Handle with care...

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today's Challenge was set by me and I would like you to use pink and orange in your background.
Now my mother used to tell me that orange and pink don't go together but because I am a rebel, I think they do !!!
So here is my project for this week :

I started with a piece of watercolour paper and sprayed it with Pink and Orange Dylusions Ink sprays. I did the ghosting technique with a stencil and then decided it was way too bright. So I dry brushed it with gesso; that was much better and you can still see the chevrons created with the ghosting. I used a stencil and pink and orange DI, and a harlequin stencil and gesso to create a bit more interest. The wonky rings were made with India Ink and a cookie cutter. I also used the India Ink to make some splatters. Lastly I used the 'Fax to Wolfgang' stamp and gray ink and I rubbed a black Archival Ink pad around the edges of the panel. I used two of the new release stamps, namely the barcode and the text above it. I stamped them on tissue paper and then adhered it to the panel because the watercolour paper has to much texture to stamp on properly.
'Little Hoo-hoo' was stamped on white paper, coloured and clear embossed. I cut him out and glued him on the panel above the barcode. Lastly I glued the panel on the card.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it.....

I love how your background has turned out the pink and orange look so good together .
Thanks for this challenge as I would never have put them together!

  2. Love your card Corrie, such fun, and your Dylusion background is fabulous. I would never have put orange and pink together either, but you've won me over. Thanks for the challenge xx

  3. Gaaf dat jij ons mocht uitdagen! Heerlijke kleuren; lekker vrolijk! Ik vind de tegenstelling in deze stempel zo leuk! Mooi die ruiten op de achtergrond! Groetjes, Gerrina

  4. Love your art Corrie, thanks for a fab fun challenge this week :)

  5. Though somewhat fearful, I ended up loving your challenge, Corrie! I love your artwork here, too! I don't have Little Hoo-Hoo, but fall more in love each time I see it! Love that you are using that cookie cutter as a stamp (remind me to not eat cookies at your house!), as it is super cute!

  6. Mooi Corrie, wat een mooie achtergrond ook!

  7. thank you so much for this fun challenge, i really enjoyed it!
and your piece is funny and cute at the same time :)))

  8. Fabulous card and a fabulous challenge. I've loved these colours together for a while!! xx

  9. Have to say, I never used to like pink much, and orange has always been my least favourite colour... but since I started crafting I've discovered that when you put the two of them together magic happens and I love them both! So I think this is a brilliant challenge theme, Corrie - do hope I'll have time to play along...

I love your card - a fabulous vivid background, and the shading on the monsters is wonderful!

I love this combo too and this stamp also, your card is really cute!! :) I would love playing with you on Stampotique's blog this week, but I will miss time.. it was not possible last week, and I will be far away from home from early Monday for my job sorry. Have a good week-end Corrie, hugs, Coco x
