Rawr, stomp

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a mini book. I used Janet's new stamp set with the Dinos and I think it turned out super cute !

Here's how I made it:

I cut a 12 x 12 piece of design paper into an approx. A4 size and folded it in 8. I then made a cut in the middle so I could fold it into a book. Lots of tuts on YouTube if you want to make one. Just google Zine-book.

Here is it all folded and glued.

I started with grey and white paint and a brayer to tone down the pattern. I then added stencilling with a green acrylic paint and this stencil. I repeated this on all the pages + the front and back covers.

I then added some washi tape here and there just to make it look a little bit more interesting. This is also repeated on all pages.

Next I added some stamping with this new stamp set from Janet.

I then stamped the dinos. I used pattern paper to stamp on because I thought that would be cute. I still ended up colouring them. lol.

I used watercolour markers and coloured pencils to add some colour to them. I did the eyes with a white paint marker. Next I cut them out and decided where I wanted them.

Here is the front of the book. I added a sliver more of washi to put him on and stamped the two words that come with the set. I also added a sticker saying 'attitude'.

  1. This is one of my favourite mini book forms, and I love your use of colour here especially. My grandson would be all over those dinosaurs - they definitely have some attitude. ;-)

  2. Magnifique ! j'ai utilisé ces tampons que j'ai colorisé aux copics (mais je ne suis pas une experte) sur une boite à chaussures décorée pour la rentrée de mon petit neveu. Biz
