  Hello everyone, 

For today's VivaLasVegaStamps! post I have made a postcard. I have used a mix of new and older stamps for this. 

I have made the background with Distress Oxide Inks. I used the smoosh the inked and dunk method, drying between layers. The images were coloured with coloured pencils.

It is always possible... a journal page for AALL & Create

 Hello everyone, 

welcome to my blog where today I am sharing an art journal page made for AALL & Create. I used some of Bipasha's stamps for this and I can't wait to start working with the new ones that come out on Wednesday ! 

and here's how:

First I cut a piece of paper to 6x6 and printed this stencil on it. I rubbed it with Distress Oxide ink in Vintage photo and Speckled egg. 

After I used a brayer and some white paint along the edges I used this stamp again with Distress Oxide ink ( Antique Linen) to add some more interest. 

Next I stamped some flowers partly along the edges and added some black paint to accentuate the black ink. 

 Next, I stamped the typewriter stamp on my project, first I used Speckled egg, then a grey VersaFine and lastly a black Versafine, starting on the top and bottom, working my way to the middle. I also stamped just the typewriter on some separate paper and cut it out. I will glue this over the top. 

And here you see how that looks. I also used part of the sentiment that is above the typewriter and stamped it on a piece of paper to cut into strips and adhere. 

I think it came out quite neat ! Oh, I forgot, I also added a tiny piece of the fabulous washi tape on the right hand bottom, just because I could ! lol

Tis near Halloween !

 Hello everyone, 

For the second inspiration piece for Country View Challenges I have made a journal page. The theme is "Halloween, create a scene" and here's mine:

We hope you will play along with us but before you do, please read the RULES.

So, I used two Vera Lane Studio digital images for this together with some Tim Holtz stamps and PaperArtsy paints.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone, 

Happy Thursday! For this week's Vera Lane Studio DT post I have made a postcard and a mini journal page. 

This postcard was made with a gelli printed background from my stash. I added some white paint with a brayer to tone it down slightly and added some stamping with Janet's "Background Noise" stamp set by AALL & Create. I coloured the little girl with Copic Markers and cut her out. I then adhered her and the sentiment from this set to the card. Some doodling finished it off.

This mini journal page was made by dunking a piece of paper into Distress Oxide Ink and water on my craft sheet. I used 'Faded Jeans'. When that was done and dry I decided to leave it just like that. I coloured the little flower girl and cut her out. I adhered her onto the page on top of some washi tape and added the sentiment from the same set.

Sometimes a hug says enough - card for AALL & Create

Hello everyone, 

For today's AALL & Create guest design post I have made a clean and simple card:

Here's how I made this:

I inked up this stamp with Distress Oxide Ink in 'Tumbled Glass' and spritzed it lightly with water, then stamped. I wanted a nice light background. 

This cutie was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copic Markers. I then cut her out. 

Next I decided that part of this sentiment would be perfect for her. 

A close up of her. I added some of AALL & Create's new fabulous washi tape for her to stand on. 

I adhered her and (part of) the sentiment to the card panel and then glued the whole thing onto a white card blank.

Dearly departed, a halloween scene

 Hello everyone, 

It is October and that means another new challenge starts over at the Country View Challenges blog. This time the lovely Monika chose the theme and she went for 'Halloween - create a scene' and although Halloween is not really celebrated here in Holland I had loads of fun making a card with a spooky scene. 

We would love you to play along but make sure to stick to the rules that you can find on the CVC blog. We notice more and more people taking part that are not sticking to the theme. Unfortunately that will mean you will be deleted but worse, you won't have a change of winning that £20 voucher. 

I also filmed the process as I usually do so you can see how I made it. That leads me to my question for you. I know there are some of you that really enjoy my videos but if I look at the statistics I see that most people don't even watch until the end, hardly anybody leaves a comment and sometimes these comments are criticisms about the music or something. So, I am wondering whether it is really worth doing them as they are quite a bit of work. I'd like to hear your thoughts, either in English or Dutch.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone, 

Happy Thursday ! Today, for my Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard and a mini journal page. I have also a second bonus postcard which I made with the Batgirl collage sheet. It is so quick and easy to make a nice card with these ready made images. 

This first postcard was made with the newly released "See you later". Isn't he dapper. He has a girlfriend too which I will keep for a future project. 

I had this background lying around. It is made with the shaving foam method, so much fun but also very, very messy. I just added a little stamping and a piece of washi for him to stand on.

This mini journal page is really just a postcard sized piece of paper. I just sometimes like to glue them into my journal. Again, the background was made with shaving foam. The little witch and cat are from the "Free broom rides" set.

This postcard is a bonus card. It was really quick and easy to make. I took a gelli printed background from my stash, added some white paint with a stencil and with a brayer and then just glued some of the images from the "Batgirl" collage sheet onto it. The sentiment is a word chip by Tim Holtz from his Halloween collection. I just cut it smaller.
