I made a gelli print with this cobweb stencil and stamped randomly.

I then stamped some more with the ovals and the text next to the gnome.

I added some washi tape

Stamped the images I wanted to use and coloured them, then cut them out.

I then assembled everything on the page and added some Tim Holtz Halloween stickers.

Feed the soul

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a card with products by Tracy Evans.

Here's how I made this:

I did a stencil print with Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Fossilized Amber. It works like this: Take your stencil and rub the ink pads over it until you have a good amount of ink. Spritz with water and put it ink side down on your card.
After this dried I put the stencil back on and used a blending tool and Distress Oxide Ink Victorian Velvet and filled in the 'holes'. A lucky accident was the fact that I put the stencil slightly lower the second time so it created a little white line on the top of the pink which I think looks great. I did tone it down with white paint and a brayer as always.

Next I added some background stamping ..

..and some washi tape..

I stamped the flower I wanted to use.

Coloured it and cut it out. I did make the stem slightly longer by just drawing 2 lines and adding the dots like in the original. I bent the stem carefully because I wanted to use it on its own and I think it looks better.

and there is it! I added some lines around the edge and 2 sentiments from the same stamp set.

I used the following products:

Stencil #178 - Crisp Tulips by Tracy Evans
Washi tape #12 - Horticultural Layers by Tracy Evans
Stamps:
#992 - 30 Days by Tracy Evans
#978 - Hexapetalistic by Tracy Evans

 Hello everyone,

For this week's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard. I have used the newly released "Zombie Love".

For this postcard I made a background with Distress Oxide Inks. I stamped a little and added some stencilling. (Stamps, stencil and washi tape used all by AALL & Create).
I printed, coloured and cut the image out and placed her on a piece of washitape. The flying heart is part of a background stamp by Janet for AALL & Create.

Something wicked

 Hello everyone,

Today's AALL & Create DT post is a journal page.

Here's how:

I made a gelli print with this stencil and acrylic paint. I toned it down with white paint later.

I stamped the images I was going to us. Mrs. Squeak was left over from an earlier project.
I thought I was going to use the signpost on which I stamped 'nowhere' on every sign but I found it difficult to balance the page with three images so I left it off.

I added some stencilling with white paint and some splatters.

Next I stamped the background, using grey and black ink.

I also went around the edges with the black ink pad to frame the page. I then placed the images on the page and decided to give the bus wings. This is part of a stamp set by Janet Klein. All stamps used are listed below. I also added some washi tape and two Tim Holtz sentiments.

I have used :

Stencil #126 - Lotza Starz by Autour de Mwa
Stencil #132 - Flagstone Figures by Autour de Mwa
Washi tape #64 - Spooky Washi by Janet Klein
Stamps:
#940 - Heart Collage by Janet Klein
#956 - Define Halloween by Janet Klein
Stamps by Autour De Mwa & Co:
#366 - Roundly
#1000 - All Aboard
#1046 - Road To Nowhere
#1053 - House of Faces
#1057 - Mrs. Squeak

Trying science

Hi everyone,

For today's AALL & Create Tuesday project I have made a postcard with Miss Dee. She cracks me up and has been one of my favourite characters by Janet for years. Today is she trying science!

Here's how I made this:

The background was a mop up page from the gelli plate that I cut to size. Sometimes the mop up pages are better than the actual gelli prints.

I added some background stamping and then used a brayer and white paint to tone it down.

Next I stamped Miss Dee and coloured her with Copic Markers. I then cut her out.

I added a piece of washitape for Miss Dee to stand on.

I adhered Miss Dee to the card and cut the sentiment into pieces. I added some pencil lines under the words and smudged them with a blending stump and added some lines here and there around the edges of the card.

 I have used :

Stencil #157 - Twisting & Turning by Tracy Evans
Washi tape : #59 - Paper Stitches by Janet Klein
Stamps:
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#973 - Equations by Janet Klein
#972 - Matter Of Dee by Janet Klein

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For this week's Vera Lane Studio project I have made an artjournal page with the newly released 2 sets called 'The Sanderson Sisters'.

Now I have to tell you that I did not have a clue who the Sanderson Sisters were so I had to google it. It seems they were in a film called Hocus Pocus. Maybe I should watch it.

Anyway I printed, coloured and cut them out. I made a background with Distress Oxide ink and one of Janet's stencils called Wheelies. I added some washi tape, also by Janet and some stamping with one of her Halloween stamps for AALL & Create. After putting everything together I mounted the page on some pattern paper to frame it.

You'll find the Sanderson Sisters HERE and HERE

Boo!

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to another AALL & Create Tuesday. For today's DT project I have made a Halloween postcard. It didn't go to plan though!

Here's how and why it came out different than planned.

First I made a gelli print with acrylic paint and this stencil. I then cut this print to the size of a postcard which is 6" x 4".

I added some background stamping using similar colours as the background and a bit of grey for the small text.

The plan was to put Mrs. Squeak on the bottom right of the trolley as if she was going to buy pumpkins so that is why I stamped her. I also stamped the moon and the trolley direct on the card to make the images look perfect even if you don't cut them out perfectly.
I stamped Mrs. Squeak's cat directly because she is black and not easy to cut out.

So I then used Copic Markers and coloured everything and cut the images out.

When I put Mrs. Squeak on the bottom right corner of the trolley she was hardly visible. The trolley and Mrs. Squeak are dark so she didn't stand out. I had already put some ground down to put her on but still decided not to use her. Instead I added a sentiment. I think it still came out nice.

I have used the following products:

Stencil #146 - Reverse Cobweb by Bipasha Bk
Stamps:
#366 - Roundly by Autour De Mwa
#956 - Define Halloween by Janet Klein
#1053 - House Of Faces by Autour De Mwa & Co
#1057 - Mrs. Squeak By Autour De Mwa & Co
#1059 - Versi Trolley by Autour De Mwa & Co
#998 - Deer Oh Deer by Autour De Mwa & Co
