I was very impatient and dried this with my heat tool so there are not many crackles !
Next I painted the pages with gesso (2 layers) and when that was dry I put the stencil back and used 'Worn Lipstick' Distress Ink and a blending tool to add colour to the hearts. That's how far I got when I realised I had to take some photos !

Next I added some script with a stamp (PaperArtsy ENS11) and Grey Archival Ink (Watering can).

Next I stamped the rabbits (Crowned bunnies by Crafty Individuals)  on some pattern paper from an old 6 x 6 pack by My Mind's Eye called 'Lost & Found'. I added some shading with a coloured pencil and then cut them out.

I added them to my page.

Here are some close ups... and after adding some shading and a sentiment (Tim Holtz CMS219) the pages were finished !

Thank you of stopping by today !

Home is where the heart is

Hallo allemaal,

Hello everyone,

For my DT over at Hobbycompleet De Duif, I made this AJ page. Artjournaling is still my favourite thing to do as there are no rules.

I used a gelli print as base for this page. I added some stamping and then stamped the houses on book paper, cut them out and adhered them onto the page. I did cut off some of the detail from one of the houses so I got three different ones with two stamps. The sentiment was typed and the heart cut out of the same book paper. Lastly I doodled around the page and that finished it off.

Materialen :
Materials:
Archival Inkt - French Ultramarine - Leaf Green - Jet Black
Stempels:

Groetjes en tot de volgende keer !

Use your wings

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a small art journal page I made for UmWow Studio. As you might know UmWow is a company that sell chipboards. They are nice and sturdy and laser cut.
Here is my project for today :

I went for the vintage style again today. I love doing a bit of everything !

I decided my bird cage had to be silver ! So i got out the embossing ink and silver embossing powder.

Here you can see how that looked after two layers of embossing powder.

I added some black archival ink to make it a little less shiny and 'new'.

Here is a detail of my page. I started with a piece of 7 Dots Studio paper from the Writer's Block collection. I added some paint with a brayer and stamped it randomly. I stitched around the border with my sewing machine and added some pieces of paper, thread and fabric. I added some stamped butterflies and a sentiment by Tim Holtz. That finished it off nicely.

I have used this Chipboard:

You will find it HERE
