Dream, Magic, Love.

Hello everyone,

I have made a set of three ATC's for my Designteam post for Inkadinkadutchies today and here they are:

The background on these ATC's was made by spraying a piece of watercolour paper with Dylusions ink sprays. I then used a stencil and water to create slightly lighter polkadots. I also splattered some white ink on it. I then cut this piece of paper into ATC sized cards. Next I stamped each card with a bird and VersaMark ink. I then heat embossed with white WOW embossing powder.
I then stamped the backgrounds with the small text in the Dream, Magic, Love stamps and stamped the big words on a piece of separate white card stock. I used Archival Jet Black ink for this. I cut out the big words and adhered them on the cards. Lastly I drew some lines around the cards and did some doodling.

I used the following stamps for these ATC's

These lovely stamps are for sale at Inkadinkadutchies in the Netherlands if you live in Europe or at Lost Coast Designs in the USA if you live outside of Europe.

Music soothes the soul

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I had a great day just playing with paints, inks and stamps and I made this card amongst other things:

I really like this stamp by Visible Image. I think it is one of my favourites.
This postcard was made by cutting a piece of card stock first. I then smooshed some Distress ink onto my craft sheet en sprayed it with water. Next I took a piece of acetate and put it into the ink after which I smooshed the acetate onto my card. I repeated this with different colours until I was happy.
This is called ink smooshing ! haha, no really. I saw Kristina Werner do this on her YouTube channel.
Anyway I then took the 'sing' sentiment stamp and stamped it randomly with the same inks to get a tone on tone effect. Next I stamped the lady from the same set and the sentiment which came from a different set. Lastly I drew two lines around the card.

I used the following stamps:

Sing
Soul Music

I hope I have inspired you to dust off those stamps and get to work !

So retro !

Hello everyone,

For my first DT post for March for VivaLasVegaStamps! I have made an art journal. I have been watching VLVS! own DeeDee Catron doing art journaling on YouTube and I saw her using a shape that I really liked so I borrowed it from her. I am sure she won't mind. It is a circle with a hole in it and to me it looks really retro...

I started with die cutting the circles and the holes in the circles. These circles were then adhered to my journal page. Next I gessoed it all with white gesso.
I used a few shades of yellow acrylic paint (PaperArtsy Fresco paints) and my fingers to add the colour to this page. The dark shades around the circles were made with a brown Big Brush Marker.
next I used a bottle cap with yellow ink and a credit card and some watered down black paint to add some mark making. I also stamped the background a little with Saffron, Sepia and Black Archival inks. There is a list of all the stamps I used at the bottom of this post.

The lady was stamped on white card stock, coloured with Copic Markers, cut out and adhered on the page. I used a coloured pencil to add some shading under her. This is so she is anchored down and not floating in space. The sentiment was also stamped on white card, coloured with copics and the edges were darkened with the Sepia Archival ink. I adhered this to the page as well and that finished it off.

I used the following stamps:

Prendre le temps

Hello everyone,

For my DT Post for Katzelkraft today I have made a card.

The background for the front panel was made with watered down left over acrylic paints. I hate throwing stuff away so I always try to use up what I have. I really liked this rainbow effect and decided to use it for this card.
I started with stamping the drops with VersaMark ink and then I heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I stamped over the top with the circles in similar colours to the background and the script with black Archival ink. I already decided where I wanted the main image and the sentiment so I left some room for those.
Next I stamped the main image on some pattern paper with text; I only wanted the clock. I then stamped the image again on white card stock and lightly coloured it with pencils. I then cut out the head with the hat and glued it on the clock I had already stamped. I also stamped the image on the card directly so I didn't have to cut out the hands of the clock.
I adhered the head which I glued on the clock onto the card panel and then had a complete image again. Can you still follow it ! Lol
The sentiment was then stamped at the bottom and I used a white gel pen to make the letters stand out more.
I then mounted the finished panel on some black card stock and the whole thing onto a white card.

I have used the following stamps (Click on the numbers and they will take you straight to the shop :) :

When your heart speaks...

Hello everyone,

and Happy Wednesday to you. There is a new challenge up on the Stampotique Designers' Challenge blog and this week it is the lovely Sue who decided that it is going to be a Time Challenge. This is what she had to say about it:

'We can sometimes get caught up in making big production pieces. My challenge this week is to make something in 30 minutes or less (not including time taken to gather your supplies). I look forward to seeing what you create'.

And, boy is she right... I can spend a whole day on one project. So this was quite a challenge for me but in the end I made a card in just under 15 minutes and this is it:

I really enjoyed making this quick and easy project. I cut a piece of watercolour paper to size; slightly smaller than the card. Next I stamped the heart and the sentiment using black Archival ink.
I used my INKtense pencils and a water brush to colour everything. I dried it with my heat tool, glued it onto the card and that was it....

I used two Stampotique stamps for this card:

Why not play along with us this week and you might just win one of two $30 vouchers at the end of the month. Just remember: NO digi's and only one entry per person per challenge. Have fun !!!

Thanks for stopping by today !

Just hit the play button

Hello everyone,

For today's DT post for Visible Image I have an art journal to share with you. I have used the "Just hit play" stamp set and one or two older ones.

This started out as a piece of Mixed Media paper which was painted with left over watered down Dina Wakley acrylic paint. I think it is lovely how it all blends into each other when you use the paint thin. It almost becomes watercolour paint. Anyway, I then stamped the background, using the same sort of colours Archival ink and Jet black for the script.

When I was happy with the result I stamped the tape straight onto my page but I didn't like how that looked so I stamped it again on a piece of white card stock using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with black fine embossing powder by Ranger. It then came out nice and black and shiny. Just like a real tape. I adhered it on top of the one that was already there with some foam tape. I added some shading here and there too.

Next I doodled around the page and adhered the flowers and some bakers twine. I used hot glue for this. I only used part of the sentiment. I stamped it onto some gessoed music paper and adhered it above the tape. I then doodled around the words.

The last thing I did was add some white dots for contrast.

I used the following stamps:

Unleash yourself

Hello everyone,

For today's DT post for Roc I have made a tag. I hope you like it, I had a lot of fun making it. Here's a picture.

I cut the base out of white card stock. I also made the little reinforcement ring for the top from the same card stock by punching the small hole first and then using a circle punch, positioning the little hole exactly in the middle and cutting out the circle.
I painted the tag turquoise and when it had dried I scraped some crackle paint (DecoArt Media Line) over it, using an old creditcard. I let this dry naturally. It is fascinating to see the crackles appearing.
Next I used an antiquing cream (DecoArt Media Line) in the colour turquoise. You rub this over the areas where you want it, let it dry and then rub it again with a slightly damp rag to remove the excess.
I also used the black antiquing cream (DecoArt Media Line) around the edges.
Next, I thought it was a little boring so I punched some circles from Pattern Paper by 7 Dots Studio and adhered them to the tag. I splattered some white ink over it and also used a paint pen to add the dots around the circles. Next I stamped the heart vine and painted the hearts pink with acrylic paint. The stems were lightly coloured with a pencil.
I then stamped the dog and the sentiment and coloured both with Copic Markers, cut them out and adhered them to the tag. Lastly I put a ribbon through the hole.

I used the following stamps:
