This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a postcard with the newly released 'The Wizard'. Doesn't he look dapper !

I printed and coloured him and cut him out. I found this background in my stash. It was made with alcohol inks and a stencil. I used a brayer and toned it down with some white paint. I put down some washi tape and accentuated it with a graphite pencil, stamped the background here and there and I then placed him and the sentiment of the set on it. I also inked the edges of the card.

You'll find the Wizard HERE.

Thank you for stopping by!

Have the best birthday ever !

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create GDT post I have made a postcard :

Here's how I made it :

First, I coloured one of the images of this stamp set and cut it out.

Next I cut a piece of card stock 6" x 4", postcard size and printed this stencil on this. I used Distress Oxide inks Broken China and Dusty Concord. I smooshed them onto the stencil, spritzed with water and printed it onto the paper.

I added stamping.

Some washi tape and I also stamped the image onto the card to get all the little details I couldn't cut out.

a sentiment

All put together and finished !

I have used the following materials:

Stencil:
#143 - Creatively Crossed by Autour de Mwa

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio project, I have made a postcard with the new released set "Aries".

I used a stamping block and Distress Oxide ink to make the background; so smooshed ink on the block, spritzed with water and put the block ink side down on the paper. After it dried I stamped the background here and there and added the pencil lines around the rectangle.
I printed and coloured the image and cut her out. I added her and the sentiment onto the card and that was that.

You'll find her HERE.

Thank you for stopping by !

You and me

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create DT project I have made a wallhanging with popsicle sticks. It is so much fun!

Here is how I made this:

I attached 5 sticks together by glueing 2 half sticks on the back. I then used a pallette knife and scraped white paint over the front of the sticks, added some stencilling and used a  blue paint pen to accentuate the blue 'snowflakes'. Later I toned it down with more white paint.

After toning it down I added some stamping on the background. I used a light blue Archival ink and Versafine Nocturne.

Next I stamped the penguins, ready for colouring. I used Copic Markers for colouring. I then cut them out.

Here they are all coloured up. I also added a piece of washi tape at the bottom for them to stand one.

After I glued everything down I added a sliver of washi tape to the left top corner to give the piece a little more balance.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Stencil #114 Art by Janet Klein
Stamps:
#604 Penguin by Tracy Evansaall
#563 Follow your own path by Tracy Evans
#531 Texture Florals by Tracy Evans

Washi tape #23 Vivre by Janet Klein
