Happy birthday

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a birthday card which I made for the March challenge over at Country View Challenges

This month I am hosting the challenge and because it is my birthday in March I chose the theme 'birthday card' with the added demand that it has to be a birthday card for a man. Yes, I know, we all struggle with that. For my first project I have used only pattern paper and one stamp.

Here's how I made this quick and easy card:

This is the paper I chose to make my card. It's by Stamperia. Susan at Country View Crafts has a very good selection of Stamperia products.

First I used this ink pad to colour the edges of my white card blank. It fits better with the colours I am using.

I cut out a panel, a piece of paper for the sentiment and a triangle that I thought would look great as a party hat. The man is an ephemera sticker, also from the same collection.

I found these circles also in the ephemera pack and decided to put them onto the panel.

Next I used this stamp set by AALL & Create for the sentiment.

Here is the panel all ready to go on the card.

And here it is all finished. I think it looks great.

Please come over to Country View Challenges and play along with us. Just make sure to read the RULES before you do. I will be back in a couple of days with another masculine card. I might even do a video!

Thank you for stopping by today.

To travel is Freedom

 Hello everyone,

Today it's the 1st of July, can you imagine? Time flies doesn't it. I have an artjournal spread to show you and I made this for the new Challenge at Country View Challenges. The theme this month is 'Travel' and was set by Christine.

I don't have a video this time because I have decided to take have a break. It is not filming that takes the time but the editing takes ages. I am going on holiday too this month so all a bit of a rush..

I do have some step by step photos though:

First I chose two images from this fabulous Stamperia paper by Antonis Tzanidakis called Sir Vagabond, aviator.

All cut out and ready to go.

I used a brayer to put some paint on my pages, staying within the colour palette of the paper ie. beiges and a touch of red. I also used a little bit of white to tone everything down.

I also added some stencilling and stamping. Stamps used also by Stamperia.

A bit of washi tape here and there.

After deciding where to put everything I glued the images down. I added three words : to travel is..

I hope you got inspired to play along with us! If you do, please read the rules on the blog first.

I'll be back soon with more inspiration.

Happy Mother's day

  Hello everyone,

For the second inspiration piece for Country View Challenges "Mother's Day" challenge I have made a card.

Here's how:

I cut out some flowers, leaves and a background from this paperback by Stamperia.

I cut into the flowers, bending the petals here and there.

I then layered them using some dimensional tape.

With a Stamperia stencil I added some graphite texture paste.

I then sprinkled some Infusions over the top and spritzed with water. I used "Lemoncello".

Next I used a Stamperia background stamp with black Archival ink.

Next I inked the edges of the card and the edged of the flower. I also glued the leaves under the flower.

I glued the flower onto the card and added the sentiment. I went around the sentiment with a soft graphite pencil and a blender. I then glued the card onto a blank card.

I hope to see you again next month for a new challenge !

Thank you for stopping by today !
