Birthday card

Hello fellow Crafters,

Lately I have been watching a lot of YouTube films made by Christine, her style is not quite mine but I really do like most of her cards. She is very precise and neat, like I try to be and one of her cards really attracted my attention.  You can watch the process of making this card HERE .
I liked this card so much that I 'card lifted' it. I usually don't copy peoples stuff but this one was so nice that I had to do it. So here's my version :

I used a stencil and a warm grey Distress Ink for the base. I then cut a bit of the same paper, stamped Goat Monster, one of Daniel's Hearts and Happy Birthday on this, coloured it all with Copics, also in Warm Grey and a bit of red. Lastly I wrapped the twine around, secured it with staples and put it on the card using dimensional adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it.....

  1. This is such a nice bday card. I love that background you created!

  2. Oh my, this is so cute! I feel so honored you were inspired by my card, your version is just adorabe! You did a great job on that!
Thanks for sharing my video and your nice words. *blush*

    1. No need to blush, your cards are very cool. Although I usually don't go 'cute' I love your clean and precise way of working and the end result is always beautiful ! I will keep watching your videos and might have to copy one of your ideas again sometime !!!

  3. Regende het bij jou ook? Je bent super productief en hoe! Mooi die achtergrond zo! Groetjes, Gerrina

  4. Just subscribed to Christine's videos! I actually watch several others, too, and added appropriate ones to my Pinterest Stampotique board! I really like your stenciled background, Corrie. There is a lot of detail here, yet it remains a CAS card! Beautifully "lifted," yet you made it your own! Way to go!

  5. Love the simplicity and the creatvity.

  6. Brillant layout for a card or even a journal page. Love it!!!

  7. Fantastic colouring and card, love you in clean style too!!! x

  8. Wat een schatje! Prachtig!
