Makes for swaps

Hello everyone,

today I thought I'd show you two pieces I made for two swaps. I like to take part in the 'decorated tag' swap and the 'postcard' swap at the UK Stampers Forum FB page. This is a really friendly and open page to enjoy.. There are also ATC and Inchie swaps.

Here is the tag I made for the January swap:

I used a Magda Polakow stamp for this. Isn't she cute...

And this is my postcard for the Postcard swap...

I used an old Dina Wakley stamp for this.

You could take part too... it is so much fun to get a nice postcard or tag in the post...

Thank you for stopping by today !

Monsters just want to have fun

Hello everyone,

Every month I try and take part in the UK Stampers Forum's tag and postcard swaps. I have finished mine for August and these are them :

The theme for the tag was 'anything goes'. Have used one of my faves Zini's by PaperArtsy on a background of Distress Oxide Inks.

The theme for the postcard swap was 'buildings' so I used this fab stamp by Lost Coast Designs on a gelli printed background.

If you like swapping stuff then the UK Stampers Forum FB page is the place to go !

Thank you for stopping by today !

Swapsies

Hello everyone,

When you read this I will be going on my holibobs... Hubby is taking me to Wales to walk them hills... makes me tired just thinking about it, lol ! Luckily there will also be lots of great food and wine... and we are staying in a fabulous holiday home. So not all bad ! haha.

I have been busy making stuff to get ahead and today I am showing you two pieces I have made for swaps. I try and swap some stuff every month and this particular group (UK Stampers Forum) is fantastic. There are great people and a friendly atmosphere. It is just a fun group. If you are interested in joining in here is the LINK to the page. Anyway, here are my two pieces for the swap for July:

This one is for the postcard swap and was made with acrylic paints, stamps by Tim Holtz (Sea Life) and Copic Markers to colour the fish. I finished it off with a Small Talk sticker also by Tim Holtz.

This one if for the decorated tag swap and was real simple to make.  I die cut the tag and then I just stamped Jillian's head several times on it, making sure to turn it every time.  I then stamped her again on a separate piece of paper. I coloured this one with watercolour markers (ZIG) and then matted her on black paper. The sentiment was stamped and matted on black as well. I then put the whole thing together. All stamps I used are by Stampotique Originals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

A bit of love

Hello everyone,

I had some fun today making a postcard for the swap over at Roc Nicholas' FB page. The theme is Valentine's Day and I couldn't resist using 'Horse' again... It must be my favourite 'Roc stamp' !

This card started out as a piece of Gelli Print. First I cut it to size 6"x4" and used a heart die set to cut out one big and two small hearts. I chose a piece of design paper to put behind the hearts and to put my horses and sentiment on. Next I stamped Horse; once in it's original form and once I masked off the hat, stamped it on a piece of blank rubber (a piece cut off a set of unmounted stamps) and then stamped the blank rubber on my paper and voila : a reversed image...
Next I coloured them both using Copic markers. I gave the grey version a bow and eyelashes to change him into a her...  I then stamped Heart Vine on the gelli print and coloured in the hearts and the stems with coloured pencils. I also used coloured pencils and some Gamsol to add the shading around the hearts and around the edges. Lastly it was a case of putting it all together.. I glued the horses behind the gelliprint and then adhered the whole thing on the pattern paper. Next I added the sentiment which are Tim Holtz ChitChat stickers and doodled around them..
I then added a piece of white card stock on the back of the card and that finished it off.

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

Jingle your own damn bells!

Hello everyone,

For a new swap over at  the ART-EX  Facebookpage, where the theme is 'non-traditional' Christmas postcard,  I made this:

This postcard started out as a 6"x4" piece of white card stock. I painted it with a pink acrylic paint and my fingers... I used a little white to make it a touch lighter. Next I stamped one of Dina Wakley's stars three times with VersaMark and heat embossed it with white WOW embossing powder.
I then used some of Finnabair's stamps and one Katzelkraft stamp to bring some more interest to the background. I still thought is was a little boring so I used a blue acrylic paint and a palet knife to scrape some blue over the top. I thought this looked much better. Next I stamped this grumpy cat, which is one of the cats of the new Katzelkraft set and the hat which is part of an accessories set for these cats and is also by Katzelkraft. I coloured both with Copic markers, cut them out and adhered them on the card. I did stamp the cat directly on the card as well, so I didn't have to cut out the whiskers. The sentiment is a Stampotique Stamp and was also stamped, cut out, cut in strips and adhered to the card. Lastly I went around the edge with black Archival ink.

I hope whoever is going to get this card in this swap, will like it.

Thank you for stopping by today !
