Still just a rat....

Hello everyone,

It is my turn today to show you some VivaLasVegaStamps! inspiration and I have chosen one of the latest release Banksy stamps combined with some older stamps. I have made a postcard:

The base for this postcard is a 6"x4" piece of card stock which I coloured with Distress Oxide Inks. I also stamped a little with them....

The chain link fence and the rat with the bolt cutters were stamped directly onto the postcard. I used a white pen to add some detail to the rat.

the sentiment was stamped separately, cut out and adhered on pieces of washi tape. I used the same washi tape to stand the rat on.

And here it is again :

I hope you like him...

Create yourself..

Hallo allemaal,
Hello everyone,
Vandaag heb ik een art journal pagina voor Hobbycompleet De Duif om te laten zien. Ik hoop natuurlijk dat jullie hier inspiratie in vinden en de ook de stempels en verfjes oppakken !

Today I have an art journal to share for my DT Post for Hobbycompleet De Duif.

I have made a blue/green gelli print to start with. I used a PaperArtsy Mask in it. If you look carefully, you can still see it. When I was happy I stamped the face; eyes with black Archival, mouth with Pink Distress Oxide Ink. I also stamped the eyes on white paper and cut them out. I glued them over the eyes on the gelli print. I shaped the face and nose with a coloured pencil.

I made a second gelli print using pinks; I used stamps while printing and also afterwards. I die cut flowers out of this gelli print. I made little circles out of stamped white paper for the centres of the flowers. I also doodled around these circles.
After I was happy with the flowers I glued them down around the face. Lastly I stamped the sentiment.

I have used the following materials:

Ik heb de volgende materialen gebruikt:

- Amsterdam Acryl Verf (gebruikt kleurtjes die je leuk vindt, use colours that appeal to you)
- Kleurpotloden (in de kleuren die bij je project passen, use colours that suit your project)
- Cirkel stansjes Circle dies

My own little world

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today we celebrate another release by Stampotique Originals. It is also the second week of the 'One Layer' challenge. We would love to see you play along with us this week; you might just win one of two $30 vouchers at the end of the month. Just read the rules first !

Anyway, I made a card for this week's, for me very difficult, challenge !

I have used two stamps from the new release.  I stamped Matilda and the sentiment on a piece of Bristol card stock and coloured everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.
I then glued the panel to a white card and that was that !

May

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my calendar page for May ! I used 100 Proof Press for this page as usual. You'll find all the lovely stamps from them HERE !

Here's my page for May :

I have used Tim's Oxide inks for the background. I have put them on my craft sheet and then dunked my piece of paper in it.  These colours are pretty perfect for Spring I think.  I added some stamping with the same inks and doodled around the edges.
I stamped the Hares on a piece of pattern paper (looks white but there is some hints of pink in it) and than cut them out leaving a small white border around them. I glued them on the page and cut off the excess.  The sentiment was typed on my old typewriter.

I have used the following stamps:

Strong women..

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blog where today I have a project to share for the new Challenge over at Country View Challenges. The theme for this month is "Flower Power" and was chosen by Monika.
I made a mini art journal page :

and here's how I made it :

I used a gelli print from my stash and stamped one of the flowers of the PaperArtsy EKD06 stamp set repeatedly onto it with VersaMark ink.

Next I heat embossed the flowers with white embossing powder.

I then cut them out. I also stamped one of the women from the Dina Wakley set "from the Past" and cut her out.

Next I made a background with water colour paper and Distress Oxide Inks.

This is what is looks like when I put it all together; I used a sentiment from the same Dina Wakley set and matted the whole thing on black card stock. I also used a black pen to doodle around the edges of the card.

I hope you will play along with us this month ! You can win a 20GBP voucher ! Just make sure to read the rules HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today !

Attitude is everything !

Hello everyone,

It is the 1st of May today and that means I have a project over at Roc's blog. I have made a postcard today but it is a little different to my normal stuff..

Sometimes I like to try different techniques. I have used paper piecing before but it was a long time ago so I decided it was time to do it again and it was great fun !
I used a 6" x 6" paperback by 7Dots Studio called 'Writer's block'.
I used a stencil on the background to create the blue trellis. I used a normal pencil and the same stencil to add a light lines around the blue figures to make them stand out more.
I stamped horse on a different pattern paper from the same series and did the same with the hat and eyes. I painted the pupils of his eyes with the same blue paint. I also added some shading to the horse and the hat with Copic Markers. When I was happy with the result I glued it all together on the card after adding some washi tape.
Lastly I stamped the Heart Vine and coloured in the stems and hearts with Copic Markers.
The sentiment is a small talk sticker by Tim Holtz.

I used the following stamps:

You will find all Roc's fantastic rubber stamps HERE.
