Today I finally used my new Dina Wakley Scribbly Birds stamps. They had been lying on my desk for ages and I kept looking at them. So I made this little art journal with one of them:
The background is a gelli print. I just used a chevron stencil and white ink (you can hardly see it) and a bottle top and some black ink for the circles and the splattering. I also did some sewing. I sometimes do sewing on the cards I make but on art journals it is new for me. I like the effect so I might do it more often. I stamped the bird and the 'tweet tweet' on white card stock. I coloured the bird with Copic Markers and clear embossed him. I cut him out and glued him on the washi tape that I stitched on the page. I doodled around the letters, cut them out and adhered them to my page. Lastly I adhered the page in my journal.
Thanks for stopping by !!
Hope you like it......

Het is dat je zulke stevige kleuren gebruikt hebt, anders zou ik zomaar zeggen: Lief!! Groetjes, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic stamp, Corrie! Love the pinks and blues you have used to color this stamp! Lots of detail here, like the white chevrons in the background and that wonderful stitching--which always adds a nice touch. My machine is out and ready on a table in my studio, but I never think to use it--going to change that! Thanks for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteI continue resist the urge to purchase this stamp set but with great difficulty!
I like the addition of the chevros and the stitching is a lovely addition - such a fabulous page.
