And again it is Wednesday. Doesn't time fly !
Today's Challenge on the Stampotique Designers' Challenge blog was set by the lovely Samantha.
She chose 'pink, turquoise and polkadots' as a theme and this is what she said :
"I'm so excited to be sharing with you my love for polka dots. Almost every thing I own is dotty!
Polka dots are great fun as a main feature or as a delicate accent to artwork. My other love is my favourite colour combination, pink and turquoise. So for this weeks challenge I'm inviting you to have fun with my favourite things: Pink, Turquoise and Polka Dots! I can't wait to see your creations, so get your rubber out and have lots of fun creating :)"
Why not have a go as well. You could win $30,-- of those wonderful stamps at the end of the month. The only rules are : only one entry per person and no digi stamps.
This is my take on her challenge :
Recently I have been trying out my Gelli Plate which I bought in February when we were in the US on holiday. The background was one of the prints and I glued it down in my journal cutting off the excess around the edges. I added polkadots in turquoise, pink and white and did some background stamping. I used some India Ink to splatter. Next I drew the lines along the edges.
I then thought I would add more polka dots so I die cut some big ones and coloured them with Spun Sugar DI, edging them with Picked Raspberry DI. I glued them down and used the same background stamp to give them some more interest.
Next I stamped 'Underwhere' on white card and coloured him with Copics, clear embossed him and cut him out. I stood him on some washi tape on the page. I then thought it would be nice to use some more of this washi tape, so I stuck some on some paper and die cut some more of those circles. So now I have polka dotted-polkadots.... I stamped the sentiment on another bit of gelli print and adhered it on top of some more of the same washi tape.
I used the following Stampotique stamps :
Fax to Wolfgang (for the background)

ReplyDeleteI like the pastel colours you've use here Corrie, and although there are plenty of dots in all different sizes, they don't overwhelm the pages.
